Riding to Walhalla (Victorian Alps Goldfields) (Ep43)

This time we hit the hidden goldfields deep in the Victorian Alps. The Thompson Erica Rail Trail condition was very average, so we did some local riding around Walhalla and loved it all. No gpx link this time.

Thanks for sharing footage of the trail. The rail trail from Traralgon to Bairnsdale to Orbost is worth a look if you haven’t ridden it. My favorite part is from Bairnsdale onwards.

what rail trail from Traralgon to Bairnsdale thats a train line you mean Traralgon to Stratford which chris and wife have already done , Bairnsdale to orbost

Ye that’s cool. Everyone has favourites, likes different things. I was hoping for fewer ruts, fallen trees and mud.

I think you need to get onto Railtrails Victoria not Bicycle Network to maintain the track?
