It’s a bit ignorant to say we accept everyone as mexicans. There are so many issues in mexico towards indigenous, and black latinos within their own community.
@@kassandramonik2044 100%. Mexico has always had and continues to have a huge colorism problem. Let’s not forget a few weeks ago those kids in Mexico set their classmate on fire just because he spoke his Native indigenous language.
@@destinyg1398 oop bestie the list goes on and on! We must recongize where we fall short as a community and not just let things pass by because then you’re “sensitive”. Femicide is a HUGE problem in Mexico.
For anyone getting offended, I still agree to your points, but the reason I listen to this podcast is for the laughs and celebration of being Latinos. If I wanted a more politically correct content, I’ll listen to other people, not them lol. They’re honestly here to make people laugh, to be positive and to celebrate being Latinos and being proud of their culture. And this is the content I want to listen too. There’s way more than enough political or social justice content you can listen to out there if you want that. I do believe they didn’t want to touch on the subject of the culture racism that we do know happens with in the Latino culture. But it’s not because they’re ignorant of that it’s because they want to remain positive and only show positive content. We out here for the laughs ma boi 🙂.
I 100% agree with you because overconsuming political content can be exhausting. But the point is that Sebas is speaking about a whole community, when he should speak for himself. Not ALL mexicans are like him and there are problematic things the community lets slide. The problem is him saying “I just want people to know Mexicans don’t mean it like that”, but they sometimes do. When you speak as a whole it becomes problematic in the same way Fox news says “all mexicans are r--psts”. Especially when they frequently vacation in areas of Mexico that have a huge population of indigenous folks who are constantly abused by their own people simply for their color or because of their indigenous roots. That’s just my two cents and it’s not bad to give criticism. I don’t for a second think Sebas and Josh are bad the pod is good laughs and I love how proud they are to be Mexican, but you also have to be realistic to what you’re putting out there.
Don’t get me wrong I completely see what you’re saying, and I agree to the points you’re making. Any content you show will come with criticism and that it comes with the territory. But honestly when I watch this content, again speaking for myself. I come here for the laughs and positive vibes. I honestly don’t come here to be educated on things. Or even think so hard about these topics. The whole thing is just exhausting to me at this point with how much political/social justice content is constantly bombarding our feeds now and days. Just out here for the laughs mah boi. 🫶🏻

The media always sheds a bad light on Mexico safety. I understand it is not the safest, but they literally only talk about Mexico. Yet I have multiple friends who have gotten mug in Italy yet the media never talks about that.
Speaking about being authentic in relationships I think there are many reasons why that can happen but for me I’ve noticed that it’s way easier to be yourself around people you’re not afraid of losing than it is to be your full self around people you are afraid of losing. I am still learning as an adult how to keep myself regardless of the situation and even so I have watched myself like fold up into a box around someone I had feelings for even though I was consciously trying NOT to do that and it was like I couldn’t stop it. So just to say that while a lot of times that inauthenticity is probably intentional, sometimes it’s not and the person is just still learning how to not succumb to that fear or defensive habit. It sucks bc it’s self defeating though because the most authentic person is the most attractive so that person you’re afraid of losing might leave anyway as you try to protect yourself. Love you guys and Mondays for sure don’t suck anymore!!
