The fact that the older daughter was running to catch her brother, bless her. Well behaved and concerned for others safety
Play with your hair and face and mouth and tonight and down that's all the way all day
It’s always the nice kids who don’t get the attention which they deffinetly deserve
My kids are like that with ADHD

It is the second girl that got him. Shannon
To be honest, I respect this mom for not offing herself. Her life before the nanny looked like sheer hell. Hope she and the kids are doing well now.
Yup was just thinking the same thing

This mom grew up with NO praise herself. She does not know how to give what she did not get. Sad, really.
Ironically, I feel like she grew up in an overly strict household
I feel bad for Casey, not getting much time with mum
The oldest daughter is NEVER having kids. Lol
The well behaving eldest girl was invisible. Even in this episode she hardly got any attention.
That's how the world is. To quote Yeats, "The best lack all conviction while the worst are full of passionate intensity." No one pays attention to the good people who go to work every day, obey traffic laws, don't cheat or steal, love their families. It's the drunk drivers, spouse beaters, child abusers, thieves and criminals who get all the attention.
I hope she just didn't want to be on camera and not that she was ignored
So sad 😢
That’s usually what happens when you have children with behavioural issues because all of the attention goes on them trying to get them to behave and stay calm, causing the best behaved ones to not get the attention they deserve.. parents don’t do it deliberately.
The oldest needed love and recognised . Wee soul ❤❤❤😢😢
I love that the mom never makes excuses… she tried to listen to Joe, even if something made her look bad, she needed the back up and guidance and she was receptive and put the effort
Her name is Jo, short for Joanne, not Joe, (male)

God, do I feel for this mum. You can see how broken she is. The language coming from the children is indicative of them being exposed to some aggressive behavior, god knows what this family had been through.
I think it´s from the ex partner as is the casual throwing things around.
100% right. I can see it on all of them.
She is agressive, chances are it comes from her.
So glad she reached for help. She deserved all the help she could get.
100%. She's an impressive strong lady!
Parental skills are not inborn.
I feel SO bad for this mom. She really is trying . She is just at the end of her rope, she has no help , no support and it’s three against one . Honestly I think ANYONE would be absolutely exhausted and done.
The love she has for her children is the only thing that has kept her going. It’s easy to judge looking from the outside but I can imagine that pure chaos all the time . Absolutely maddening.
I read events post episode about Howat family. It said Rhys was diagnosed with ADHD before this episode was aired. And also in another episode of the Howat family going to France, reason why mum was still struggling was because she was still going through aftermath of divorce.
where is the father of the children and grandparents????
adhd kids can mind and behave you simply have to follow through
She trained these kids to act like this. Kids aren't born with these bad behaviors they're learned.
I know exactly how this mom felt. 😢. Thanks to Jo she can laugh and enjoy her kids❤
This woman has the resilience of an iron horse. She stepped up for her kids and just appreciate Jo and her amazing work.

I pray over any mom that is currently going through this. This is EXTREMELY hurtful.
Yeah 😢😢😢
how soft and kind her face becomes is beautiful, i hope the mum and the kids are well
Hope there is some support for her too.
Tara has been stressed for so long that she has forgotten how to smile & relax.
U r absolutely right
Hopefully after this she'll be able to feel way happier and peaceful ❤🎉
She is in survival mode.😢
Those kids don’t realize that their shortening their mothers life. The extreme amount of stress she’s constantly under WILL manifest itself later in her life.
Yup and I'm terrified that it's happening to me too
Stress ages you so bad :(
I can attest to that. They are grown but now I have all kinds of health problems and never happy.
Kid having seems hellish
This...
Parents who reach out for help are to be applauded. Kids don’t come with an individual instruction manuals. And how we were raised doesn’t always work because it’s different times and different personalities.
It’s good to see the light and the expressions coming back into the moms face. She’s very beautiful. I hope she knows she can do anything.

My parents would have sent me into orbit if I acted like that.

She doesn't know how to get angry in front of the camera.
This episode had me in tears all the way through, the despair and sadness was so overwhelming. I’m so proud of her for working through this.
It's a hard job to become an enthusiastic mom when you are in deep depression
All she did was unnecessarily pass her depression down on 3 children. Why won't people just live childfree?!?!?!
@@antinatalistwitch111 um .. she should have predicted years later she’d be dealing with depression? Please give me the number to your fortune teller.
So so true 😢
She should thought of that before she slept around
Yes. Jo tried to get her to actually show happiness and positivity.
I feel so bad for older child. Mom is only paying attention to the other two that they all forget about her. And she is the only one well-behaved child.
Yes please
What are you doing today
yeah, I hope that it is not always like that and that it just seemed like it since the show will obviously focus more on the "problem" children. I feel like something that could have helped Shannons behavior more too is seeing the mom give positive attention to the eldest for behaving and then maybe she would act better to get attention. Since she sees her brother get attention from acting out she acted out as well.
Once u have 3 kids u will understand before that u know only to criticize others.
Your compassion will traumatise the girl eventually. Help people like her by trusting, respecting, and loving them.
I feel so bad for the eldest child she’s basically invisible and this will turn into trauma 😢
This comment might be the reason for her future trauma. You show no trust and faith in this girl.

This mum is so uncomfortable with praise! Everytime Jo says well done you did amazing she keeps pressing her lips together or looks away!
She feels silly.
I understand her. I don't like praises at all especially from my supervisors. Some people use praises to manipulate... I learned it the hard way.
She has been through it. I feel for her. There is so much pain she is trying to hide. Thank God she did not give up. She needs some therapy for herself, though.
Poor tara is Brocken. The damage that these kids did to her is pure despair. When the kids older they are going to regret the toll their behavior took on her.

Tara’s tough as hell! I’d walk into war at her side. You can see the dogged determination on her face.

the thing i don't like about this episode is during the parent confrontation, Jo is telling her off because her kid is running in the street, and there's no discipline etc. Tara doesn't know how to stop it! It's not that she's letting them get away with it, ...she doesn't know what to do, hence her contacting Supernanny

Me too. I would've ended up in jail.
If I acted like that when I was little my parents would have slapped the soul out of me 😂
This is nothing to laugh about!
PTSD, stress, and being stuck in freeze makes parenting challenging, this poor momma, i hope she is doing well.
I love this mom for hanging in there and she needs all of the love, support and assistance that can be found. She seems so alone and isolated that I cannot help but wonder where dad and family are. Unlike many of Jo's stories this mom has very limited resources and little to no support. It also as in many of these cases makes me wonder how they were raised and if some of their responses to the kid's behavior is learned behavior when they were children.
Having kids like that must be worse than death.
Imagine being their neighbour.
Some people would contemplate death with those kids.
My son is like that. And some days I wish I never wake up again.
Got to remember, they turned out that way due to poor parenting. I feel for her, but the only time she gives them attention is when they misbehave. So, that's the only way they know to be. There is no balance; not enough discipline and not enough fun time together.
Lol
Even her oldest daughter can see her mum is struggling that is so sad
If it were my mum these guys would be in ICU unit😂😂

Right, lone parenting at all is no joke. People assume it's the mother's fault too sometimes.
this poor mother, dude. You can see how broken she is-
Poor Kacy, she’s not been mentioned in the episode and was totally ignored! Even mum didn’t notice her grown-up well behaved girl.
This mother was so brave! She was exhausted and not gave up 😮 and The Super Nanny was brilliant. Amazing transformation 😮
Those smiles are anything but angelic😂
That’s what I thought lol 😈
I saw this episode, Tara yelled because she was stressed out. It said on wiki fandom that Tara was abusive. Tara wasn't abusive, she might've possibly have depression.
She said she was at her lowest point. U can tell she is dealing with mental health struggles. At least she isn't like the dad from the Davis Family.
I'd call her pretty abusive to her kids 100%. Terrible mother.
@@stargazer2019 She WAS abusive, but that anger did not come from nowhere. Everyone has emotions, she just did not know how to control them. She learned and grew from that and she learned to nurture her children and nurture herself in the end. If she can’t take care of herself, she can’t take care of children and she understood that. People can change, put the past in the past.
Abusive? She was trying her best... and reached out for help.
My parents would send me to an orphanage
I was in tears at how beautifully this family turned out, all because they learnt that discipline was good for them! More than good, it was absolutely needed for Mum to be the chief, the adult who was in control of herself first, then the kids followed. I love the way once they are in control, Jo gets them doing fun, interesting things that draw them together so the need for discipline gets less, there's more reason for the family to behave well...
at 18:23 you can really see Jo's presence as an authority figure. The oldest girl is watching her mom walk away and the mom is telling her to come on, and the girl LOOKS TO JO to see what she's supposed to do. Her mom has been unpredictable but she feels like she can trust Jo
Sorry
I respectfully disagree. The daughter knows her Mom needs this and decided to do this. She’s being supportive of her Mom’s battle. She’s a soldier in this battle on her Mom’s team as her loyal ally.
I felt so sorry for the mum the way her little boy was, swearing in public and hitting her! Supernanny is like every parents angel. She does wonderful work with parents. I don't know how she has patience sometimes lol my son was golden when he was younger, never swore or hit me.
