Lower Silesia - Cycling Lakes and Villages
zhlédnutí 9Před 21 dnem
Our friends Olaf, Krysia and Franek took us on a wonderful cycling route from my old neighbourhood in Opole to Turawa lake district. We rode through a dozen or so Silesian villages scattered across fields and forests. Nice! Features my son Asher visiting us on his backpacking trip. :)
Beskid Żywiecki - Na Graberki

We headed out and then changed our minds a couple of times due to extreme heat ending up in a dead-end hamlet of Graberki. And what a find! Time stood still here for a couple of centuries.

Riding to Walhalla (Victorian Alps Goldfields) (Ep43)

This time we hit the hidden goldfields deep in the Victorian Alps. The Thompson Erica Rail Trail condition was very average, so we did some local riding around Walhalla and loved it all. No gpx link this time. Music by Vancouver Sleep Clinic

Bikepacking in Australia: Strzelecki Ranges, The Grand Ridge Road (Ep 41)
zhlédnutí 450Před 5 měsíci
@bitsandgigs presents a bikepacking adventure around the Strzelecki Ranges in Victoria. We picked a two day loop to include the Grand Ridge Road and the nearby Rail Trail. This sleepy part of Victoria has some of the best views you'll get in the state. And lots of cows. All @bitsandgigs videos feature Australian music. This time 'Satellite' by Dustin Tebutt made this video so smooth. The route:...

Hi! Nice riding. Just want ti ask if there was a lot of elevation for a normal bike.
Looks like fun times!
Fajnie pod tą Warszawą!
Awesome, really enjoyed this. After heart operation 5+yrs ago i retired my ole mountain bike and built a ebike and have been ebikepacking the great dividing range and all the wonderful desert on the west. Ill stop bikepacking at 60 only 4 yrs to go. Kee up the great vids, loved your attitude. With peace love and harmony ☮️🦘
0"05 sec never place your bike on the ground derailleur side
Absolutely. I just learned that a few weeks ago
nice town
Thanks for sharing footage of the trail. The rail trail from Traralgon to Bairnsdale to Orbost is worth a look if you haven’t ridden it. My favorite part is from Bairnsdale onwards.
what rail trail from Traralgon to Bairnsdale thats a train line you mean Traralgon to Stratford which chris and wife have already done , Bairnsdale to orbost
Ah there is one east of Bairnsdale indeed. One day… Thanks for the reminder. 😁
I think you need to get onto Railtrails Victoria not Bicycle Network to maintain the track?
The guy who rode every rail trail in Vic. Said this was his Favourite
Ye that’s cool. Everyone has favourites, likes different things. I was hoping for fewer ruts, fallen trees and mud.
@@bitsandgigs Wow you were riding a MTB you wanted fewer Ruts and mud WTF ?? you would not last 5 min on some rides i do MAN UP!!
Great video Chris!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for this, I will do this Trail. Great ocean views.
Hi loved the video. Terrific. One of us has an ebike that’s me 70yrs and the other regular. Where did you start your trip? We are in Melbourne centre so would plan doing the same with the small tent and all. Cheers. Warwick.
Wow, great effort, well done Chris...
Why take so many apples - were you the last to ride that Rail Trail EVER!!!!!
Sooo many left and most were hitting the ground. We made lots of apple sauce. Nothing was wasted. Foraging is one of the best parts of bikepacking that no one talks about. :)
Awsome 🚲
What a trip! Spectacular views. Apart from shorter days, winter is the time for bikepacking in Victoria. Actually, all year around is great! Love the cameraman work 🥰
Where is the exact location we went there but couldn’t find it.
Sorry no secret been riding out there for past 15 years
I had same with my bike brake shoes just lasted 2 mnths I was not happy with that this is my 3rd ebike normally last at least a year and iv been using it on the flat
I got more expensive pads eventually and increased life to...yeah, about 3 months of intensive riding.
Hahaha ... uciekaj kurwa!!!😂
Will be there one day, Chris!
Chris! Love your family bike rides!!!
Us too!
Have you seen the new Velectrix Ascent Pulse X?
No... I've moved on to brands which suit MTB. The main lesson was that Velectrix is an entry level brand with fairly basic components. I wore my bike out very quickly and learned that something tougher was needed.
🔥! Your videos are always top-notch, I'm a huge fan
fantastic, it's on the list!
To jest super! Musialo Wam zostać dużo chickena po tym tripie chyba, co?
taaaak węże nie jedzą dużo... tak na dwa zęby
Thanks for this. I'm about to pick up a 2023 Urban Pulse ST -- I was already leaning towards a step-through and this video helped me decide. Are you planning a 12-month update?
Hi, umm probably not. I passed the bike on to my gf. She is a kind and gentle user. The Velectrix will keep featuring in some of the future videos. I was thrashing the bike too much as my interest moved towards eMTB. So, I upgraded to a new bike.
Have you had chin skiipping thank you
I was going nuts trying to find the source of that noise. It was a broken sprocket. Fixed.
Great review thanks did you experience rear sprockets chain jump looking forward to your return Tex John
Yes John, the sprockets are slowly going on the bike due to abuse. I had several replaced by now.
How did you stop the chain jumping of rear sprokets
See the other replies, John. A broken and loose sprocket.
Great vid with handy information. The bureau can’t always get it wrong 😁
THank you. I try to make them informative and easy on the eye. Such videos are great for researching the route before going.
Keen to see your footage from the river while kayaking, assuming you will post in due course? 🚣♂️ 🐍 🇵🇱
As you've seen.... big crocodiles everywhere
Oh, and the answer is Gravel of course! Unless ....we're talking ice creams from Unou in Seaford 😉.
Beautiful scenery, especially Belgrave Lake Park with it's picturesque boardwalk and creek.
Gravel ride expect pot holes video is to long
Thanks for the feedback. Will consider with next clip.
I'm considering getting the ascent pulse but considering the Reid etrail 2.0 mid drive. Edit: bought one on the weekend, happy with it so far.
Great. I hope it's serving you well. I loved this bike. Now moved onto an eMTB you see in the newer vids.
@@bitsandgigs thanks, I did actually buy the eMTB pulse ascent trail, it's a good bike.
Wow February 2023 looks great. Cant wait.
Great video’s 👍
Correct music selection for Lysterfield bike track race.

Beautiful views!
Indeed stunning!

That steep part looks like Ryans Road.
Oh god, yes, never again! There is an old cycling proverb: what comes down, must come up. True!
Pretty impressive off road bike bush bash through the middle there... plus that massive climb!
Yes it was! Bartek. How the hell are you? Been a while.
@@bitsandgigs how am I? I've been searching for old friends on CZcams : - ) Love the channel. Need to get a bike before I try to meet you on one of your rides!
First!
Thanks for the update. I’m looking at the Velectrix Urban Pulse step through for recreational use and your comments have been very helpful. I was initially looking at a hub drive bike but after a test ride didn’t like the sudden take off, the Velectrix mid drive felt more natural to me.
Absolutely. I'm yet to try rear hub myself, however all internet experts suggest the mid-drive. IT certainly feels a lot more natural. Changing geras still feels a little odd (a dip in power) due to a drivetrain protection mechanism. Not all ebikes have that, but it's meant to be a good thing. All the best!
Thanks CJ, no one ever goes there, so thanks for exploring. Like your vids.
The soundtrack to this vid was sampled from Hilltop Hoods, a classic Aussie hip hop band.
Great video!! What a cool ride with awesome views! Hope you're okay after that massive stack!
