I highly recommend the navy graduated boot camp Jan 13th went to A school for two weeks and graduated Feb 6 took my 14 days leave now I’m in Yokosuka Japan for the past month living life Navy most definitely was my best decision 🙏🏾

apact but it’s not a job which is why the schooling is so short , it’s undesignated so u have to wait until u get to the fleet to get a job and depending on which job u get , u might have to go back for school.

My daughter just arrived at Great Lakes yesterday and I got the 1 minute phone call for her to tell me she arrived🥹 I'm watching all these videos to get an idea of what life is going to be like for her for the next 10 weeks. She's really shy and quiet, so this is going to be an experience for her to say the least. How was it getting your wisdom teeth out in Bootcamp? Did they give you rest days or did you get set back? Asking because I ship out next week and I’m pretty sure I’m getting my wisdom teeth out since they’ve have been bothering me. Loved your video! So exited
good question! they have days for you to rest. it’s usually 2 days SIQ so you just stay in bed and 1 day LD so you do everything but strenuous activities. it was a good experience for me because i was knocked out sleep and when i woke up they was done. yea they’re prolly gon take yours out , you’ll be fine. goodluck in bootcamp! let me know how it goes.
I have a missing tooth, would I have to wait after bootcamp to get an implant?
it honestly depends on your case and how important the navy feels it is whether to fix it asap or wait.
Is it mandatory to remove the wisdom teeth or is optional?

I have starter locs trying to join the Navy, are we able to make hair appts in bootcamp ? just for retwist bc I feel like the swimming is going to ruin my hair 😭
make hair appointments? hell nah but you can do your own hair or sneak and have one of your friends do it for you.

Please what happens if you are over weight at memps how long will they give you to loose some weight?
thank you so much! goodluck on the asvab!! if you are overweight at meps they will tape your waist and if your waist is under a certain number you’re fine. if it’s over the number then they’ll give you time to lose it , i’m not sure how much time tho it just depends on how overweight a person is.
I’m over weight also my ac is a 37 I need it to be a 35.5 I’m working my way there and this video helped but I’m worried I won’t pass my ASVAB
don’t think like that , you’ll be fine. just study and put the work in. it’s not a hard test.

good question! my man has my dog. i love my dog so much , he’s like my son so it was really hard to leave him behind but , he’s going to come and live with me in a few months and i’m so excited. try to see if you have people who are willing to take turns watching him so not just one person will have to watch him for an extended period of time.

How many push ups and planks are required to pass the intial test or is it pacer you must pass only to pass. Also is the Rtc (the lighter pfa) on the same day. Is it still 16: 09 for the males and 18:00 for females.

i just started school on the 27th so i’m still here , i graduate on march 2nd. i already went home tho for the christmas and new years break.

Do you think winter bootcamp is worse than summer?
i definitely wouldn’t recommend either but if i’d have to choose i’d say winter. only because i would rather be cold than hot, but it depends person to person. winter you have to deal with snow and a lot of extra clothing but they still make sure you’re warm. in summer, you just going to be burning up in uniform.
I’m going to be enlisting in April how long did it take you to ship from enlisting ?
i swore in august 3 and i left september 14. but , it was my choice i could’ve left in august but i wanted to leave in september.

Did they really ship the box home with your phone ? Or did you get the box back after graduation?
nah they don’t do that anymore , they keep it in a storage room and you get it back the day you graduate.

Well pick a job that is what you want to do. Some rates specifically have bonuses for each field that your in. You can view the rates on the navy’s website.

@@Prettyluhrai haha I remember when our RDC assessment was happening I did 17 laps and didn't even know it until my 2nd RDC said "Germain why the hell did you do 17 laps" and I looked up I was all "oh shit" I think I failed. Though I passed. We failed marlinspike bad to the point where the chief said we were the worse division in the history navy boot camp. Lol
damn 17 laps is crazyyy. the fact we did horrible on marlinspike too , we got like 10 hits. our teamwork was sooo bad the instructor said we did terrible. i thought we was gon have to redo it.

goodluck to you! yes , you can bring fem products with you , they also sell them at the nex too so when you run out you can get more. they’ll also be in the community locker for all females to use and when they run out in that locker your rdc will most likely pick like 2 females to go get some for everybody.
Quick question, did they tested you for anything when you when to medical on pdays bc u were "underweight "?

tips on getting better at pushups? i ship out march 20th and i suck at them 😭
the biggest thing is practicing , get in the push-up position and hold it.
Just do an much as you can, but each day, add one more to the amount you do

U take leave after A school not bootcamp and it’s like 10 days or so

What happens if you cry and say u wanna go home?
It depends on the situation😭they not just gon send you home from for crying but if it’s a more deeper and serious situation you might be able to go home
I have really bad cramps and my officer said to go medical. so I shouldn't do that? 😭
i mean cramps is different. if they really bad i would go. you might not even get your cycle while you’re in bootcamp.
did you get to keep your septum in during boot camp or get it pierced after?
i kept it , just tucked it in
What would you say about nipple piercings, navel, industrial, etc? I was thinking about getting glass retainers and wearing them through the night. Do they check through all Your things?(will I be able to slip through retainers “contraband”)
industrial u not gon b able to get away with unless u wear it when u gts and take it out in the morning. belly button and nipple rings u can definitely get away with because nobody is going to lift up your shirt to see allat.
ok so after a school you get leave, then your first duty station... if im married when would my family be able to move with me?... im conflicted bc i have a 1 & 2 year old. been training for bootcamp for 3 months now but havent fully decided yet. its my dream but was an alcoholic, now that im sober & my kids changed me, its been lingering my mind & i would hate to regret it in the future
i’m so happy to hear you’re sober! you should try it! if it’s been your dream don’t keep dreaming when you could b doing it right now , instead of regretting it later like you said. your family can’t move to your a school with you unless you’re like a nuke or something and your school is a year or longer but when you get to your first duty station they can.
@@Prettyluhrai thank you!! from 15-23y.o i was drinking so young. im only 25 almost 26, so its getting too late i need to make up my mind! lol im undecided also bc i feel my family would be upset w me leaving my kids, but it would be for a good thing. i think they think im gonna be away from them the whole 4 years. my dad was in the navy 14 years but he tells me he doesn't think its a good idea. just bc ive been a sahm for my kids, teaching them, home cooked meals everyday, they dont think my man will take care of them as well as i was.. but i think of 5-10 years from now & ill just be doing the same ol thing & wishing i had... i also went to a recruiter about 9 months ago but he didnt give me much, pretty much kicked me out.. i had a lot of questions then, but i had gauges & he told me "you're already disqualified bc of those" & seemed uninterested, then said he needed to help the other recruiter & thanks for coming in.. got my gauges closed up now hopefully i can talk w a better recruiter soon

@daniellenelson8222 it’s not like you’re about to leave your kids to go out and party. going to the military would give them a better life and if you feel like you should do it then you should. you would b away from them for bootcamp and mayb a school but it is possible to take leave in a school , i did. but once you get to the fleet it’s basically a 9-5 job for the most part minus deployments and underways. just do all the research you can and this is your life at the end of the day so what you feel is best for you and your family.

So quick question I was looking to join. Will you get kicked out if you don't meet the minimum for push UPS and planks for the initial or do you just have to pass to only your pacer to continue.
your pacer is the only thing that counts for the initial assessment unless the navy decides to change it.

Overall how would you rate bootcamp ? Like is it easy ? and what we’re some things you struggled with ?
bootcamp in terms of easiness for me was like a 8/10. it wasn’t hard. you literally just do what your told. they tell you when to eat , when to sleep and etc. if you follow directions and you have military bearing (which they will teach you) you’ll be fine. bootcamp was fun. i struggled the most with keeping my mouth shut when they was talking shit to me , i’m the type of person to say something back but i had to learn to just keep my mouth shut because everything isn’t worth a response.

No , if you take the sustain runs seriously it’ll build your stamina and you won’t have a hard time.
Hey, so I want to join the navy buttt will I have to be on a ship 24/7?
24/7 is crazy , nah not 24/7. U could get ships company and work on a ship but its like a regular 9-5 but u literally jus work on a ship then u leave. The only time its like that is when you’re on deployment but obviously u stop and visit different places around the world.
Do they sell stuff like journals and phone books at the nex?
idk but i know for a fact they have notebooks but you can always make dye with what you have

you get another chance but if you don’t pass again you get set back in training depending on what the inspection is.

it’s not a bad job and yes you can rank up pretty fast
but it also depends on what you wanna get out the navy

if you plan on staying in for 20 years then it’s a great job , it’s just working retail. but , if you plan on being in a few years then getting out it doesn’t transfer to the civilian world bc like i said it’s just working retail. it’s like working at a gas station.
@@dayvoncurry6599 You will receive dependent pay based on your son. It’s hard to say how much you’ll receive since I don’t have any but I know you can get it. Also the navy is handing out bonuses for specific rates. You want to stay in the states a few rates I’ll recommend is YM,IT,MA. MA’s are your military policy it’s just like a security guard job but with m4s and you can get certs for stuff you didn’t know you could have
My div used to grenade the shit out of your division😂 y’all and 419, 420 and 421. Very vivid memories marching to pac fleet drill hall and throwing grenades while y’all were on your grinder. Hooyah 392
