- Civ 6 - Julius Caesar gone wild (with cities) - #2 Civilization 6 Deity Rome
Rome has always been a strong Civ, but with Julius Caesar, and a city setup like this - it's even better. Playing on a standard size pangaea map, deity difficulty, no extra game modes. UI mods only.

#marbozir #civ6 - Hry
It is really funny how many times you have changed your mind in this play through. 😆
The hunt for Venetian Arsenal at 1:35 is hilarious!
As humorous as the same hunt in the previous episode.
Why is it? The icons are really small and Marbz has to search thru them while keeping the commentary running, give the man some credit :)
hype for 2023 civ!
Whenever Marbs starts cityplanning, I fast forward like mad
Having aggressive marauding bands of barbarians threatening your empire when you're playing as Rome is historically appropriate.
"I'm the one that's meant to be crossing rivers!" Love it!
George Washington disagrees.
this game is looking really good!
Yeah, AI handling of wars and fighting is generally poor, but city placement is absolutely abysmal. Sure, I guess they were desperate for iron, but to place it there, zero water for housing, between 2 of your core cities is just so so bad. And what do they produce first? Machu Picchu.
I think that settle was mainly for the wonder. I’ve seen the AI do long walks away from their territory to claim a wonder spot
Generally a scout will always run away and not attack unless:
1. Has nowhere else to go
2. The Barbarian Camp it spawned from got destroyed. In this case the scout will attack and capture.
Stone Circles would have given you a lot of faith from all the quarries, but food and production are more important than faith overall
CZcams algorythm denounced, as is tradition Marbs !
Perfect thumbnail
thanks Marbs!
Hey Marbozir, is there a specific reason you don't plant districts asap? Since their cost increased for each tech+civic it would make sense to instantly start to build one in new cities/once cities grow (don't have to work on them though). Is it because you see that as exploit, are not sure about the district order or different reasons?
I suspect it's because he can't make up his mind where to put them!
Smash that like button brethren!!!
that thumbnail and title 😭😭
From what I've seen, City State borders do not expand 3-out if there is at least a single tile 2-out that is unclaimed, even if it's snow, iceberg, whatever.
Yeah, barbarian scouts rarely grab civilian units, unless their camp is destroyed, then they get very aggressive.
The AI has a massive hard-on for Machu Picchu, would be nice, but I'd give single digit percentage chances of you getting that one, sorry.
Good one,
Amazing run ! I When turn 100 looks like turn 150 😲
barb scouts will become hostile to civilian units when their home camp gets pillaged/destroyed
I know you don't usually conquer city states, but Bologna looks like a good candidate for Petra.
Thanks for playing Roma, and I really think no mod at all makes it more interesting. Now if only you can conquer the world...
A może by tak partyjka w CIV 1 by wspomnieć stare czasy falang niszczących pancerniki? ;)
Always nice to see new series on civ, glad u kicked the barbarian asses so "romelike"
Hi Marbs, why the focus on the Venetian Arsenal on a Pangea map?
Does anyone happen to know the best way to get a list of the mods that he is running?
For the algorithm
I would get the +4 campus in addition to Machu Pichu instead of just a +3.
he ignored the +4 one with a potential +5 if he put more district beside it
Alea iacta est.
