- Emily snagged herself 1994 4x4 Chevy 1500 Silverado Z71 as her new work truck and we couldn't have her driving around town in a bro truck so we pulled off all the mods the previous owner did and put her back to stock. The truck looks WAY better now and is the perfect mix of classy yet beater. This way we can ride in style to the dump or junk yard.
In this episode we replace the grill, the headlights, paint the bumpers, and restore classic Chevy 2500 16 inch rally wheels. We also add a fresh set of Nitto Tire Ridge Grapplers to make the truck ride much better and safer in any weather.
A MUST HAVE for any truck in the PNW.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this video. I thought I was the only one that preferred the stock look over the black wheel s and lifted suspensions, etc. I have a 98 K1500 all stock, and it is as beautiful today as the day I drove it off the showroom floor. These are great trucks in so many ways! Great job on your restoration; I like it. :)

that wheel and tire combo looks so much better. in my opinion you cant beat the stock z71 alloy wheels with a nice size tire on them tho. so many idiots getting these trucks and making them useless now with stupid wheel and tire setups, nice to see someone with common sense making one nice for a change.

People wonder why these trucks are going up in value and so popular, well this video shows why. Besides being very reliable trucks that a person can fix themselves with simple tools this video shows just how nice you can make them look on a budget with a little work. Can't blame teenagers for doing dumb teenager things lol but like you said in the description you wanted to go for a nice classy look and you nailed it. Hope your lady enjoys it.

Great vid, you ought to look into replacing the strip on the bottom of the truck with one that has the original Crome line in it. They’re like $120 on Amazon. 👍

ive been working on my 1994 z71 stepside for almost a year now. I was looking at getting a black grill, but old post so im sure its gone!! lol I also am using the anzo lights, Very nice job on truck Looks fantastic.

@@CoolGuyClub usually I would say don't go messing with too much mechanical stuff but I agree with that guy. The 4l60 is the weak point on these and the corvette servo has no negatives, firmer shifts but still comfortable. It's cheap and easy to do it yourself and will help extend the life of your trans. Every 4l60 should have came with it from the factory honestly it's a shame they didn't. Just watch a video about it and you will see it's very quick and easy to do. The firmer shifts will make you think it would be harder on the trans but it's actually better for it.
I have a 95 GMC C2500 and wouldlike to replace the OEM Mirrors to the nice pretty chrome ones like you have there. Do you have links to them that you would share as I cannot find them. Thanks your mods are looking great.

What paint did you use for the bumpers and wheels? And how has it held up?
We used Chevy “brilliant silver” and it’s held up really well actually. No chipping. No melting. No dark spots on the wheels
I also ceramic coat my wheels every two months
Do not beat that truck up with work. Use a Nissan or a Toyota.

Good question. The fact is, a super clean OBS that has been unmolested stands out now a days. They are almost impossible to find in good condition and that's exactly why we returned it to stock.

the 88-95 trucks with the tbi engines are probably the most reliable trucks ever made. if you want to drive fast get an LS, if you want to drive it forever stick with the tbi.
