    i have tried to create his but once I leave frame one the artwork disappears until the final frame. When I scrub in between the first and final frame the artwork does not show. All of the shape hints are yellow and green. Please help!

    I need a help with this smoke effect. How can I make the smoke dissapear on the top. I am making an animation, where there are little houses giving smoke from the chimneys and I want the smoke slowly dissapear at the end...
    Your tutorial is amazing and very helpfull... Thank you very much :)
    ...
    And I just realized another difficulty. If I change the size of the smoke, the shape hint points doesn't move, so the effect is lost... So, my questions is, this way of effect, should we only do it in right size how it should be in the animation, or is there a way to dublicate it, or change size?
    Thanks one more time...

    This was a good tutorial up until the shape hints. I really don’t understand what these colours mean, how and why they change colour or why you’re placing them where you are.

      this is really outdated but essentially you place your cursor at the start and use them as keyframes

      Hi, im a beginner here but i've watched a few tutorials and i hope that this will help :) Ctrl shift H to create shape hints. Basically what shape hints does is to guide a point to another point. When u create a shape hint it will initially appear as red color because u havent attach it to any point. You start by creating shape point at the first keyframe then adjust the shape hint to desired point. Next, u go to the next keyframe and adjust the red point to where u want the previous point to go to. By doing so, your first shape hint in previous keyframe will turn yellow and shape hint in 2nd keyframe will turn green. This indicates that the points are linked.

      @tzeearn Před 3 lety

      And all the points are labelled alphabetically. First point u created is a, then b, c, d... The letters are too small to be seen in this tutorial that's why it looks confusing.

    i think for adobe animate 2018 it's ALT instead of CNTRL

    I followed you step by step but my animation isn't playing. Oh boy! These programs give me a headache sometimes. Once I leave frame one the artwork disappears until the final frame. And even there nothing has moved, dispite the shape hints. It's just the same in frame one as it is in frame 40.

      Check to make sure that your shape hints are green on frame one. If they are red, that means they are not registering to one another. It helps to have snapping on so right click on the stage and turn on snapping to ensure they are attached right to the edge.

    great tutorial. my only question is do you know the keyboard shortcut equivalent to the "CNTRL" key when changing the shape of the object in Mac? I cannot find anything.
