@@b1bbscraz3y The making of a habit
There are a few theories around how habits develop. The idea of the 3 Rs is one of the main ones:
Reminder. This is a trigger, or cue, that could be a conscious behavior, such as flushing the toilet, or a feeling, such as nervousness.
Routine. This is the behavior associated with the trigger. Flushing the toilet cues you to wash your hands, while feeling nervous triggers biting your nails. Doing something over and over can make the behavior routine.
Reward. The reward associated with a behavior also helps make a habit stick. If you do something that causes enjoyment or relieves distress, the pleasurable release of dopamine in your brain can make you want to do it again.

It gave me severe anger issues and mental and psychological problems
It's not only a first world problem
It's even worst in countries like Nigeria,Ghana etc
Because since everyone is really slim and ur born in a rich family(like I was) therefore having access to foods they can't,ur bullied for it
So its more like wealth people problem
Nah I beg to differ. I don't think people in Nigeria actually get shit on for being fat or skinny. I think Morocco and Nigeria wouldn't be the first to come to mind when I think of poor African nations where people are starving. In other African countries, food is way more difficult to acquire. But since you are from the US, let's just assume you think all of Africa is poor and starving so there's no need to actually differentiate between the 50+ countries within it.
almost every country in Africa has poor vs rich, the disparities are large just like the US has ghettos with the worst poverty lol, you don’t need to bring others down in order to lift yourself up 😭 who tf cares what an American thinks about us anyway

Moroccan here. Our older generation(Millenials to boomers) tend to prefer plump people(girls/boys/others). I was skinny(6'3 59kgs) and my fam was constantly criticizing me for being skinny but it's normal in a culture where being plump is the beauty standard. I am 6'3 & 95kgs(around 210lbs), my grandmother was so happy because I look now like her deceased husband(my grandfather) since he was large and had cheeks. We also like plump girls, and when I say plump, I think by Western standards it'd be over the average weight. It's only recently that the new generations strayed from the Moroccan beauty standards to the Western ones due to external media influence(TikTok/twitter/FB...etc). But, plump girls are still the norm here. Skinny girls are also wanted. You'd rarely see a normal Moroccan citizen criticize someone by weight nowadays. And, as we Moroccans say, "Li jat mrhba" = "Whatever it is, we welcome it", meaning we do not have prejudices against anything. It's inherent in the indigenous Moroccan community(the Amazigh).
so your apparently fat now

As someone who is skinny I have always been picked on for it especially when I was in school constantly being asked if I had an eating disorder which caused me to over eat and consume unhealthy foods in an attempt to gain weight which didn’t work . I then started to eat healthy and do exercise to gain muscle and that’s when I gained more weight I’m now 120 but I definitely still struggle with my body and any time I’ve said that I had an insecurity people look at me like I’m crazy and like I shouldn’t be complaining
I relate to this so much. People used to tell me to go eat a cheeseburger, asked me if I was anorexic, and even called me a twig. Skinny shaming is a real thing and it hurts too.

You have to look at more than bmi because that only factors weight to height. It doesn't factor in diet as well as body structure. Someone whose 5'10 but is very muscler and healthy would be called obese by a BMI scale. Also being skinny doesn't equal healthy either. You yourself have to know if you are healthy or not. BMI does work most of the time but in some cases with skinny people who don't work out or eat healthy as well as people who are shorty but on the muscler side it doesn't work as well for them
4:24 she’s right it’s not a matter of being skinny it’s about being healthy, or the best you can be, not everyone at their healthiest will be skinny and being healthy ≠ being skinny

love y’all, great content❤❤
i’m 18 and have been working out for 2+ years now. i started off as 145lbs for about a 1.5 years. i did meal prep and everything. this February i made it my goal to gain weight. i got up to 155 in one month of strict dieting. then maintained that weight for march. then cut down to 142lbs in april. this was just a personal experiment to see what works for me and how i feel. at the heaviest i would stay up late making sure i ate all my calories because gaining weight for me is hard. i knew my image was going to change but it was a trust the process type deal. it was hard to see myself as chunky and have a bit of a tummy. however when i cut down, i was getting sick from a lack of nutrients, low sex drive, i knew i looked good but i was always tired. after this “experiment” i stayed around 145-150 as my natural weight. i think asking a women their weight should not be offensive in the right environment. same goes for asking a guy about his height. however, guys can not change their height to be more attractive to women but most people have the choice to change their weight. it’s simple as calories in vs calories out. if you have net of more/less calories your body will change. it’s your choice on how well the quality of your process is but anything will work and make changes.
Rob never fails to make me laugh😂😂

9:33 I’m African. And trust me, when you reach a certain weight, we already make our assumptions.
Eat healthy more often than not, maintain a slight caloric deficit and exercise 3-5 times a week. When your doing those things consistently over days, weeks and months after that all you need is patience. I went from 185lbs(had hip surgery) to 142lbs after 5-6 months following 3 months of physical therapy. No magic, or gimmicks just working hard, smart and consistent. Focus on getting stronger, faster and more mobile instead of the number on the scale, that'll take care of itself in due time

Yeah I don't think rhino knows what he is talking about. Every human society since ether beginning of time has its own beauty standards to which the point people have been multilated and mutilate themselves to part of that beauty standard. Chinese foot binding, female genital mutilation is Africa, lip plates, everything.

I lost 45 pounds in 7 Months All there is to it is don’t eat as much and cut out the junky food. It’s sad to see these people in a worse position than I was not even try to better themselves because of “body positivity”. Body positivity is killing us
i agree but sometimes theres more to it like mental illnesses like pstd and such that makes it troubling to care for themselves bc many choose food as a comfort source, and this leads to BPD. so idk i think we need to provide better support for these people as well, bc the problem can be mentally and that might need to be fixed first and in doing so the weight issues can get fixed

Not wanting to answer what your weight is isn’t necessarily fatphobic IMO. They could just be afraid to be judged on their weight in general whether they’re skinny, average, or bigger. I guess the best way I could put it as a guy is asking a dude how much he benches and him being reluctant to say because he may look stronger than he actually is.
Glad someone has sense instead of immediately trying to find flaws in their opinions 😂
Do people have a problem with saying how much they bench?

Great video guys...the girl at 3:55 "more hips, more butt...Ive evolved.." shes funny but she had the most confidence...and seemed to look at her weight as nothing more than extension of how positive she sees herself. 5:11 I don’t see anything wrong with what she said. As someone who lifts and 60+ pounds, I’ve been at both sides. Being skinny isn’t something to necessarily be proud of. You can be skinny fat. It’s all about the skin folds and body percent fat. But I can see where it might be a double standard coming from her bc she seems the type of person to get upset at someone commenting the same way towards fat ppl. Idrc tho fat or skinny, working out to be skinny isn’t good. Skinny isn’t always healthy.
