    A little background about myself
I'm a Program Manager working for a prestige world-wide IT and Telecom corporation, present in more than 100 countries and having more than 35 thousand employees. I'm 8 years working for this company and within this period I managed to grow from a technician to a Director and be relocated several times. All of these before 40's. I was only 35 years old when I was relocated to USA and only 36 years old when I was promoted to Direction level. My ultimate goal is to teach you my path, how I managed to do it, my right choices and the bad ones as well, to short the several years long corporate journey from expert to Director into just few years. Among several skills you have, dominating MS Office was one of the success keys to call attention to my efficiency, organization and outstanding results delivered.

Really helpful! Can I though save the file without the links in order to keep an archive? I also want to send this ppt. but I want the ppt that I send to stay the same and not change every time I update the file. Is there a solution to this issue?

Very nice, thank you! I have monthly tables I update to PowerPoint, but my main concern is that I never know how many rows they will be - sometimes it's half a slide, other times it takes two. Is there to ensure that PPT will take such factors into account and auto adjust?

Sorry man. Not as far as I know. When you integrate from Excel, it's a snapshot of that little range that you pre-selected. :( you saw my sample working right? If you add/remove rows in Excel, PowerPoint will not get it. What if you convert the data into Pivot Table and then try to sync the Pivot? Does it work better?

@@diogoroldao-officetothepoi610 thanks for replying! It sort of does, but unfortunately in most cases I need the full tables, sort of like a fancier report (akin to a pitchbook, yet still presented in-person instead of handout) instead of simply sending excel file along with the presentation. Basically I need the tables so we can deep dive and discuss certain details during these meetings, so it's not the most typical presentation format.

Hi, I'm linking the Pivot chart to my powerpoint and it work for me, however when i'm on presentation slide mode i try to filter my Pivot chart on my second screen it does not change. Do you have a solution for this? Would be great if you can solve my problem.

Yes. I have given similar answer to someone else here. The automated link with real time sync only works on the very first time you crate the link, onxs you close the files and open again the sync becomes manual (although MS says it's automated). The trick is to use 2 screens, on one of them you have your presentation ON and it's where you are sharing screen, on other screen you have the Excel and PowerPoint on the slide where the chart is linked. Once you update the Pivot and SAVE THE FILE in Excel, go to your PowerPoint, right click on he chart and chose (update link), once PowerPoint updates, your presentation also then gets updated. It's manual process however you can get it done without leaving the presentation mode.
