Same here. That bit, and the one where Jez says something about Zara saying "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" and Mark lists the most absurd scenario. "What about losing all your money? Or shitting yourself in public? Or Alzheimer's? Or the tabloid press mistakenly outing you as a p***o? Or all of those things plus you're drowning?" And imagining all of that happening to someone just sends me every time

Probably not the most popular opinion as even a lot of fans wanted the show gone by series 8, but I wish they'd kept going, it could be into like 15 series by now and still be the best thing on tv alongside Inside no 9.
A series during lockdown would have been particularly interesting, or Mark could have finally lucked into a six figure job and moved and bought another flat and this could have tested their friendship, we could have had them be on holiday for a couple of episodes and it could have been like S4 episode 1 where lots of crazy shit happens when they're out of the confines of the flat, there's so much more they could have done with the show.
Honestly, just sitting and thinking about that show through lockdown would’ve been absolutely amazing but I think both actors want a different things from their acting, careers at that point realistically speaking, there wouldn’t have been much other than mark having more children I guess😂
Being a massive fan of the show and having watched in multiple times I don’t understand why so many people seem to hate on the last series or 2 of the show. I personally loved all 9 series and thought the show remained strong, interesting and very funny until the very end. There are one or two small moments I’m a bit like “meh” but I still think series 8 and 9 are brilliant brilliant telly.
