This video has been getting a lot of attention recently (probably because everyone is playing Elden Ring again right now... which I'm super hyped about!), and I just wanted to pop in here and clarify a couple things: 1) Thanks for watching! This video is pretty old, and it definitely could have been made better, but I appreciate you watching it anyway. :) With this game being very new at the time, I didn't yet know some of the important things you needed to do (like beating Godrick and talking to 2 Fingers) before talking to Mr. Maidenless dude. That's my bad! Sorry for the confusion. 2) I originally made this video because I kept seeing other gamers rune farming, and I couldn't find any tutorial vidoes on how to get there! This video was made with the intent to help any players who may, for whatever reason, want to rune farm (I personally like to use it to get runes for buying smithing stones). No judgement here... P.S. Coincidentally...this MIGHT be the first video ever posted that actually attempts to show players how to get to this location. If it is... congratz! You found the OG ;)

If you got there low leveled it's actually more efficient shoot the bird across the gap in the same location it gives 11k runes and takes about 5 seconds

New development: rush the tower and kill the jerks responsible 4 frenzy rats 1 giant frenzy rat at bottom. Flame of frenzy in the chest (middle). And frenzied nobles (about 6 or so) at the top causing madness

This farm is really good with the sword you get from the final boss of the game. The weapon art launches a huge wave that will go down the entire hill and kill basically everything. I farmed about 10,000,000 runes in maybe an hour
also if you go to an area thats called the 4 belfries, you can get a maidens blood that way too. basically, youll run all the way up to where the grace is, theres a chest with a key you need, then you go down to a similar looking structure that has a portal in it (activate it using that key you got), and then go through it. youll fight the boss from the very beginning of the game, and then head back up to the chapel where the game started. theres a maiden there, and it’s also way easier to do!
Once you’ve beaten the final boss this method gets even better. One of the weapons you can make with the final boss remembrance is perfect for this place.
For anyone wondering the bird method still works while you stand next to the sight of grace, I literally did it yesterday for only like 20 minutes but it definitely works

There's another maiden you can get to, she's in the very beginning of the game, in Liurnia on the left side of the lake up a hill, a Grace called "The Four Belfries" at the very top I think you can find the Imbued Sword Key inside a chest, (facing up hill) go to your right, there should a tower with a portal, use the key there and it should take you to the tutorial boss and get your revenge, after defeating the boss, cross the 2nd bridge and it leads back to the very beginning and you'll find a dead maiden inside the church to your left, but before entering the building, to your right is a door that leads to the roof, you'll find the summons Stormhawk Deenh and Winged Misbegotten Ashes
If your low level, Go to Fort Faroth and kill the huge sleeping dragon for 80,000 runes...then go north at night and find the knight Calvary on the smaller bridge there...just keep running up the hill to the right...and don't stop...hell die from the poison damage for another 40,000 takes 10 minutes and you get the ash of war called (Bloodhound Step) its nasty
@@MrHatch530 go around the back of him with any bleed weapon. Dodge literally everything and find a spot on the dragons leg or tail and use bleed to down him it'll also kill all the little dragons on his front and give you 5 dragon hearts. *Edit* You can also use the gold scarab and a gold bird foot item to boost gains from the kills. The foot buff only lasts 3 minutes so use it right before you do the final blow.
If an enemy falls of a cliff for example, you have a chance of not getting the runes. Stay close to the edge to make sure u get those runes. Items dropped are recieved regardless. Tried and tested.
The sacred relic sword is by far the best weapon for this farm. I get over/around 40k every 12 seconds with the rune buffs. The weapon does a wave of light that insta kills all of them in one hit
@@jormrework212 yes lol but if you start your second journey that place is still good so its like a end game thing or you can finish the story pretty quick if you just focus on the main quest
That's very end game. While following Varre's quest can literally be done without beating any major bosses. When you invade, just use the knife to return to your world and it'll still count.
Yeah I was trying to figure out how to do this offline, since I haven't bothered with Xbox Live in over a decade, lol. I just beat Radhan, and still haven't gone much further than the capitol where you fight the 2 Tree Sentinels.
(Super late) if your playing offline you can use the volcano manor quest line invasions too get these 3 invasions for the white mask. It's all good if you lose the invasions too, simply invading is good enough to progress
Something to notice is that by doing the white mask quest line, your character’s eyes will turn red permanently. Go to the portal at the land of the giants, if you care about your character’s appearance.
You can undo the red eyes by going to the appearance mirror near Fia at Roundtable Hold. Click on Face → Eyes → Turn “eye modification” off (I think that’s what it’s called). It will then reactivate your own custom eye color settings. Easy peazy 😃 Lmk if u have any issues doing it
The final boss’s sword is by far the best and easiest way so long as you have good faith. One slash kills all of them and at NG+3 I get a million runes in about 3 minutes.
Btw, late game this farm can give you up to 50 mil an hour on ng+7 if you use sacred relic greatsword, gold picked fowl foot, golden scarab and overkill them.
Use a bow and shoot big bird. Its far easier once you find the sweet spot and timing to shoot from. 17k every 12-15 seconds with gold scarab+gold finger.
Tbh the best way to do this farm spot is to beat the game first and then go back with a certain sword to wipe em out quick. At a low level just shoot the bird. Doing it on NG+ is more effective also. Have golden scarab talisman equipped.
Good way to increase your farming ability further is to get your hands on the golden scarab talisman and the golden pickled fowl's foot. Both will have immensely with rune farming capabilities, though it might be a bit of a challenge to get the golden scarab, as it requires you to beat a dual-boss fight to retrieve it
Best way to start if you just want to make a build and kill/get only the stuff you need: 1. Make character, get bleed weapon if you don't start with one 2. Take the portal to Bestial Sanctum from Church of Marika near Mistwood 3. Go to Fort Faroth, get medallion and Radagon Soreseal 4. Kill Greyoll the big dragon at the fort with your bleed weapon, it takes 2 minutes at most 5. Level up to about 30 6. Get your chosen early-mid weapon and visit wiki to find early Somber stones or if it's normal smithing stones: Go to Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel, kill Crystalian boss (very easy even with low level, once you hit him enough his armor breaks) for Smithing Bell Bearing +1 +2 7. Go to Fort Haight in Mistwood, get the other half of the medallion 8. Run past big dragon in Liurnia and just loot Academy key 9. Enter Academy, then exit through the right side with the key for the path to Altus 10. After Altus, run to capital outskirts and go to sealed tunnel, loot the chest for bell bearing +3 +4 11. Upgrade and rush Margit and Godrick easily 12. Finish Varre questline to get to bird farm and farm as much levels as you want 13. Use chest in Dragon ruins near The first step grace to teleport to Sellia and collect some smithing stone 5s, can also farm them from miners in Sealed Tunnel after 14. Upgrade and then destroy Rennala and Radahn (Radahn Festival gets activated when you go to Altus) 15. You can go to Leyndell now (technically you only need Godrick and one other rune, but I like to fight both Rennala and Radahn earlier) 16. Kill Godfrey Shade and Morgott, get Mountaintops medallion 17. Go to mountaintops, loot Zamor ruins chest for bell bearing +5 +6 18. Now that you have access to everything, do as you please to prepare for Fire Giant and then Crumbling Farum Azula, where lategame items and bell bearings are. Just make sure you get what you want from Leyndell before you use the forge of giants, as it transforms and some items become unavailable
If you can remember, any location where you can get the silver/gold fire flies make sure you mark it on your map with a simple marker to remember so you can farm them. For 4 toed fowl foots, best spot for me consistently has been the beach over by the first step SoG, i believe murkwater cave is the next closest SoG but it’s a cave from Boc’s quest line and there’s a merchant in that area and invisible scarab on the other side of the beach , there’s plenty of eagles and penguins there to farm there. That’s a great farming location and for runes my go to is still the dragon over Fort Heighs or whatever it is on Caelid. Dual katana, get some bleed and frostbite going and pop a gold foot right before the finishing blows (hop on torrent before killing it so you can rush back to the SoG, the dragon always flinches when killed so you know when to start running. Long as you reach the SoG before he dies then you can keep doing it. If you end up with dragon hearts then you messed up )
Regarding the church, there's a tower blocking the way that inflicts madness damage when it can see you. You get about 2 seconds where the spell isn't active, to mad dash to the next bit of cover. Be wary of rats. You can likely run past when you make it up the cliff, but if you want to deactivate the tower, you have to reach it. Then kill several rats that also inflict madness, climb the tower and kill the 6 enemies who are casting the spell. I recommend one shotting or they will also hit you with madness spells. Then you run through an entire mad village, only to be invaded at the actual church. If you touch the grace in the church before the invader can reach you, it won't respawn immediately if you die, since it activates in front of the church. You can then soak your cloth and fast travel away. Good luck, and maybe you'll see my message at the top of the tower.
He forgot to mention that there is a bird off the other side of the cliff where you can shoot it with an arrow, and it will fall off for a whopping 11k+ runes. You can increase this by equipping the golden scarab and eating a golden chicken foot. These will stack and give you an additional 6k+ runes. Use the grave to reset the bird. Rinse and repeat.
@@itsSloMo besides replay value i mean when you get to newgame 3-4+ your gonna wanna be a high level and beyond that but really just to try different builds and upgrade different weapons
@@itsSloMo I want to actually use different things and not stay at so e limited build, I've always leveled up quite high in any souls game. Usually helping new players, or doing challangeing runs with limitations. The thing is I can do whatever I want with high enough stats.
Or climb the mountain by jumping then jump of the map in an area that doesn’t have a kill box and just swing your weapon and just keep doing that you’ll probably get 150k the first time but just keep swinging for another min and it’ll go up to 200k and then around 300k it’s more in new game plus but if u also use those yellow chicken legs and the golden scarp you’ll get more. The average without any items or effects is around 150k tho
Earlier at the mausoleum there’s another farm which gives you 140k at a time - falling through the gap at the top of a cliff by the two giant ghost skeletons. Once you get the tricky jumps nailed you can basically do it every time, takes about 2 - 3 mins each time.
So I "accidentally " killed the guy att the start of the game so I used the absolution thingy but I still can't find him anywhere any tips on how to get there?
The EYE OF SAURON heading up to the Frenzied Village. Tip hide behind objects to avoid Madness build up and as you approach the watch tower where the Fire Eye is located, hug the walls of the base of the tower. Don't fret with the Rats and B-Line towards the ladders, won't get madness build up. Then slaughter the 6-8 petrified priests (I'll go with that) and voila, the EYE of SAURON is vanquished. This makes fighting Lord Vyke a hell of alot easier unless you want the challenge avoiving madness and fighting an aggressive NPC all at the same time.
Tip: you don't actually have to kill the host of fingers when you're invading, you just have to invade 3 times so if you really want to you could just use the thing that returns you to your world or let the host kill you. You'll also want the golden scarab Talisman if you want to make a boat load of runes. There's also a dead maiden in the tutorial area so if you go and find those pillars where you can get the imbued stonesword key, you can go back to that tutorial area, kill that boss, and get the blood lords favor dipped in the blood of a maiden
If your stuck on the madness part or the invasion part. U can run past everything and hurry up and grab the grace at the very top right next to the blood soaked item
Shoot the bird in the other side of the river, and use the radham swords magic in the enemies in your side, you will get at least 50k runes in a run, 70k if you have the golden scarab, this is in the first play, ng+2 you will get around 100k
Another good farming zone is the deeproot depths, killing the gargoyles near the site of grace prince of the death will give you more than 2k runes for each, and there is one gargoyle that can give you 17k runes (don't know if it is a glitch)
@@jamilf9947 lol this is mad old but use the golden scarab talisman and gold pickled fowl foot for more runes. Kill the bird and use the sacred relic sword to kill all the other enemies sitting near the clif.
There's a teleporter in Mountaintop of Giants that takes you to Mohgwyn Palace, if you'd rather not do invading. I'd highly recommend you only start farming runes to this degree when you've done everything else.
It's a little different no with the updates. You can't jump off the edge with no killplane to kill them all. it's been patched. But while it's not early, you can use the sacred relic great sword to kill almost all of them while being super close to the grace.
I was around level 68 and leveled some weopons I don't like anymore and was really stuck in the game and couldn't level or beat most bosses but because of this stradegy that took me about 10 minutes to set up im leveling so much and grinding runes I can finally progress again
I was actually doing this quest line for a different rune farming method, apparently there's a blistering crow right next to a site of grace that you can just keep farming.
Much better after you beat the elden beast and are planning to continue to do ng+ and level up. On ng+2 I was making 1 mil every five minutes using the elden beast’s sword
Here’s my advice. If you’re stuck and need runes, explore. The game makes it so there are plenty of little boss fights that give you enough runes to do the boss
You can also shoot the big bird on the left of the grace for another 10k runes. When you shoot it the bird will come after you and fall into the ravin.
If you messed up you chance to do that guys quest then you’ll be able to get there from the southeast area along the cliffs of the consecrated snow fields. There will be a large bear in the area. Ignore it. Once you get to the spot along the cliff side there will be an invader. If you want you can make him fall off the cliff and the teleporter is unlocked. You’ll be taken almost directly to that site of grace. Book you’re there
go to ordina.. double jump on the right side near potal into abyss...swing the sword, wait to 100.000 - 600.000 runes..ng + decides how much little speedrun is possible
I farmed here early but you should stop while you're ahead after you get some vigor points built up. At journey 3 with 1 golden wave with gold scarab and gold foot you get over 150k each time you rest. Have fun and enjoy the game
I reached level 420 yesterday in ng+10 yesterday. I’ve always used this location but I use wave of gold ash of war from the sword from Elden beast. On average I can get 1.7 mil runes in 3 minutes, same duration as the gold fowl foot or whatever it’s called.
I would say the weapon that worked best for me was radahns sword because you can just pull in like 2 or 3 then easily one hit then and i love it, but seeing as he said for newer players earlier in the game that probably isnt an option, and dont forget to shoot the bird across the way it gives 12,000 per kill
And if you have a bow and not a good enough aoe attack, there's a chicken you can shoot if you're standing in a certain spot and it'll just run off the ledge and give 11k runes per kill. 55k runes if it has glowing eyes.
yeah the blind girl by the bridge of sacrifice also counts if you hit her hard enough while she's still alive and I'd say she's probably easier because you probably already have a Grace next to her and you don't have to deal with vyke
Just go shoot the red bird and farm I think in NG it’s 13k a pop and it takes 10 seconds to reset, NG+4 with golden scarab it’s 31k a pop takes about 400seconds to get a approx. a mil.
You can get free maidens blood by going to the four belfries and look for the one called acceptance or something it will teleport you to the grafted scion boss fight from the beginning
There is a glitch that gives you anywhere between 100k-300k runes every 50 seconds in that area using that same site of grace but expect to die a lot until u get the hang of it.
Like someone has already mentioned, you should just shoot the bird and it'll run off the edge to its death. I farmed 5 million runes in about 45-50 minutes. By far the most effective farming location I know of.
Or you can make about 5 million runes in an hour if you go to the other grace, and use the hole glitch, once you’re falling it takes about 34 swings and with the gold scarab you’ll make over 150k runes. Just takes 1:30 seconds to get there from grace
Soooo if you don't have Internet you need to go to the writhblood runes over by the minor erdtree by the Atlus Platue u wanna get the site of grace by the bridge you have to cross to get to Volcano Castle he can be invaded three times or kill him to also do this questline

@@Luv4flth it can be extremely difficult. I'd highly recommend looking up a video on how to reach the Church of Inhibition if you want to get there.
I use the Sacred Relic sword and just wipe out all of them in 1 attack pretty much

Not a lot of people know this but you can also kill the maiden irina near the bride of sacrifice removing the need to travel so far

If you have radahan's gs up to lvl 8 you can kill nearly everything in 2 uses of the starscourge attack

*Edit* You can also use the gold scarab and a gold bird foot item to boost gains from the kills. The foot buff only lasts 3 minutes so use it right before you do the final blow.

If an enemy falls of a cliff for example, you have a chance of not getting the runes. Stay close to the edge to make sure u get those runes. Items dropped are recieved regardless. Tried and tested.

The sacred relic sword is by far the best weapon for this farm. I get over/around 40k every 12 seconds with the rune buffs. The weapon does a wave of light that insta kills all of them in one hit

(Super late) if your playing offline you can use the volcano manor quest line invasions too get these 3 invasions for the white mask. It's all good if you lose the invasions too, simply invading is good enough to progress
Something to notice is that by doing the white mask quest line, your character’s eyes will turn red permanently. Go to the portal at the land of the giants, if you care about your character’s appearance.
You can undo the red eyes by going to the appearance mirror near Fia at Roundtable Hold. Click on Face → Eyes → Turn “eye modification” off (I think that’s what it’s called). It will then reactivate your own custom eye color settings. Easy peazy 😃

If your in the endgame then use the sacred relic swords ability and get around 25K every time you swing it
The final boss’s sword is by far the best and easiest way so long as you have good faith. One slash kills all of them and at NG+3 I get a million runes in about 3 minutes.

Btw, late game this farm can give you up to 50 mil an hour on ng+7 if you use sacred relic greatsword, gold picked fowl foot, golden scarab and overkill them.
Use a bow and shoot big bird. Its far easier once you find the sweet spot and timing to shoot from. 17k every 12-15 seconds with gold scarab+gold finger.

Tbh the best way to do this farm spot is to beat the game first and then go back with a certain sword to wipe em out quick. At a low level just shoot the bird. Doing it on NG+ is more effective also. Have golden scarab talisman equipped.

Even easier is the bird you can shoot on the lake across from the grace. Just get a decent bow, shoot the bird and repeat.
Good way to increase your farming ability further is to get your hands on the golden scarab talisman and the golden pickled fowl's foot. Both will have immensely with rune farming capabilities, though it might be a bit of a challenge to get the golden scarab, as it requires you to beat a dual-boss fight to retrieve it
Well the golden scarab was somewhat easy once i killed the first one lol kept spamming bloody slash with the nagakiba big boi damage
And if u beaten the elden beast, its best to take the sword from its remembrance
Best way to start if you just want to make a build and kill/get only the stuff you need:
1. Make character, get bleed weapon if you don't start with one
2. Take the portal to Bestial Sanctum from Church of Marika near Mistwood
3. Go to Fort Faroth, get medallion and Radagon Soreseal
4. Kill Greyoll the big dragon at the fort with your bleed weapon, it takes 2 minutes at most
5. Level up to about 30
6. Get your chosen early-mid weapon and visit wiki to find early Somber stones or if it's normal smithing stones:
Go to Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel, kill Crystalian boss (very easy even with low level, once you hit him enough his armor breaks) for Smithing Bell Bearing +1 +2
7. Go to Fort Haight in Mistwood, get the other half of the medallion
8. Run past big dragon in Liurnia and just loot Academy key
9. Enter Academy, then exit through the right side with the key for the path to Altus
10. After Altus, run to capital outskirts and go to sealed tunnel, loot the chest for bell bearing +3 +4
11. Upgrade and rush Margit and Godrick easily
12. Finish Varre questline to get to bird farm and farm as much levels as you want
13. Use chest in Dragon ruins near The first step grace to teleport to Sellia and collect some smithing stone 5s, can also farm them from miners in Sealed Tunnel after
14. Upgrade and then destroy Rennala and Radahn (Radahn Festival gets activated when you go to Altus)
15. You can go to Leyndell now (technically you only need Godrick and one other rune, but I like to fight both Rennala and Radahn earlier)
16. Kill Godfrey Shade and Morgott, get Mountaintops medallion
17. Go to mountaintops, loot Zamor ruins chest for bell bearing +5 +6
18. Now that you have access to everything, do as you please to prepare for Fire Giant and then Crumbling Farum Azula, where lategame items and bell bearings are. Just make sure you get what you want from Leyndell before you use the forge of giants, as it transforms and some items become unavailable

Yes but you have to get to the consecrated snowfield
If you can remember, any location where you can get the silver/gold fire flies make sure you mark it on your map with a simple marker to remember so you can farm them. For 4 toed fowl foots, best spot for me consistently has been the beach over by the first step SoG, i believe murkwater cave is the next closest SoG but it’s a cave from Boc’s quest line and there’s a merchant in that area and invisible scarab on the other side of the beach , there’s plenty of eagles and penguins there to farm there. That’s a great farming location and for runes my go to is still the dragon over Fort Heighs or whatever it is on Caelid. Dual katana, get some bleed and frostbite going and pop a gold foot right before the finishing blows (hop on torrent before killing it so you can rush back to the SoG, the dragon always flinches when killed so you know when to start running. Long as you reach the SoG before he dies then you can keep doing it. If you end up with dragon hearts then you messed up )

You can still reach mohgwyn palace bro, but in late game
Regarding the church, there's a tower blocking the way that inflicts madness damage when it can see you. You get about 2 seconds where the spell isn't active, to mad dash to the next bit of cover. Be wary of rats. You can likely run past when you make it up the cliff, but if you want to deactivate the tower, you have to reach it. Then kill several rats that also inflict madness, climb the tower and kill the 6 enemies who are casting the spell. I recommend one shotting or they will also hit you with madness spells. Then you run through an entire mad village, only to be invaded at the actual church. If you touch the grace in the church before the invader can reach you, it won't respawn immediately if you die, since it activates in front of the church. You can then soak your cloth and fast travel away.

He forgot to mention that there is a bird off the other side of the cliff where you can shoot it with an arrow, and it will fall off for a whopping 11k+ runes.
You can increase this by equipping the golden scarab and eating a golden chicken foot. These will stack and give you an additional 6k+ runes.
Use the grave to reset the bird. Rinse and repeat.
Use the relic sword from the final boss. One shots almost all enemies on this section. Takes like one cast +35k
I do this on new game plus and get about 80k with golden scarab talisman

@@itsSloMo I want to actually use different things and not stay at so e limited build, I've always leveled up quite high in any souls game. Usually helping new players, or doing challangeing runs with limitations. The thing is I can do whatever I want with high enough stats.
Or climb the mountain by jumping then jump of the map in an area that doesn’t have a kill box and just swing your weapon and just keep doing that you’ll probably get 150k the first time but just keep swinging for another min and it’ll go up to 200k and then around 300k it’s more in new game plus but if u also use those yellow chicken legs and the golden scarp you’ll get more. The average without any items or effects is around 150k tho
I got to level 200 for the fun of it, if I want pvp I’ll go make a new character. Now on journey 2 I can’t find anyone to invade for the quest. Oops
There is an option where it will show you on map where some Hotspots are at. Took me.about 30 minutes.

Earlier at the mausoleum there’s another farm which gives you 140k at a time - falling through the gap at the top of a cliff by the two giant ghost skeletons. Once you get the tricky jumps nailed you can basically do it every time, takes about 2 - 3 mins each time.
So I "accidentally " killed the guy att the start of the game so I used the absolution thingy but I still can't find him anywhere any tips on how to get there?
I believe there's a portal in the norther part of the map that takes you there. I'm not sure the exact location though.

The EYE OF SAURON heading up to the Frenzied Village.
Tip hide behind objects to avoid Madness build up and as you approach the watch tower where the Fire Eye is located, hug the walls of the base of the tower. Don't fret with the Rats and B-Line towards the ladders, won't get madness build up. Then slaughter the 6-8 petrified priests (I'll go with that) and voila, the EYE of SAURON is vanquished. This makes fighting Lord Vyke a hell of alot easier unless you want the challenge avoiving madness and fighting an aggressive NPC all at the same time.
I killed that homie at the start of the game, and can’t do this now. Level 110 atm, but this sure would’ve helped…

Tip: you don't actually have to kill the host of fingers when you're invading, you just have to invade 3 times so if you really want to you could just use the thing that returns you to your world or let the host kill you. You'll also want the golden scarab Talisman if you want to make a boat load of runes. There's also a dead maiden in the tutorial area so if you go and find those pillars where you can get the imbued stonesword key, you can go back to that tutorial area, kill that boss, and get the blood lords favor dipped in the blood of a maiden

Shoot the bird in the other side of the river, and use the radham swords magic in the enemies in your side, you will get at least 50k runes in a run, 70k if you have the golden scarab, this is in the first play, ng+2 you will get around 100k

Another good farming zone is the deeproot depths, killing the gargoyles near the site of grace prince of the death will give you more than 2k runes for each, and there is one gargoyle that can give you 17k runes (don't know if it is a glitch)

Where ya get the ice stomp. I fought someone with it in pvp but haven’t found it yet.

I use the frost hatchet. Its special ability is frost stomp. Its fantastic. You just stomp and kill entire groups of people

There's a teleporter in Mountaintop of Giants that takes you to Mohgwyn Palace, if you'd rather not do invading. I'd highly recommend you only start farming runes to this degree when you've done everything else.
It's a little different no with the updates. You can't jump off the edge with no killplane to kill them all. it's been patched. But while it's not early, you can use the sacred relic great sword to kill almost all of them while being super close to the grace.
I was around level 68 and leveled some weopons I don't like anymore and was really stuck in the game and couldn't level or beat most bosses but because of this stradegy that took me about 10 minutes to set up im leveling so much and grinding runes I can finally progress again
You can also shoot the big bird on the opposite side of the cliff from the grace for about 11k runes, or 50k if you're lucky every once in a while
You can also glitch off the map in the same area and if you swing your sword for like a minute when off the map on your horse you get 100k each time
I was actually doing this quest line for a different rune farming method, apparently there's a blistering crow right next to a site of grace that you can just keep farming.
You can also get to the location via warp in the consecrated snowfield.
Across the pit to your left is a bird thing. If u shoot an arrow at it, it'll get mad and run off the cliff and you'll get runes for it too
If you can manage to get radahn sword early on it makes this method super efficient, good video
For those of you who don't enjoy the pvp part you can invade then leave via finger sever it counts
Much better after you beat the elden beast and are planning to continue to do ng+ and level up. On ng+2 I was making 1 mil every five minutes using the elden beast’s sword
Takes about 12 or less with pickled fowls or whatever but blasphemous blade clears it and bone bow for the bird takes roughly a minute a go
When you get the relic sword this farm feels like stepping to heaven.

The weapon art for the greatsword u get from the last boss is extremely good because u just us it once and it will kill everything in the area
If you got the holy relic sword from the last boss of the game you can kill all those things with 2-3 waves given if you put on a holy damage buff
Here’s my advice. If you’re stuck and need runes, explore. The game makes it so there are plenty of little boss fights that give you enough runes to do the boss
If you can, use star scourge Radhans swords. The ash of war brings have of them to you for an insta kill
You can also shoot the big bird on the left of the grace for another 10k runes. When you shoot it the bird will come after you and fall into the ravin.
If you messed up you chance to do that guys quest then you’ll be able to get there from the southeast area along the cliffs of the consecrated snow fields. There will be a large bear in the area. Ignore it. Once you get to the spot along the cliff side there will be an invader. If you want you can make him fall off the cliff and the teleporter is unlocked. You’ll be taken almost directly to that site of grace. Book you’re there

I farmed here early but you should stop while you're ahead after you get some vigor points built up. At journey 3 with 1 golden wave with gold scarab and gold foot you get over 150k each time you rest. Have fun and enjoy the game
I reached level 420 yesterday in ng+10 yesterday. I’ve always used this location but I use wave of gold ash of war from the sword from Elden beast. On average I can get 1.7 mil runes in 3 minutes, same duration as the gold fowl foot or whatever it’s called.
I would say the weapon that worked best for me was radahns sword because you can just pull in like 2 or 3 then easily one hit then and i love it, but seeing as he said for newer players earlier in the game that probably isnt an option, and dont forget to shoot the bird across the way it gives 12,000 per kill
And if you have a bow and not a good enough aoe attack, there's a chicken you can shoot if you're standing in a certain spot and it'll just run off the ledge and give 11k runes per kill. 55k runes if it has glowing eyes.
yeah the blind girl by the bridge of sacrifice also counts if you hit her hard enough while she's still alive and I'd say she's probably easier because you probably already have a Grace next to her and you don't have to deal with vyke
Just go shoot the red bird and farm I think in NG it’s 13k a pop and it takes 10 seconds to reset, NG+4 with golden scarab it’s 31k a pop takes about 400seconds to get a approx. a mil.
You can get free maidens blood by going to the four belfries and look for the one called acceptance or something it will teleport you to the grafted scion boss fight from the beginning
There is a glitch that gives you anywhere between 100k-300k runes every 50 seconds in that area using that same site of grace but expect to die a lot until u get the hang of it.
Like someone has already mentioned, you should just shoot the bird and it'll run off the edge to its death. I farmed 5 million runes in about 45-50 minutes. By far the most effective farming location I know of.
Or you can make about 5 million runes in an hour if you go to the other grace, and use the hole glitch, once you’re falling it takes about 34 swings and with the gold scarab you’ll make over 150k runes. Just takes 1:30 seconds to get there from grace
Using the off the map glitch it takes 1 minute and 5 seconds and the golden scarub dose work for it so you can get up to 200000 ruins
