  • Season 1: Episode 62.
This was my most successful hunt for old coins since august 2014.
I had researched this site and was so excited to hunt there but bad weather stopped me from getting there but finally there was a break in the weather and i got over there asap and it was well worth it.
Take Care Good Luck Out There and Bye For Now.

Paul, I use a vice with two pieces of jarrah to straighten bent coins. The jarrah won't damage the coin being a tough timber. To anyone not knowing what Jarrah is, it's a hardwood tree native to Western Australia I believe. It makes beautiful furniture. HH&GL

Hey Chris that is a very practical and smart method , nice I do need to get a vice again I did have a slightly faulty one which was sold I think in the last big garage sale we had a while ago but before I get another vice I need to clean my bloody shed it's a mess he he.
They are cheap at the big "b" named shop.
      Thanks for reminding me.
      Good luck out there.

Cracken finds Racoonman. Is cracken a common term in Aussie Land or did you borrow it from PondGuru like I did? Great vid bro. GL&HH

      Hi there Madison
I don't even know if you like being called Madison?, I hope that's ok he he.
You know what it wasn't until I was editing that I suddenly realised that I had used the word "cracking" so much man i was weird , early in the editing I did put a message or warning that I used cracking so much I. The video but I edited it out du to time constraints and forgot to put it back in! Oh boy .
There is a chance that it came from either pond guru or "warren" from "NQ explorers" I really don't know.
The hunt was really enjoyable in the amount of coins I found and with only a few modern coins and all the rest older dates and ultimately a good. Cross section of time through every decade of Australian pre decimal currency 1900's ,20s .30s,40s,50s except the 60's which was the final period for the predecimal was truely a treat.
I'm working on hunting much older sites be areas in the future.
Thanks for commenting it's always great to hear from you.
Take care and sorry about the cracking he he
