The season ending does show flashes that he left simply to unite with Kim Da-Eun, and if he’s out, no, he is not going back to Miyagi Fang (if you want to ruin a series ending, and a character, that’s how you do it. But then again Kreese probably should’ve never been escaping, and probably should’ve just died).

For those in the comments who complain that her character is irrelevant to the plot I respectfully disagree. Let’s not forget that Silver brought her in cuz Chozen took out his other potential candidates to be his partner for Cobra Kai.
There’s also the fact that her family’s karate lineage practically gave birth to Cobra Kai, so having her on the show & disciplining the new students would make more sense in this season’s plot not to mention that her ruthless brutality furthered the “No Mercy” memo the dojo lives by. Plus, though I don’t like her vicious attitude, I kinda admire her on her principles mainly that she strives to bring her grandfather’s teachings to the world & not for profit. And it’s that determination that might be pushed further if her character returns for season 6 & if she’s able to take Cobra Kai from silver now that he’s in prison.
Plus that scene where she mercilessly made Tory brake the stone dummy till her hand brakes shows that “extreme measures” stance that Silver & Cobra Kai lives by.😹

Here is my prediction on her character:
I think she will appear again in Cobra Kai Season 6 but as the main antagonist. Also, remember she once said to the Cobra Kai students in America, " you would not last one minute against my Cobra Kai students in South Korea." In other words, her South Korean Cobra Kai students would be at least as tough as the best American Cobra Kai students or even tougher (at least as tough as Karate Kid 3 Mike Barnes). I think their will be a tournament in Cobra Kai Season 6 and we will see how strong her South Korean Cobra Kai students are. Also, if you think John Kreese and Terry Silver were evil and cruel, wait until you get a load of Kim Da-Eun. She might be on another level of being sinister and she might now surpass both John Kreese and Terry Silver in terms of fighting ability. I bet even Daniel LaRusso, Chozen, Johnny Lawrence and Mike Barnes would struggle with her. I hope Cobra Kai gets renewed for Season 6 and I hope we see more of Kim Da-Eun.

Darth Dae-Eun, Dark Lady of the Sith. Kim wanted to carry on the family legacy of Cobra-Kai and help spread the style around the globe. Her training methods are brutal showing no mercy. Kim don't take betrayal lightly and looks for some sort of quick punishment, though Kreese just lets them walk away calling them too weak to be Cobra-kai material. The aftermath of the All-Valley screwjob, Terry and Kim tried to push Tory as the top student of the dojo, yet overtime Tory just opened her eyes of the corruption and wants out, so Kim turned to Devon Lee as the next top student. Quite frankly, others in the dojo who have seniority than Devon, it could've been Kyler, Kenny or the black guy with the braids who is the best background character and has been in Cobra-kai since season 1 could've got the top spot. However, she picked Devon Lee because one thing in commonality is that both of them are Asian descent, and I guess that Devon reminds Kim, herself a lot of her younger self; having the qualities of being tenacious, having ferocity and determination to be the best, and she wants to be a surrogate mother or a big sister to Devon with tough love.
We don't know so much of Kim Dae-Eun, we know who her grandfather was, but who was her parents? Did or mother and or father trained in Tang-soo do? Were they killed? I was thinking during the Korean War that her parents were killed, but the time line wouldn't be too accurate, since the Korean War happened in the 1950's and I think that Kim was born c.1970's at the tale end of the Vietnam War. Maybe her parents died of a disease outbreak in Korea and her grandfather raised her.

I loved Kim Da-Eun from the start. She is evil and not apologizing for it, and in the first few minutes of talking to Silver you could see she has a sassy part to her personality. And it's in a good way. I am sure she will take control on CK and might even change the name for "Kim Karate" or in a racist joke I made KKK "Kim Kai Karate" because Terry Silver owns the CK name and company. So maybe after seeing the way he managed his rivalry and she of course didn't like that, she probably wouldn't want anything to do with him and will try to fix the reputation. Sure she is worse than Terry and I think she might be just as criminal. However there are no proofs to link her into crimes, so she is the perfect women for the job of owning the Dojo. I would pay money to see Julie Pierce vs. Kim Da-Eun and if we get that match it will be legendary. But also I wouldn't mind to see Chozen Toguchi vs. Kim Da-Eun might also be an epic fight. And Julie Pierce don't need to be a Sensei in Miyagi-Fang because they have enough Senseis already. They have Chozen Toguchi, Johnny Lawrence and Daniel Lapusso. Is that not enough? And arguably after Mike is now a friend of Daniel and the others, he might join from a time to time giving lessons from his perspective to the students. Julie might be a substitute teacher in case Chozen need to go back to Okinawa. I can even see a situation in which he calls upon his finest students from Okinawa to come and help in the tournament.

I think Kim Da-Eun is probably the main villain of Season 6. There’s no way she can’t be.
The question is, what is Cobra Kai going to be like? There is a possibility she can’t do anything about Kreese and he gets locked back up anyway + if there’s a time to put the Karate Kid CK behind, it’s now.
Kreese and Kim Da-Eun teaming up is the most likely scenario, with Kreese taking a side main antagonist role, but if that’s not the case, it would make sense for her to try to lead the Dojo on her own. Her main enemy is probably Julie Pierce, who becomes the 4th Sensei (5 sounds like too many unless you want the Fist running CK alongside Kreese and Kim).
Cobra Kai is probably going to be a bunch of recruited kids from Korea and Kenny, as most of the other characters would probably join Miyagi Fang.
And about Kreese, he is definitely a side character. Everyone hates him, but he is no longer the man, and has no true main enemy. I do believe the theory Silver was dying throughout S5 and even if he wasn’t, if you let him go on, you’re clinging too hard to nostalgia if you keep him a main character, especially after you got him arrested. Oh yeah, and he is not leaving Cobra Kai for Miyagi Fang. You wanna ruin an ending by going too Hollywood and not align with the previous season? Just have Kreese join Miyagi Fang.
Season 6 also does seem like the final season for not the series, but this part of Karate history. I do think the Pandemic will still be in the series and shut down Karate enough to take out some of the OG main characters, but I do think the 2022 AV will have Kenny, probably some other kids from the Valley who are introduced, and Sensei Kim on her own as Kreese is old af as a potential underdog if they lose the SKTK.

She's gonna seduce Kreese into creating a new CK dojo with the inmates that Kreese befriended and is going to transform CK into pretty much a criminal organization. I mean it was practically a juvenile criminal organization when Kreese owned it, and Kreese wasn't nearly as psychotic as CK's originators either.
Even worse, she's gonna use the fact that she's a chick to make herself even more untouchable. Like I could see her mixing it up with Dan sometime in season 6 and being like "didn't Miyagi tell you never to hit a lady?" or something along those lines.

    Great video spotlighting Kim Da-EunđŸ”„
To me, Kim is far from being a compelling, 3-D character, for at the moment, she is a caricature of extreme (dare I say, cartoonish) villainy.
It is expected though, for the creators had only introduced the Kim character in this recent season.
The other issue was that most of Kim's interactions in Season 5 were with Terry Silver and his deliciously evil, scene-chewing self. Kim had no chance to set her character apart (other than being more sadistic) when paired with the ultimate villain of the franchise.
Moreover, I do not consider Kim to be "Big Bad" material and/or totally evil, for she has (subtly) shown signs of having an honor code.
The creators have written a character that has the potential to be good with a decent foundation, that being Kim's main desire/motivation to have her Grandfather's martial art and the family name respected, acclaimed, and recognized by international martial arts circles.
This can be accomplished in Season 6 through her interactions with Kreese, who is also undergoing a personal transformation in both mindset and philosophy (albeit, on the run from authorities whilst maintaining his hard edge).
In the Season 5 flashback, it showed that Kim as a child was quite fond of Kreese (which can make more for an interesting/compelling older brother-little sister dynamic as opposed to evil, right-hand henchwoman that Kim was to Silver).
If my assumptions prove correct, the Kim-Kreese pairing would allow the creators to layer in the emotional and complex facets easier into the character makeup of The Granddaughter of Tang Soo Do, as well as complete the transformation of Kreese.
As I put it in my hypothetical Season 6 arc, my hope is that after the tournament, a mellower Kreese would accompany Kim back to Korea, where they would devote their lives (and, for Kreese's sake, avoid jail time in the US) to restore honor and pride in Tang Soo Do and Kim Sun-Yung's legacy, under the name "The Way of The Fist."
Lastly, I hope Kreese/Kim and Chozen would find reconciliation for past issues/grudges between dojos on behalf of Kim Sun-Yung and Sato.
In regards to Julie Pierce (Hilary Swank), I am all for the character making her debut appearance on "Cobra Kai" but I am not behind the idea of her having a one-on-one against Kim.
I feel Julie would be best utilized in Season 6 as a guest sensei/ symbol for Miyagi-Fang, helping Sam, Devon, and (especially) Tori find honor, discipline, as well as inner balance, strength, and peace in mind, body, and soul, which would be a complete dichotomy from Kim's Season 5/6 teachings of having no honor, maintaining brutality, and not having mercy

STRYFE THE WARRIOR: I always love your character analysis videos; you do such a great job & get the characters down perfectly. I do believe that a team up between Sensei Kim and Kreese is definitely a possibility because it's as you said as well as being shown in the show that she's much closer with Kreese than she is with Silver. Though I don't know how long that team up will last given that Kreese is also Close with Tory and is likely not going to like what Sensei Kim did to Tory when he finds out. This intern may cause Kreese to turn against Sensei Kim. I love the idea of exploring Sensei Kim's personality full fold because she doesn't just seem crueler than any Cobra Kai Sensei that we've seen so far, but going by her comments to Tory and Devon in regards to fighting Sam and during the fight at the Dojo in the Finale she seems like she would have absolutely no problem by truly finishing off the opponent by any means that she deems necessary (even killing them) whether they are adult or even child. With her presence on the show bringing Julie into the fold seems a lot more likely given the turn that the show is taking in bringing in more female fighters. It's more likely that Sensei Kim will keep cobra kai open (discreetly) by bringing in her students from her Dojo to compete in Seiki Taiki Tournament as Silver did say that she was his partner, and he was giving her 50% of the cobra kai dojo's (even if she didn't care for it at the time and only cared about spreading her family's karate to the world)

What's funny about her is that she uses Taekwondo terms when she's supposed to be teaching Karate. Karate and Taekwondo are two very different sports. In Taekwondo, you're taught to bow with your head down. If you bow with your eyes up it means you don't trust the person you're bowing too. This is the same in traditional Karate and Japanese culture in general. For the show Miyagi said "always look eye" and that's just been the practise in the show.
    She says Dojang too.

Regarding the "look eye" aspect, I guess it depends on what culture you where brought up by. As a Greek fellow I get the look eye thing. We even have a phrase about looking someone in the eyes; it means that you are being honest to them. As for the "dojang", she just uses the Korean terms, which is the right thing to do imo.

This season was for establishing who she was and what she's about while wrapping up the feud with Terry Silver, and I think next season will deal primarily with the larger legacies of The Way of the Fist and Miyagi-Do. She's not to be underestimated by any means. She could be the most dangerous Sensai when it comes to The Way of the Fist. Due to the fact that it's in her DNA. She can also enter her own dojo from back home. The only thing that bothers me is that if her students are so great and better than the American Students way of the fist AKA Cobra Kai. Money or no money or connections their skills alone should be worth entry into the greatest Karate Tournament in the World. Those were her own words to Tory and Devon Lee. With that said she should've brought her 2 top students 1male and 1 female to America to help Cobra Kai really understand the style of karate they're being taught. But instead Silver wanted the top Sensai's she had to offer. I remember what Mr.Miyagi once said it's not the quantity,it's the quality. Remember someone else always knows more. Silver was just too confident that having so many dojos was going to impress Kim. She said the same thing Miyagi told Daniel in the first movie. He thought that he was going to buy his way to the top. Hopefully now because of Silver buying referees that the committee's of all the future tournaments will now take an extreme measure to keep all referees a mystery and have 0 affiliation with not only dojos but also the region. That way nothing like that would happen again. Julie could be the only one who can defeat Kim assuming that she has still been keeping up with her training.

  • @michaell874

I am guessing that Kim Da-Eun is going to have to wage a bet with Johnny and/ or Kreese for control over Cobra Kai, making the Seikei Teikei the tournament to which the winner will win it. My guess is that Chozen will be mentioned often, but may not be around much until the last few episodes when he surprises everyone with his appearance at the tournament, where he is accompanied by Kumiko. This means that Kreese’s understanding may be required to help Johnny and Daniel win the tournament, but my guess is that Silver will also make a surprised appearance at the tournament after he posts bail and leaves the country. I would love to see Julie Pierce come back as a villain, but consistent with the show thus far, she will probably have had a past encounter with someone, whether it be Mike Barnes or Tory or someone else. Who knows? At the end, Cobra Kai must die in order to reverse its slogan, and as much as I don’t think anyone should be killed off, maybe some old feuds will get out to rest in one way or another. I do hope Daniel appreciates all that Chozen, Mike Barnes and Johnny had done for him in Series 5, and this is shown in the series finale.

Kreese can't remain in the US safely while he's an escaped fugitive. Kim will smuggle Kreese out of the country. As to where exactly? Dunno, but he'll eventually end up in whichever country the global tournament is being held (Japan, I assume, but it could be elsewhere I suppose). At any rate, Kreese will turn up there and try to ensure that Johnny can't "erase every mark" he's made... by attempting to kill Daniel. And that's where we'll finally see the technique on that scroll Chozen gave to Daniel being used. The technique that Daniel once described to Anthony as a technique that he hopes "none of us will ever have to use."

Silver will likely go free, he is a master manipulator, wealthy and knows how things work. Miyagi-Fang invaded his home and dojo, he will definitely spin that to his favour.
Kreese will likely go to Kim Da-Eun and team up but it will not last long because his redemption moment seems to be close due to Johnny. Especially since Silver and the other villains practice the no mercy ideology that Kreese seems a bit hesitant to follow blindly now.
In regard to the younger generation, it is hard to say, their arcs are so completed enough that if season 6 truly is the final season, they need to focus more on Kenny, Anthony, Kyler, Devon Hawk and Dmitry. But maybe it is all about friendly rivalry and whoever Cobra Kai sends to the tournament. I just hope they do not ignite LaRusso/Lawrence and Miguel/Robbie enemy dynamic again, their stories are done in that regard.

One has to understand that this is how Kim was trained. It's not a matter of her being a major bitch, this is what she knows. In her school, they were trained to fight to survive. Just as they were in Sato's or Chozen's dojo. Miagi-do uses a different approach to incapacitate the enemy using pressure points, rendering him unable to fight, while Tang Soo Do teaches to kill the enemy will make him/her unable to continue the fight. Weakness or a show of respect is a prime opportunity to kill the opponent and survive to fight another day. Either discipline is effective. In the martial arts world, there is not a question of which style is better than the others. The winner is simply the one that did not make mistakes that were taken advantage of. I understand that this is entertainment, but any martial artist worth his weight would know this.
