New Castle, IN Federal Signal Thunderbolt 1000T 8RPM Aerial View - 11/23/18

Drone video of New Castle's Thunderbolt from a few months ago. Siren is located downtown atop a building at the intersection of Church and 12th streets. Sirens in Henry County are tested every Friday at noon.

It appears that the sheer power of this siren's sound affects the camera every time the horn points at it. Look closely and you can see a slight shift in the image nearly every time. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since when I went out to see a thunderbolt in action, it caused the ground under my feet to vibrate every time the horn pointed at me.

Fun little tidbit: this unit, along with all the other ex-NC thunderbolts in the area, was originally installed in 1975.

Ours in Dekalb co were installed around that time too. I guess the Super outbreak of 1974 scared the officials enough to order them...

There’s a place near me called Germantown, in WI. They test for a full three minutes on Saturdays at noon

Godzina "W" w Siedlcach ( woj. mazowieckie) syreny alarmowe 1.08.2020 - CZcams in my city in Siedlce (Poland) there is also a very similar sound of sirens, but they are electronic and I wonder what model it is
