    I've seen a working Ms. Pac-Man Galaga Cabaret Reunion Arcade Cabinet at the Bowling Alley somewhere in Georgia, and surprisingly, it still works.

    I like this machine. I remember when I first learned about the Easter eggs and ask my dad to take me to our local Dave & Buster's in Maryland. We get there and I show him how to play Pac-Man and Speedy Miss Pac-Man and he was pretty amazed at it. I can also remember when we went to a local arcade which was pretty small but still a great place and they have the option where you could do this thing called open play for a few bucks for person. So I showed one of the workers at that place the Easter eggs on that machine and I think he was pretty surprised.

      @@LyonsArcade I have a question for you and didnt see any social media accounts I could ask you on so I'll ask here. Been playing the cab I found at my local mall for a few months now and their High Score on Galaga is all jumbled. No matter what score I get, the text under HIGH SCORE is just jumbled graphics and Im not sure why. The attendants dont know why and really dont care but I wanted to ask if you had an idea as to what might be going on.

      Also they had it on the navigator of the seas :)
      Also it has a secret code you can enter to play original Pacman which is ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️⬅️
      When you insert a coin you will be on the game select menu and if you enter the code with the joy stick you should hear a bell sound and see pinky on screen, then press the ms. pac-man button and there you go.

    I played one of these in a small arcade at a pizza restaurant, back in the mid 2000s. Arcade1up just released a home, 3/4 scale version of full sized cabinet. You can almost crash it, but after halting for a second, it goes back to normal operation, so looks like that bug was fixed for that.

  • @Bloodreign1
    @Bloodreign1 Před 4 měsíci

    I've seen the regular cabinet for this a whopping 1 time, the 25 inch monitor, we have two Buffalo Wild Wings in my area, one of them had this machine in it. There's a laundromat as well here that has an original Ms. Pac-Man cabinet, sadly the monitor is going out on the thing, everything onscreen is absolutely blurry, the guy who owns the laundromat doesn't seem to give a shit about getting it fixed (this laundromat once had a James Bond pinball machine, Yie Ar Kung Fu, and Donkey Kong, and a few other games as well, all are gone save for the Missus), and at some point the machine will likely die, and he'll likely just chuck it out the door. Hopefully before that comes, someone buys the thing off of him, gives it a good home, and restores the machine back to it's normal glory.

    Did this machine use emulation at the time or was the program native to the chips they used?

    • @LyonsArcade
      @LyonsArcade  Před 5 lety +3

      It had a dedicated little board that ran it, but really I don't know if you can consider it emulation or not. Usually when people say Emulation they're talking about software, this is an official release running on official hardware but it's nothing like the original hardware....

    Thank you for the video! I'm definitely considering getting one. The one I'm looking at is without a coin door. I've thought about installing a fake coin door on it so that I would have easy access to the test button. But I'm wondering if I should just leave it as it is.

      I believe they added a button on the back near where the power cord goes in, do you have a volume knob barely sticking out of the back of the game down low? If not you may have to take the back door off then look down in the bottom of the cabinet just behind the bottom panel.

    No fucking way! The fake coin door! It's no Wonder Arcade 1up made these stupid fake coin doors as pictures with some cabs.
    I wonder how many people even know that is an actual real world Arcade... Decision and not something A1up just pulled out of their ass. Cool! .... Still lame, but A1up gains more points for attempting to bring the real arcade experience home with upgradable compromises.

      Sorry but I'm not part of the user base who keeps stock buttons or speakers.
      So outside of the controls and speakers on a Stock Cab, no. It isn't Crap.
      On my class of 81 I use a Logitech z533 set of Speakers. I choose to go with a Sanwa JLF with D44X Microswitches but I plan to Experiment with the actual Happ Reunion 20th Anniversary Stick.
      For the buttons I use IL Concave buttons with the two action buttons using Rollie Leaf Switches.
      Unfortunately for the Home Arcade Community it's easy to sit on your ass and talk shit, whilst it being so hard to research controls and learn how to upgrade and maintain them.
      Even when people do upgrade, they upgrade to crap offered by DIY Retro Arcade and crap 'Gold Leaf Switches' which are nothing more than Biolane Chinese clone hybird.
