The original Sylvian/Sakamoto versions were hauntingly beautiful. This one is equally as beautiful but has a much more hopeful tone.

Been in love with this masterpiece for like 40 years, this rendition is so sensitive, with some very original colors, it is like an impressionist painting, The sax sopramo is played a bit like a clarinette and sometimes a flute ad iot give to the piece a sense a peace and beauty, some people like these musicians and master sakamoto make the world liveable.

There's something about how Sakamoto play the piano in this piece that no one can match till today. His delay and soft touch is simply irreplicable.

I think I know what anime you're thinking. This piece sounds almost like One Summer's Day by Joe Hisaishi. Actually, Ryuichi Sakamoto's works has been an inspiration for most other music composers, and one of them is Joe Hisaishi. WOW starting at 2:36. Way to do justice to this song
The only thing that's ever bothered me about Forbidden Colours is at times I've felt it to be missing something. What you've done here Jess is not only giving hope to soprano sax players, but also you've added an enriching extra layer of humanity into the composition, only adding on to the brilliance of the original without taking anything away, you have filled in that missing piece and now I think I might be a little in love with you for it.
