This is why Deion leaving JSU was inevitable, because as well as he coached there, he wouldn't have been truly validated as a coach until he went to a power 5.
True. It's because HBCU are underfunded. There's a lot of talented men in HBCU schools but they don't get drafted because they didn't go to a big named school. What Deon wanted was for Jackson to truly invest in the program so that it could change the culture of where kids could be drafted. If you could attend any HBCU and have a chance to make it to the league at the same chances of going to a bigger school, why not attend an HBCU? with people that look more like you. But alas, he had to leave because of it being underfunded. But now he's still going to do what he set out to do, just on a bigger scale. Shoutout to Colorado for giving this man the keys to do what he knew he could for these talented kids. It's going to pay dividens for Colorado for sure.

Was in attendance. They didn’t even introduce the Buffs to the field.. no band. No cheerleaders.. just us fans sprinkled about. Amazing to see this win. Go Buffs!! The hype after the game was epic
People tend to forget Sheduer and Travis Hunter were 4 and 5 star recruits. They only went to a HBCU to follow Deion.

This ain’t street ball where you just say go deep. There are plays to learn on offense and defense. You have to be in the right place and learn the plays on both sides of the ball. Travis Hunter’s intellect to do both is special
Coach Prime is an amazing coach! He’s teaching these kids how to carry yourself, on and off the field. Living in Colorado, I have the luxury of seeing so much of what he does, that you don’t see. He has really taken to Colorado and made it his state. Just watching him interact with the 90 year old woman who’s a super fam is just amazing! He escorts her around and treats her like a parental figure, and treats her like Colorado royalty. He really has embraced the community in a way I’ve never seen in any sport!

Using the transfer portal Prime made a roster with the best players and got them into shape and condition to compete dominate and win. Coach Prime knows how work the system to get things done he got the players understanding the playbook had hard practices and lots of weight lifting and running in the offseason. Deion Sanders showed he knows how to coach with a great performance vs TCU. Talking about the team from last year is irrelevant considering pretty much all new players new coaching staff and a change in philosophy and leadership.

school with it at the same time. People are too distracted with his pressers to note his intrinsic value as a Coach.

What these coaches “good ole boyz” in college and these media personalities don’t get is the fact that prime has the connect to the hood and youth. The hood builds strength, confidence, and resolve. There’s so much talent there! He’s relatable to the young generation. You have to be able to tap into that pool to get the best out of them. You have to be able to relate to the hood culture/hip hop culture to a degree. Plus, he’s a psycho when it comes to the little details. When you think he’s partying, he’s watching you, observing you, studying you. Prime is a different breed. Some of these folks are just learning that. They haven’t seen nothing yet.

Shady said something that I guess I never thought about Travis had to know both the offense and defense well enough to know both because he starts on both sides 🤯🤯🤯. The thought of that is crazy. I guess I just wonder how they will handle him over the course of the season with all bumps and bruises that come with football over the course of weeks and weeks of that kind of wear and tear. Wow. I can't believe how overboard everyone is going about this game. Yes Deion is a great football coach and his son put on a show. Congratulations to them and Colorado. But hold on everyone. The hype is a little too high and is not fair to Colorado right now. It is putting a lot of pressure on Colorado to be great every game and they are not going to be. They have a tough schedule and there are probably 5 or 6 teams in the Pac 12 that are better than TCU. So let them play and just watch how far they can go in their first season but don't immediately put unrealistic expectations on them based on 1 game and set them up to be disappointing after all the praise they are getting after 1 game. I am just being realistic and don't think they deserve the pressure all this praise is going to put them. And when they lose a game.........

I’m happy for CU but let them play a few more games before bandwagoning and crowning them as a top team. Giving up 40+ points definitely needs to be fixed if CU will be successful. I’m glad for Prime and Colorado. He seems like a true leader of men who loves his players. I think that people underestimated him, but I also think though that it’s one game against a TCU in full rebuild mode. Have to see more before we start building a statue.
Emotions are high in this interview and there’s a awful lot of hype after one win against an overrated team. My question is this, what does it look like by game 6, when the reality of D1 college FB starts to set in, there’s film for opposing coaches to study, injuries start happening, etc.

No, Deion, I do *not* believe...yet. I watched that game your team played, and I saw something very different than what the entire world apparently saw. And this is a point made in a later segment: Your men scored 45. Awesome! They allowed 42. Not good! And to make matters even worse, it's the *way* you allowed 42. More than half of TCU's points came in the 4th quarter! Your defense that was forcing turnovers throughout the game, and keeping TCU on pins and needles suddenly disappeared and you ended the game in a shootout. CU went down on the scoreboard near the end of the third, and the entire defense panicked!
CU didn't win that game. TCU lost it. They lost it on a wide right field goal. If TCU had made that, then CU is ending that game playing for a tie and to get to overtime. The way your defense collapsed, you would not have won an overtime against TCU. Not a blocked field goal. Not even a bothered field goal. It was TCU straight missing it. So, congratulations on the win. Everyone's going to sing your praises and sign the check that you're legitimate. Even I believe that you'll become bowl eligible for the first time in a long time, winning 6-9 games this year. But you are in no position to be braggadocios. You all have work to do.

We all seen the same game you talking about a team of 87 new players. Freshmen n all Oline DLine straight out the transfer portal. Half the team played at HBCU last year. The fact that your judging team like this isn’t the first game with new everything says a lot. Stop hating. Everyone said they would loose now that they won. Excuse excuse excuses. @@MugiwaraLuffy4PK According to Coach Sanders, they were always supposed to win. Apparently, you haven't seen any of the clips that have come out since this "win". With Sanders talking about "Do you believe now?" No, I do not. Sanders is the one talking like he won a bowl game by blowing his opponent out and it's only the first game of the season. But, I repeat, it required a shootout to squeak out a win in a game they were dominating. CU couldn't maintain the defensive dominance. That points to one of two things: 1- Coach Sanders watched TCU adjust to CU's defense and couldn't counter those adjustments, and/or 2- CU's defense completely collapsed and Coach Sanders couldn't get the right scheme set to figure out what to do about it.
Like I said, I expect them to be in a bowl game this year. But Sanders talks like he's already eligible for the Final Four of Football, and he's barely out the gate. CU clearly has defensive issues that need to be fixed, and those issues look a whole lot like they are coaching related.
