About the fish: Some researchers have discovered that certain birds that eat fish and or aquatic plants that fish lay eggs on or around, can pass fish egg through their digestive tract and then poop them out intact. This is how they figure that manmade water holes and quarries, have developed fish populations.
I would say that isn't a possibility in this circumstance. The fish is a golden white cloud minnow, and they are extinct in the wild. So unless some bird went on a rampage in someone's house, ate all their pet fish and proceeded to shit eggs everywhere or the bird birthed the fish out of thin air, i would assume it came as a hitch hiker from the petstore he got the prawns at

And it's not like they ever attack, I usually chicken out first and retreat back indoors, so props for actually being able to deal with them. I'm up in SE QLD, and where I grew up we'd get tens of thousands of fruit bats in the trees near the local library. Lots of the same kinds of animals; tawnies, possums, butcher birds. Also lots of water dragons.
The German word for bat (Fledermaus) is made from the old German word for fluttering and the word for mouse. The word for fruit bat (Flughung) is made of the words for flight dog. So we call them fluttering mice and flight dogs. Edit: As someone pointed out in the comments I was slighly wrong with my translation so I editited it. I don' want to spread misinformation. The bats here only fly at dusk and night and are pretty small, I've only ever seen them as a blur flying above me.

I might be a little bit late as im sure someone else has already said this somewhere in the coments, but Salticidae (the whole jumping spider taxonomic family) are known to be one of the most inteligent groups of invertebrates. Often seen taking new aproaches to prey and in some cases, specially with a species known as Portia Labiata, they have shown the capabilities of both remember a prey and act accordingly, hunting with specific tactics, and of hunting in small groups of two or three individuals

This! I don’t linger in comment sections normally but this video moved me enough to wanna see who else felt this way. Incredibly beautiful and enrapturing. Was that big spiky thing an Echidna?
I love how possums stare, it feels so mutual as their stare isn't " I am terrified of you human" or "back away human or I will kill you". The possum is thinking "oh look a human" and the human is thinking "oh look a possum"

Fish spawn in water because they live in water?
@@mikuenjoyerXD Not when those bodies of water are empty. Dude. If there are no fish in the water. As he specifies in the video. Then fish are suddenly in water. They got there somehow. In this case bird droppings.

Hi
As a Canadian who has dealt with Canadian Geese nesting in their backyard, I can tell you that I have fought the deadliest of battles against wildlife.
Oof xD
"ay mate may i politely ask you to get out of my garden ey?"
If they charge you try to grab em by the neck, that’s their weak spot and it looks hilarious
Look out ey?
I don't even live in Canada but I have to deal with Canadian geese all the time, not necessarily nesting, but they occasionally decide that my back yard is the perfect place to start being territorial about when I used to have people over. Though, they often give in if there are enough people, but there was one that was quite threatening, it was genuinely scary. And it's not like they ever attack, I usually chicken out first and retreat back indoors, so props for actually being able to deal with them. I actually haven't seen any this year, I wonder if I even will this year...
Love this video. Please make more nature stuff

They really do look like dogs
Zo ik dutch and dutch and german overlap a fair bit so what my cestoin is is the word vleermuis ?
@@spacecthulhu399 For people who don't speak it, you guessed right, "vleermuis" = bat and literally translates to "flying mouse". I'm also reasonably sure (second language, native English-speaker) that flying foxes, like the fruit bats IDAT showed, are vleerhond, literally "flying dog". In English we call them flying foxes so to be fair we're not better lmao.
Makes sense, they look almost exactly like a dog with wings lol
