    How do you turn off the noise when you click on something it gets annoying

    I hate that pioneer went with a proprietary end (not a 3.5mm) to go on their measurement calibration microphone.
    I have found measurement mics are not created equal. My Denon mic blows away my Yamaha mic and my Emotiva mic doesn't even properly work.
    So the biggest question i have is how good is the measurement Mic (cd-mc20) that fits the pioneer? If it isn't good, the auto-eq feature, the only reason I want to upgrade from my JVC head unit, will be almost useless.

      watch the "money pit" donut media video about headunits, they road test the mic and the mic that comes with this model is good quality

    Is the screen bright enough to see in full sunlight with the top down? Thanks!

      I wish this unit had of been available when I got the 3 I would have put it in that as well. I did just put one in my daughters Honda CR-V I really love all the features of this head unit!

    Looking to get one of these for my 95 M Edition. How was the install? Did you need to wire the speakers separately, or were they part of the wiring harness?

    • @Rumnhammer
      @Rumnhammer  Před 3 lety +2

      The install was a piece of cake, I got it from crutchfield and they included the adapter harness and everything you need to install it. You should watch my install tips video for info on how to configure the factory brackets with the mounting, and how I made a fill plate for under it. You don't need to do any wiring for the speakers, they are wired to the factory harness that your adapters plug into. I would suggest you get the easy wiring connectors, they simplify the mating of the adapter to the radio wiring.

      @@Rumnhammer thanks for the advice! I'm looking at crutchfiield too so I'll grab those connectors. I also ordered a double din adapter from jass performance, but I might end up drilling some holes in it for the mic and usb like you did. Looks a lot cleaner. Thanks again!

      It says you have to wire the parking brake in order to access settings on the crutch field website. Did you have to do that?

    • @jeremyhansenisawesome
      @jeremyhansenisawesome Před 3 lety +1

      @@Marco-uk1xy I avoided that by just splicing the parking brake wire into the ground wire. That way it always thinks the parking brake is on, and you have access to all the settings all the time.

    • @Rumnhammer
      @Rumnhammer  Před 3 lety

      @@Marco-uk1xy Yes. it's not hard in the Miata the red hot to the parking brake is right there, so just splice the green wire into it.

      @@Rumnhammer no.. I have one of these and planned to put it in my new car but my dad is telling me I’ll void my warranty if it has electrical problems.. I know it doesn’t make but I just want to show him an answer

    • @Rumnhammer
      @Rumnhammer  Před 3 lety +1

      @@8thhokage788 changing the radio won't void your warranty. It might void the warranty of the factory radio, but not the car. FWIW this type of radio is a big upgrade for older cars because it has alot of features that the old radios didn't have. Most radios that come in new cars are very good, and have these features, so I would question why you would want to replace it with this radio.
