Cass would have fit in perfectly these days just as then. Especially now that we have weight acceptance more, and her personality is awesome, being open to change, her talented singing voice. She would have loved the Internet. I wish I knew her. My mother loved Cass. She had her records and Mamas and Papas Records

I am 68 yrs old and have been a fan of the M&P since they came on the scene. Fell in love with her voice and personality. She was so funny! I’ve been praying and hoping for a film on her unique life for years now. I hope someone comes out and does her life story justice. I hope they use her recordings because there is not another artist out there that could do it justice. Only one Cass Elliot voice. There will never be another in this world!! So thankful we have her vocal recordings and these you tube recordings.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed to making these available to all her fans!!!

@@AnthonyLago I know about stage names. I think I didn't make the connection at the time that Cass was supposed to be short for Cassandra. I had never heard that before since everyone called her Cass. I think he was trying to get at her real name and I just find the reluctance to tell it interesting. Olivia Colman, Meryl Streep, Woody Allen, and countless others all have stage names, but typically you see them fess up to it in interviews and things.

@@sg-yq8pm Unfortunately EVERY talk show host of the era, except Johnny Carson, and every reporter and interviewer would make comments. She was the 1st FAMOUS woman who was overweight. I remember when people 1st saw her they were appalled that a fat person would allow themselves to be seen in public. She endured great humiliation and ridicule for just trying to achieve her dream. We can't imagine today but it was a very different time.

That is a figure of speech in the music business, or artists in general, we do things so we can eat..., The term starving artists, or musician is a real thing, I speak from experience, and you are watching from 50 years of future bias and times were different then not as sensitive and comments were taken at face
