I really enjoy these old cards and I love the portraits. I started off by soaking the card and that helped remove the creases and the dirt. After that process, the front still had the residue on it. I needed to change gears, so I use the card polish and whatever substance was all over the surface was safely removed. đđŒ

Gr8 restoration of a beautiful portrait..đđ€ Very nice..đâ€đ„đ
Wow! This is just the video and product Iâve been looking for. I have a wilt chamberlain rc Iâve been wanting to clean and restore for years.
Check out my vintage playlist, youâll see a bunch of good stuff in there. You can learn how to do.
@@kurtscardcare how long after you soak and clean card does it take to dry out.
@@ironman549 small cards like this usually two days. Normal size cards and vintage cards can be 4 to 5 days. Itâs a slow process.
Captain Kurt great job bro! Love the videos!!
Really interesting technique! Appreciate you sharing your results! Would you ever soak to remove a dent or is it typically only for removing dirt and gunk?
Thatâs a great question, itâs good for removing creases, dents and dirt.
That is just unreal. So how does submerging not destroy the card? Great job on this!
I found it to be the safest way. Iâve tried working on cards for many years, and this is the best method that I have for these types of issues.
Thanks for asking.
This is incredible. Do you know if cleaning and restoring the card helps get better grades on the cards? Or do the graders see that you restored and cleaned them, and give you a low grade?
Thanks for another amazing video Kurt!
Great results! Have you seen where Mangini and bluejacket66 are having a debate about card restoration? I do restorations on cards and get a lot of satisfaction from it just like you. Keep doing what you do and posting results I love the content!
Kurt, what are the black card pads and do they come with the kit?
There is a black mat in the kit, but if you need more they are linked on the products we love page of the site as Card Mats
When you put it in the water i said wait wtf lol
Thanks for watching đ€đŒ
Iâm sure you are asked this a lot. Do you take commissions? I have a 56 mantle with one 1/8 inch crease at the edge. I was going to buy your kit and try myself. But I know youâd get 100x better results than I would, and no risk of messing it up. Can people send you cards and pay you a fee/commission?
I canât do it for you, but I can help you get a game plan. If youâre on Instagram shoot me a picture. Youâre not gonna start with the Mickey Mantle but Iâll help you get a game plan and you can do it.
Thank you Kurt. I donât have any of those platforms. Just CZcams lol. A friend told me to start with common cards from the 50s to practice first
It's definitely not water
Hey Kurt, what material are your card mats made of?
The card mats that are included in the kit can also be found on this page

How long have you been doing this ?
Huh? What? Why ask a question like that?
@@TedWilliams1959Fleer why?
Itâs a cool question, close to 20 years. I started developing my products a little over 10 years ago. Thatâs when I got a lot better and started taking a lot of time and putting a lot of effort into card restorations.
@TedWilliams absolutely nothing wrong with his question, at all, in any way whatsoever
Whatâs the liquid the card gets submerged in?
Itâs a solution that I make, I just call it card spray

To smooth out some of those wrinkles wouldnât you want to put this in a humidor for a 1/2 hour?
Would be worth a try, but some require a bit more work.
Does this work on Chrome cards or only matte cards?
What part?
@@kurtscardcare is there any part of this process that doesnât work on Topps Chrome cards?
@@SteveTYork you can polish the surfaces of chrome cards. Is there a specific issue youâre trying to resolve?
@@kurtscardcare factory dimple. For reference, check any Adley Rutschman Aqua rookie from 2023 Chrome
@@SteveTYork gotcha, unfortunately, the dimples are formed that way when they they make the cards. I can never get those to go away.
