  • Second part of the film the famous Dutch photographer made for The Koninklijke Nederlandse Reders Vereniging (KNRV; association of shipowners) Ed van der Elsken was charged with mapping Dutch shipping companies all over the world. In return, he and his wife Gerda van der Veen could sail free of charge on all KNRV ships. They stayed with me in Tokyo. The commentary is in Dutch but all names of cities are clearly understandable. This is the final part of this film. Specially in the close-ups one recognizes the famous photographer's mastership.
