honestly the price difference is purely virtual since iPad Air 64gb doesn't really fall in the usable category, so you need to bump up the storage to atleast 256gb, which brings the price REALLY close to the 128gb Pro, where you are getting a 120Hz display and Quad Speakers etc etc. From what I observed, iPad Air is just a genius strategic move by Apple pushing users directly to the Pro.
I have the 64 gb, have used it for school and have a couple of games and non school related apps on there and still have 20gb of room for bullshit so calling it unuseable is just dumb

I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Honestly as a graphic designer, the air is more than enough. You might wanna invest in a hard disk and transfer your work over once a year but it’s honestly not so bad
The only thing I am concerned about is the fact that I have an iPhone 13 Pro and am pretty used to the 120hz. Besides that the iPad Air is a no brainer.
It’s amazing what the student of today have accessible to them for school. We didn’t have portable computers or laptops back when I was in High School or College. We had to go to the library to do the research for a term paper or to just study. I realize I am old school when it comes to some technologies. I do have an IPad 10.2. I use it for Chat, Reading and video’s. I can even operate my Ham Radio remotely with my IPad. If I was to purchase a new IPad, I am not sure what I would purchase.
I just bought the purple iPad Air 256GB. I’m using it for grad school and I also work in healthcare lol so i think it will come in handy. Also for watching Netflix and Hulu to.
Great video. I'm using iPad Pro M1, it's great. The truth is that the iPad Air 5 is a powerful iPad, but it is also quite inadequate for owning with different needs. If you only use it for taking notes, watching videos, reading books, then 64GB is enough, but you can completely buy another iPad with a more reasonable price for this need, like iPad Air 4 for example. If you have entertainment and gaming needs, then you should buy the 256GB version, but at this price, the 128GB iPad Pro M1 is more worthy. Perhaps this is Apple's way of stimulating users towards the iPad Pro line. The truth is that when this product came out, where I live, the iPad Air 4 and iPad Pro M1 became much better sellers than before. LOL
But if you do a lot of stuff, like take notes, use a lot of office type apps, play games, edit 4k films, then 256gb is a better deal than 128, if you aren’t that concerned about the bells and whistles of a pro. I want the extra spaće without breaking the bank, and know I have plenty of space for everything i need to do. 128 wouldn’t cut it for me.

One thing, the 60 and 120 hz thing is completely false, the latency when writing with the ipad air is noticable, even if it is not that great. When I used the air I could see the actual line trying to catch up to my pencil.

There is still a very big difference between the iPad Pro and the iPad Air. 1) Having ProMotion (120 hz) makes the experience far far better as compared to a 60 hz panel. 2) The quad speakers on the iPad Pro sound is on another level. 3) The base storage starts at 128GB. 4) LiDAR camera system ( I find it unnecessary but hey, it’s still there) 5) FaceID (FaceID is just far more convenient as compared to the Touch ID on the iPad Air and makes life easier) These things make a huge difference to one’s experience. See, if one is okay with 64GB, iPad Air for $599 is a good deal but when you want higher storage, you gotta get the 256GB which significantly bumps up the price to $749 which is in the same territory as the iPad Pro starting at $799. So just get the iPad Pro base storage with all the added pro features like promotion, quad speakers and FaceID if you’re spending 750+ dollars.

not sure , if you're not organized whit your files or need to keep a lot of big files on the ipad at all times then no. I you have a 64gb phone and erase stuff often and never run out of memory then yes it's enough
I find it way more than enough but it all depends what you need it for man. For school, in most case scenarios, its enough. In engineering and compsci I had way more than enough room for notes, assignments and everything. I would even download some netflix movies to watch in the buss when going back home.

I feel the pro would be a better choice. Its has more ram, 120hz and 64GB isnt enough just saying. Also the m1 models is getting virtual memory swap in iPad OS 16 which would be great for photoshop etc if you dab into that. The pad air feels ok but still i would honestly go pro imo

I faced this decision when purchasing an iPad. It was £719 for a 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, M1 iPad Air; or £749 for a 128GB SSD, 8GB RAM, M1 iPad Pro. I chose the Air, simply to make this future proof enough, all while purchasing at a viable price. I work in consultancy, and do software developing however I think if you’re looking for a computer just get the M1 MacBook Air. If you just want a content consuming, note taking, media using device, this is probably perfect for you, even at 64GB. For a future proof device, always go one tier up than you think you’ll need.

I think 64GB would be a good amount of storage for you especially if you’re not a student, I’ve heard the 64GB working for some med school students so I think it’s good. My opinion though.

Hello, imo if you want to at least use the ipad for 4 yrs, maybe go with 128GB storage instead of 64GB either Air or Pro is more depends on your usage! if you're more into digital designer, developer, video editor etc. then better go with iPad Pro, but if its just a simple notetaking and netflix then iPad Air is fine! :) but if budget is not an issue, I would suggest for iPad Pro 128GB for more "future-proof" :) and it has more better sound quality & screen display (based on my opinion) :)

the liquid retina XDR is in the 12.9" ipad pro the 11" has the regular liquid retina but just has 120hz vs the 10.9" liquid retina of the iPad air 5

I use an Ipad 8th gen for school with 128 GB and I don't think any less than that would be good for the longterm.
Buying accessories such as pencil and keyboard from the money saved from buying the air makes it more worth it than the pro.

It’s probably not relevant anymore to you but after 1 year of use my ipad air is 66,8gb/256 so I would definitely not recommend the 64gb option.

The 11 inch pro does NOT have the XDR display. It’s still lcd, albeit a brighter one (600 nits vs 500 on the air)

I think 64GB would be a good amount of storage for you especially if you’re not a student, I’ve heard the 64GB working for some med school students so I think it’s good. My opinion though.

@@oogabooga4753 There are many solutions to the 64gb, but not really convenient as much. You can always have the option of iCloud, you can manage your storage, and you can get one terabyte from Terabox for free, but you have to manually back up files, photos and videos
If you're only using it for media consumption, 64gb is enough tbh
I would take the 128gb. I had the 64 gb one and regretted it bc the storage was full too quick

Hello, imo if you want to at least use the ipad for 4 yrs, maybe go with 128GB storage instead of 64GB
either Air or Pro is more depends on your usage! if you're more into digital designer, developer, video editor etc. then better go with iPad Pro, but if its just a simple notetaking and netflix then iPad Air is fine! :)
but if budget is not an issue, I would suggest for iPad Pro 128GB for more "future-proof" :) and it has more better sound quality & screen display (based on my opinion) :)
