  • I sent in a Milwaukee battery that's was not properly charging and was sent back what seems to be a used Milwaukee battery that is about the same age as the battery I sent in.

Thats too bad because I just sent back two 2019' 12ah Milwaukee batteries that failed and they quickly replaced them with new. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised. It was all turned around within 5 business days. 7/14/22

Glad to hear. I suppose condemning them for one bad experience may be pre-emptive, but seemed a lot more hassle than DeWalt.

@@MyFortressConstruction I also have 2 dewalt 9AH flexvolts that have been very reliable.....the best warranty is not having to send them back!

Good to know that DeWalt has their customers back! I’ve always been more of a DeWalt fan than Milwaukee. Of course that would be no surprise to anyone who see’s my plethora of DeWalt tools compared to my measly collection of Milwaukee tools.

Alright! All it takes is that one video to do well before that happens. I think I put out around 80 videos and then all of a sudden one video provided the subs I needed. Your videos are better quality than mine are/were though. Keep it up!

Yeah, the big batteries ain't cheap and 3 years of life isn't worth it at that price!

Not even close to the same. I've owned and operated battery businesses for 15 years. Not only does Milwaukee have a better design battery with the way moisture does not get in past the case but Milwaukee has a 5 year warranty and high amp hour batteries have a 3 year FREE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY and they have never once questioned it. DeWalt has a ONE YEAR FREE replacement with 3 year limited warranty where they work on your battery and send you a rebuilt. This is why Milwaukee is smoking DeWalt in sales as far as percentage of new accounts taken from DeWalt. I have worked on power tool batteries for 12 years almost every day of my life and I assure you Milwaukee is a better built battery. Now that's not to say they both have not had some problems... Especially the circuit boards malfunctioning in. Both brands. But the flex volt battery has so many different issues with them it's disturbing. It is a somewhat intricate system but that was their choice to do so. I feel that maybe you got a kickback for doing this video because I can clearly tell you not only is the warranty better but the battery is better as well and much easier to exchange without any hassle. But the world's been pretty good about warrantying things because they're getting their butt kicked by the competition daily

Quite a passionate response. I'm glad you care about your work. I can only speak to my experiences and that isn't to say that they're everyone's experiences. I can guarantee you that neither Milwaukee nor DeWalt cares about what a 4k subscriber channel has to say about their batteries, let alone pay me to say something, Haha. I just know I've had to replace a couple batteries with DeWalt and they've always given me new. Milwaukee sent me a rebuilt or whatever it was. As for functionality, both the high power batteries have issues which is why both companies have a 3 year guarantee with the large ones. I agree though that the DeWalt batteries have issues too, the problem with the Milwaukee system is that the tools that need a high output battery overheat the battery and make it pointless to use. I had the chainsaw and 9" cut off but I couldn't work continuously with multiple batteries because 18v can't carry the required amperage continuously without overheating. Flex volt batteries don't have that issue. So, yeah, I agree that Milwaukee's batteries are better simply because 18v is more simple than 18/54, but the tools that need a lot of juice can't run on 18v well.
