Likely to be Charlie Appleby's #1 in this year's Breeders Cup Turf with Yibir out of the picture. He comes off of winning the same race that vaulted Yibir to victory last year, coupled with the fact that 3YO have a very good record in the BC Turf.
Yo. For everyone raving about Flightline, check out the times thrown down by Appleby's horses today. Nations Pride at 2:24:14 for 12 furlongs and Modern Games 1:32:42 for the Mile at Woodbine are in the ball park at blazing times. Note that Baaeed would have buried either of them! A lot of amazing horses worldwide.
Yea stahhp it stahpp it i mean if thats the case secretariet wouod run a 1 / 1/4 in 154 now 1 tracks are way quicker now an 2 depending on the ground turf cut dryness times can be super quick!!!! Wise dan went in. 132 at woodbine aswell
@Randy Swanson So a horse needs to be anything over evens to be good? I guess on your basis that would have counted Frankel and Secraterat for most of their races.
I wonder if connections haven't made a mistake taking Nations Pride out of the Arc? He looks like he would have been more than capable of going close in last weekend's French three year olds Arc trial (the Prix Niel) and the Arc field doesn't look the strongest quality this year.
@@johncahill3903 It's possible but not definite, he seemed to handle soft on his debut when he finished a responsible second, and has also won twice on standard (whatever that is?) all weather, but you could be correct as he definitely is decent on fast ground.
@@johncahill3903 That is true, Teofilio's do seem to favour fastish ground, he's a good sort, I was surprised he got the mile and a half so well, I was under the illusion that he didn't stay after finishing slightly disappointingly in the Derby, he had previously beaten Hoo Ya Mal well in the race before and Hoo Ya Mal was second in that race (Derby).
@@nightowl7459 I recall the conversation we were having about his possible stamina doubts over 12f pre Epsom. His win here does surprise me a little, but good on him.

Rebels Romance is in the mix for that race too

@David Turco
That's always the best way to find a horse out, make them run a fast race by using pacemakers.
Cant compare time on dirt & turf.. turf races run in faster times than the dirt.. & trust & believe that horse name Flightline is beast
@@reinaldocorneiro5311 Yeah, two completely different surfaces, and Flightline is out on his own.

Frankie is still numero uno!
Anybody could have ridden that horse to victory.
@@alfredlandesman5165 You couldn't.
@@alfredlandesman5165 OUCH!!
Dont usually see horses win by such large margins on the turf..N Pride looking gd going into the breeders cup
50/1 for the Arc and 7/1 for breeders cup turf for Nations Pride. I thought the bookies would have been more 20/1 and 4/1 tbh.
@@Dwayndibb Is he still in the Arc? I think he's been taken out a few weeks back judging by the racing post app.

He would hate soft ground

@@nightowl7459 I look after him, he defo wants fast ground to be his brilliant best . Typical of most by the sire , Teofilo
