As a Nuggets fan, I didn't see Gobert being particularly bad. Did you guys catch early in the game when Jokic made a remarkable pass to AG around Gobert, Gobert still managed to turn around and block AG's shot in the split of a second. Look at the box score Timberwolves had the best defense with Gobert on the floor. He was -2 in 40 minutes and they lost by 15 points. KAT was -17 in 38 minutes. McDaniels was -18 in 31 minutes. Gobert played solid. Jokic is just playing on another level. That is the difference and you guys should be talking about him more, not the Timberwolves. They did nothing wrong.

Rinse and repeat till Denver wins a series.
Bring new opponent, and do everything all over again.
How many times do you need to do this till you finally face the fact: Jokic is MVP for a reason, and Denver is a Champion for a reason. Accept it, it will be way less stressful to watch them, and you might actually enjoy their play.

The Timberwolves have played well in game 4 and 5 its just Denver has showed up. They are the superior team.

Offensively Timberwolves are not that good, Nuggets stop them defensively, on top of that Nuggets destroy them offensively.

Draymond in the playoffs makes stupid lazy passes in the backcourt with 3 defenders and have the ball easily stolen and dunked, losing to the Lakers.
Jokic on the other hand, makes 60 feet laser pass to teammate for a slam dunk.
Draymond is such a weak link that defenders like AD don't even guard him because he throws up bricks. With Jokic, AD comes all the way out to the perimeter to guard him and that helps open up the driving lanes.

That game 5 was an A game for the wolves. It's just that denver is a superior team. The 1st 2 game loss was just a shock for denver then they made adjustments. This is not just a physical game, this is mental as well.

I don’t like commentators who haven’t played in the NBA discussing how badly NBA players are playing. Not only that but how good a defensive player is determined by how other defensive players played! Rudy is the best defensive player but he is playing against the best player of the world. And on the first 2 games the best player in the world was not playing well.
Denver played the best defense I’ve ever seen them play, in game four. That’s why they won. If they can keep up that defense the rest of the way, go ahead and crown them champions.

Feel the Nuggets were too complacent in those first 2 games off the back of the Lakers series and got rightly punished for it and then with all the media critiscism that followed after game 2, it clearly lit a fire under them and for the last 3 games the real Champion Nuggets showed up and the Wolves just don't have an answer for it........the Nuggets now just need to keep their foot on the Wolves throat and finish the job in game 6.

These types of takes peeve me a little because they almost always ignore the fact that both teams practiced, planned and tried to execute a game plan but only one team can win. There was real adjustments and counter adjustments happening throughout the game by both teams but pundits make it seem like it was a lack of “heart” or some other esoteric cause for the loss by one team.

I think the thing that everyone is missing is the officiating change. Wolves were allowed to be extremely physical and then they weren’t allowed to do it anymore game 3. Even though they have still shot more free throws in every game. But it does come down to also joker is just better than everyone.
The Timberwolves shot more free throws in game 3 and 4 than Denver when they lost. In games 1 and 2 Denver shot more free than Minnesota and Denver lost. So I don't know what you're talking about about.

Ant is the only one on that team who is young. The other players aren't that young, they just haven't been deep into the playoffs, other than Conley.
If you substitute Jokic with Michael Jordan putting up the exact same stat line, this crew would NOT be saying how disappointed they are with the T-wolves.

Joker doesn't have to be the best player on the floor(which he is) for the Nuggets to win. Kat and Rudy will not coming back next season if the Wolves lose game 6. If you watched the game both bigs play small, they can't score at will and Kat is missing for most quarters.

Jokic is exposong the lack of experience from the younger timberwolves roster in mcdaniels and reid by drawing the fouls. Gobert can only be so aggressive without giving fouls. Double teaming or putting pressure in murray/jokic will just let aaron gordon run free. Kcp,mpj and braun can easily be the x factor on any giving night. Mpj 20pts game 3, kcp 16 pts game 4, braun/reggie putting in crucial points durring non jokic minutes.
Timberwolves need conley and kat to be an offensive threat consistently to relieve pressure for ant.
Its easier for nuggets to get the win condition as they got more pieces they can rely on.

First of you have to give the Nuggets credit. As a Lakers fan, when I saw how the Twolves beat the Nuggets the first 2 games, I thought the series was over. I was even rooting so hard that the Twolves will sweep the series so it can make it look like the Laker's coach was at fault for not making proper adjustments. Watching the last 3 games made me realize just how hard it is to beat this team 4 times. The Nuggets coach Mike Malone is an attention to detail type of coach. He made appropriate adjustments after just 2 games when it looked like it was about to get swept, called his team out in public, and they responded. I've never seen Denver played so desperate to win and looked focused throughout the next 3 games now taking a 3-2 lead. The Nuggets coach did not wait to make an adjustment in the offseason, he made it after just 2 games. That's a really good coach that takes his job seriously. They handed the twolves their first 3 game losing streak for the first time all season. I didn't even think they would be able to win 4 out of 5 after losing their first 2. The Twolves coach has not made any adjustments given the fact they were leading 2-0 so if they lose this series, he should be in the hot seat. Because what's going to happen is they will continue to lose to the Nuggets as it looks like they have figured them out. Just ask Darvin Ham. There is no reason to lose to a team 12 out of 13 times. I don't care how strong that team is. If you played them that much and you have seen their adjustments, there is no reason to continue losing to them. I can see this happening to the Twolves.

Are people forgetting what the T'Wolves were built for? They were built for defense not offense. You cannot complain about offense from the role players when that is not their primary skill set. Ant and KAT are the only players that are offensive players. Maybe Conley but the guy is more of a facilitator.

There's nothing you can do once you woke the eyes of champ. Just shake their hands and move on. For Ant, I want him to practice passing. His 4th game was disaster. He will have his time though in the next couple of years.
