      actuly I think it sota is. if you pull every item out of the container you could count them one by one on a presure plate with like a hopper minecart. also afterwords you could put the items back

      If giant containers were made they could have special "terminals" on the sides which output their comparator signal strength to defer the problem onto them (yay).

      @@CraftyMasterman how not , you can place blocks inside container trough them goes redstone using repeaters , then you can turn in digital values using coder and then digital to analog , obiosly it wont have same space like chests or other but it should work

    It's pretty cool how much the inside actually looks like the inside of an IC. Seriously, go look up the dye shot of an early 6502 or Intel 8080 or something.

    Just torch into torch, and to lock it you just make a super simple "memory"

    So that's how a comparator looks inside! This man's just discovered that the comparator has microtechnology!
    Now create a repeater without using comparators or repeaters to explain how the repeater works without making a paradox that a repeater needs a repeater inside to function or that the repeater needs a comparator which has repeaters which have comparators...

    I learned a lot. I love how simple the subtraction circuit is.
    I would think the design would have been better if it didn't have that one output redstone dust stuck inside the structure, but other than that, this is awesome.

    comparators are like the transistors of MC. (The similarity is striking tho. You use it to do more advanced circuitry, you need them for logic gates... etc.)

      @@nicolefischer1504 Because all of the comparator functions work on redstone signal strength you can can use one comparator instead of building a 4 bit subtractor or magnitude comparator (without A = B) so in those cases comparators can cut down on a lot of gates. Comparators can also be really useful for making compact logic gates

    3:13 I remember making a similar circuit, but it used XOR gates to detect where the boundary between the powered and unpowered redstone was. (The point at which the signal strength ends would be the only point where there would be a powered and unpowered signal directly next to each other). I had no idea what the circuit was called nor how to build a better one.

    the new SethBling of the years of 2020-2030 (if u don't know SethBling was a minecrafter in 2011 through 2014 who had a a whole series about making giant minecraft blocks exactly like this that also work) i hope this guy keeps on making these, "SethBling" was a really cool minecraft creater/redstoner/coder the things he did at the time were insane for the capability's of redstone back then its really cool seeing someone taking a kinda inspiration of him

    In a coding/mathematical sense, here’s the formula for the functions of a redstone comparator:
    - Compare
    output = rear × [left ≤ rear AND right ≤ rear]
    - Subtraction mode:
    output = max(rear − max(left, right), 0)

    Computers use comparators a lot, and I’m pretty sure it’s possible to make this with only Redstone dust and Redstone torches, so now there should build entire computer made out of only redstone dust and Redstone torches
