Can you describe the synching process, please? I changed my car battery, and now my fob will not operate the top. 2008 Mercedes CLK 350 (A209). I did the ignition insert/hold lock/press unlock 5 times/press trunk button. All work. I can select 1 door, or all doors for unlock... just not my top. The spare fob does work, but not my primary fob.

This worked JUST NOW @ 9:08pm May 31st 2017 !!!! I tried 5 times lol, and finally held the key closer to the sensor and it worked! My key would only work in the ignition, now I can use all key remote functions!!! Thank you - 2003 C240 (my 6th Mercedes)
21 Savage yes, mine does that too..it has something to do with the San unit, or the entire security system ..that's all I know lol ...it's so irritating, my key fob unlocks when it wants to smh. I just use my key normally. I gave up trying lol

Is there a way to reprogram my second key to be recognised by immobilizer? Key was working fine but i tried to take radio out by bit of force and the key stopped working. I have other key that only locks car manualy. And the button on starting key doesnt work.

This isn't synching a key ? it's just changing the opening locking feature on doors ......... synching is a completely different process !

No i mean like, my doors are locked, i go to my front door with my key in my pocket and it won't unlock. I have to use my key to unlock the door

nah, i just changed my battery and it was fine (it was a smart key for e class 2014 facelift)

Made my key fob not work and left me stranded at walmart gas station . Key fob wouldn't turn on ignition nor let me lock,unlock
