I heard someone on a podcast say “how can a serial killer do that” & someone responded “the moment you are able to answer that you have became them” which blew my mind & thought it was interesting. Loved this pod, best Latino podcast👏🏼
I am with Josh I stay away from this stuff bc it affects me n I’m so tired of people trying to convince me that I’m somehow missing out or “it’s not that bad” or whatever like why does it matter? Why is it so important that I betray my peace by consuming content that I am uncomfortable with? There is no other genre that people are so adamant at people who don’t fuck with it and to me that in itself speaks volumes.
CEREAL KILLAZ has to be the funniest title ever. I literally came in with zero idea of what that meant, but as soon as y’all got serious with the topic I LOLd.
I’m one of those really into these kinds of things 🫣 Y’all should’ve had Karen on this episode since she’s into all this!! Pt. 2 w/ her? 👀 p.s. Josh, mahboii, your hair is still gorgeous 😮💨
Even peters did all the American horror stories , I didn’t recognize him for a min . American horror stories are so twisted that I think this role was perfect for him to play.
For the nature vs.nurture debate about serial killers, it’s sort of complicated but typically neuroscientists like to say that psychopathic serial killers show signs and scans that would suggest different brain wiring or lack or brain wiring in orbital cortex which is responsible for emotion and morality. So serial killers who seem to be psychopaths are believed to have lack of emotional connection and lack of morality. Typically they know what’s socially “wrong” but because they lack the emotional aspect, they don’t feel shame or guilt, and therefore don’t care about rebelling social norms. However some people may have this issue and not kill, perhaps a poor upbringing could contribute to someone eventually killing. Sociopaths are typically someone who already has an underlying psychological condition (borderline, bipolar, schizo etc.) and while they aren’t necessarily killers, those who do kill typically do so in a unplanned, disorganized manner because it’s driven by a lack of impulse control and the underlying condition that already makes less stable, means IF they do kill it’s more erratic than a psychopath. But I think it’s both a nature and nurture problem because not all people with underlying psychological conditions are violent or dangerous but from a research perspective, it seems to be a big underlying factor in serial killers. Also you cannot rehabilitate a psychopath because they lack the morality, are manipulative, and typically like to disrupt social norms, so getting them together with other psychopaths to discuss what they’ve done, actually just gives them more ideas of how to be a more successful killer. Or they know what to say and how to pretend to be rehabilitated because they know that’s the key to being released. There’s some pretty cool documentaries! Also their actions are usually driven by a desire for something or to satisfy a need, so they manipulate to get what they want. This could be a sexual desire, something to relieve anger from a past experience or whatever. But yes some had a good childhood but their drive for certain wants/desires and the atypical brain wiring can lead to them committing crimes.
Not me almost dropping the dumbbells mid chest press bc I’m already laughing 50 seconds in. That song is about our country but idk if it’s in the country genre 😂
sebas! I love your gift guide videos with Karen. PLEASE do a gift guide with josh so we ladies know what to gift the men in our lives. Also what you guys get for the ladies in your life to send the video to the boys. I love you guys and yall are doing an AMAZING JOB!!!
I agree with Josh about staying away from things like that because it can affect you in some way. These types of shows depict people or things related to the cucuy and its not good at all. If that new show on Netflix doesn't give you the chills then you need to ask your self where you are spiritually. God is so good and he can overcome anything.
The Craigslist Killer was from a great family, went to Harvard and still became a serial killer. I'm with Sebas I think it can be both born that way and made. 💯💯💯
There’s a movie called Gattaca similar to what Sebas is saying about being born and instantly knowing when your death date is etc. It’s really good if you’re into sci-fi dystopian type films. It has Ethan Hawke, Jude Law, and Uma Thurman. Instead of your death date it’s more like stats on the probability of things that will happen in your life - health concerns, IQ, vision, etc. and your stats determine your role in society.
There are some serial killers born in normal childhood homes. Some people are just evil with no explanation and other environmental factors contribute to their situation. One thing my professors said who were profilers, is that sometime there is no explanation and we need to accept it.
Yes Josh you saying that this type of subject messes with your spirit; just let’s me know that you are a good guy and you have the Holy Spirit. Please continue to protect yourself at all cost because it’s not just entertainment; it really does affect people even if they think it doesn’t.
You guys need to record someone saying La Platica … kind of like big boys neighborhood. It has to be your go to like at the beginning of the podcast or a small song
So if you guys didn’t know Apparently the lack of serial killers we have now has been correlated to when birth control was legalized, less un wanted, neglected kids
This is why parents need to teach kids not to be bullies. I believe some of these shooters killers etc some of them have anger built up from rejection people belittling them. Then they become revengeful. Not all of them but for Some.
His brain probably would not have been much use since his head got beat in when he was killed so they probably wouldn’t have been able to get data from most of his brain . But if his brain was intact they definitely should have studied it.
Josh said “I know a little bit of country” then proceeds to sing the star spangled banner 😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀 love it Lmao
This podcast is the only thing I look forward to on Monday mornings cause work ain’t it 😂😂
Lmao same!!! 😂

Sebas asking josh how hairy his ass is took me tf out!! I love his humor!!
So funny !!! 😂
@@rosagaravito9420 he said it so nonchalantly and josh looked so stumped by the question 😂😂
I heard someone on a podcast say “how can a serial killer do that” & someone responded “the moment you are able to answer that you have became them” which blew my mind & thought it was interesting.
Loved this pod, best Latino podcast👏🏼

Josh has his shirt unbuttoned and I can’t concentrate on the podcast lmao 😂
I get what josh says about it not being good for the soul
I feel uneasy after watching those shows and have nightmares
I agree with Josh about staying away from things like that because it can affect you in some way. These types of shows depict people or things related to the cucuy and its not good at all.
