He is perfect in the way he excecuted all his fundamentals. And above this all, he is a realy teamplayer. He gives every player the chance to be in the game, therefore they become better players. And he goes for the maximum teameffort. That’s what a MPV has to be. It is nice to watch him, and see his moves.. sometimes I still can’t believe what I see.

    Remember Tim Duncan? He was always wanting to share the full game with his teammates. He set the example for playing Team Ball with all his teammates. Same situation with Jokic. They found out how much fun it is to play full court with full effort from everyone. It's a lot more fun to play team ball when a guy like Jokic can do it all. Murray gets confident and decisive and both Jokic and Murray drawing doubles and willingness to dish to anyone open at any stage ... Or shoot it themselves. Defenders can't sag double. But play in their grill, and you are already set up to fail, unable to to help where the pass went. Sag and they drain a shot.

      It's a great comparison but Jokic is a better passer and maybe a better rebounder. He runs the offense better. The context of Jokić's 3rd quarter needs underlining. The game was at 55-53 to the Wolves, in the pivotal game 5 which tends to determine the winner of the series. The Nuggets then went on a 35-19 run which basically won them the game. So Jokić took over and controlled the key portion of the key game and maybe won the series against the team many saw as legit championship contenders. Sounds ridiculous but the historic stat line Jokic put up yesterday does not really serve a justice to what we watched. I am still in awe and so happy that I might have witnessed the greatest individual playoff performance ever.

    Minnesota should bring back the blitzkrieg defense we saw in game 2. It's their best defensive identity (for this matchup). Jokic has figured out how to score on Gobert. Having Naz at the 5 allows the wolves to scramble better after doubling/blitzing/denying the ball

    If Nuggets manage close out MIN (job not done), then Jokic is about to go on a GOAT making run. Non of these teams left (not counting CAVs, looks like they are about to tank game 5)=PAC/NYK/BOS/OKC/DAL have a defender to put on him, don't have secondary defender to double team, not even talking tertiary defender for the rotation. Also nobody that will make him work on the other end OR pick up 1 rebound over him...dude is about to average 40-20 on 60% FG, in con-finals and finals...they might just abolish NBA after this season, give it a break for 5 years or pay him to retire early

      I agree no one is going to stop him but with Porzingis and Horford the Celtics do have multiple bigs that can at least put up some resistance. He'll still drop 30 but they''ll make him work a little. Re the Cavs Jokic has eaten up that front line regularly.

      When OG was in Toronto under NN he guarded him well along with help defense. He git up in his grill & made it difficult while Fred & Scottie was a help side defender. Scottie coming out party as a rookie was on that west coast trip in Denver. He had almost a triple double & played well against Joker. Nick Nurse as much as some NBA fans is a great tactician coach.

    Games 1 & 2 threatened to teach Denver the lesson about needlessly extending series and health risks. Denver and even Jokic are NOT shooting well enough to win the chip if Murray or AG goes down

    Haliburton just overthinks things too much, I get that he may not have that crazy explosive first step, but a lot of times he actually has a lane but he’s too focused on playmaking, so he pulls the ball back out. If I’m Rick Carlisle, I’m telling him to shoot every time, then once you have the defense rushing out to you, you can find great shots for others. Also, Tyrese, bulk up a little. That’ll help you establish position on drives.

    • @mollyweir9350
      @mollyweir9350 Před 23 dny

      Your #1 option needs to compete on both sides of the ball. Haliburton doesn't do that & he currently doesn't have a "killer instinct". Last night in a must win game he was a no show. On another note, Rick, his coaching staff or Hali does not know how to use Siakam. He is not a perimeter ( standing on the 3 pt line player). Also, at 30 yrs old he is not the defender he once was & therefore should not be tasked to man the paint while closing out to shooters.

    Denver is very fortunate because they are going to walk into the Finals healthy and confident. If OKC wins it will be a cake walk where it will be an easy sweep unless they have a game where they just shoot over 50% from 3. Dallas was the only real threat (because Luka is basically the scoring version of Jokic), but with Luka injured and unable to shoot from the outside, Dallas has no chance. Lively and Gafford could make it a little tough on the boards and if Washington stays hot he could give them a lift, but they lack the scoring to stay with Denver. On the bright side, the 3 headed monster of mid-sized athletic small forwards could all play, but with no shooting ability there's not much they can do either. Kyrie could score 30 a night, but they'll still lose unless magically Luka starts putting up 35-45 again. So it's a walk to the Celtics who may or may not have a healthy and ready Porzingas and it could be a short series.

    18:01 jokic is a lot taller then ant obviously it’s easier to pass out of double teams because of that and it’s easy for him to get in the paint because he’s huge and arguably the strongest player in the nba when he wants to be, so he can just backdown his man and just make the right reads. Ant can’t really impact like that. Ant is gonna have to play off ball a lot more against this team to make a better impact

    I really think Tyrese and the pacers got cocky after game 4 and came out super flat in the pivotal game 5. They aren’t mature enough to compete at a championship level.
