FNaF Dark Rooms in FNaF VR Help Wanted feature many animatronics including Plushtrap and Nightmare BB from FNaF 4. These nights are typically considered tricky and inconsistent, but this FNaF Academy how to walkthrough will allow you to beat both the normal and nightmare modes with 100% total consistency.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to remind you all that this video was recorded back in December, and due to potential audio issues, cannot be re-edited. This means that the outro contains some outdated information.
For one, Bon has been busy with other projects lately, so I decided to make this thumbnail myself with some brief feedback from him and other creators. Hope you like it, I did my best! It's certainly an improvement from my 2021 thumbnails that were just red, nearly unreadable text in an office lmao. I've also gone inactive over on Twitter, so don't worry about following or keeping up with that. I made a community post and a livestream detailing why recently if you're curious, it's a whole thing. Lastly, it's obviously not December and I'm past 25k subscribers, so the daily streams aren't happening anymore. I am still streaming a lot though right here on YT, so come hang out if you aren't busy when I do the next one!

I think they should’ve replaced the balloon boy level with a Ballora Gallry level.

Fun fact: in VR for this game, you can literally just lay down and look up towards the window in the room and just wait until you see the silhouette of Plushtrap or BB and win SUPER EASILY every time

@@skullface3191 all you need to do is lay down and stare at the window, the second that the window is blocked at all you flash your flashlight. But remember on nightmare bb there are balloons that can mess you up
I DID THE NIGHTMARE BB WITH MY SOUNDS OFF THE ENTIRE TIME, ON MY FIRST TRY, AND WITH 4 SECONDS LEFT
so basically the pattern for plushtrap easy is one step, scurry, one step, two step, scurry, one step, two step. and right after that second step, you have to shine the light. this helped me beat plushtrap, thank you!
You’ve honestly been such a great help to me lately. I’ve been beating all of the UCN challenges with your help (except old friends) and I’ve been trying to beat Fnaf 2 night 6 as well. Keep up the good work!
Just one quick correction: Plushtrap and Nightmare BB cannot break pattern unless you flash the light. If you flash it then the pattern will be stopped and started again (from the point you flashed him at), but not altered. They follow the exact same pattern the entire time and will not differentiate from it. Also love to see you make a thumbnail, looks sick!

If I could replace any one level with something identical, I would replace Plushbaby with Scraptrap. The instructions are as follows...
Basics: You are stuck inside a security office with visual distortions everywhere. Scraptrap will approach you from either the two doors, above you using a ladder, or behind you from the vent. You must use your flashlight to cause him to go back. When you hear walking or see Scraptrap retreating, he's gone for now. When you hear a voice, he is about to kill you. Find him and use your flashlight on him before you die. Voice examples are "You may not recognize me at first, but I assure you, it's still me." Or, "I always come back." Keep in mind these are not all of them, Scraptrap has like 15 of those. Be careful as Scraptrap can clone himself by using his Giga Springtrap powers before Fazbear's Fright burned down. These clones can kill you, so be careful. When Scraptrap heavily shakes, that is the Afton that is about to kill you. Your flashlight battery is limited with 7 bars. The office is also out of power. You need to survive until 6 AM.
Strategy: Spam your flashlight at the security doors, ladder, and the vent. If you see Scraptrap, hold your flashlight on him until he retreats. When you clear Scraptrap, wait for the battery to recharge 1 or 2 bars then flash again. If you get a double or triple kill, you can wait to charge 3 or 4 bars. If you hear a voice and don't get the right Afton, ignore that and check everywhere for the shaking Afton. If you find it, hold the light on him until he retreats and then flash the other Afton. Repeat this until 6 AM.
Something I question about this, why or how was Scraptrap able to carry along his Giga Springtrap powers before Fazbear’s Fright died?
Plushtrap and Nightmare BB in Dark Rooms basically follow the same instructions as they do in FNAF 4 but with few changes. Also your thumbnail is sick! Amazing job! 2 years later and you make an incredible thumbnail.
In FNAF4, they run on an RNG-based aggression timer. From what I gather, their aggression rises around 12 or 16 per milisecond as a 2-second timer pulls a random number. If said number matches or preceeds the current aggression level, they'll advance a step.
These iterations seem to just run on flat timers, though.
Here is a better way to best it every time lay down under the map and you can see him moving (VR ONLY) lay down irl to go under

Hey Ambience, I know I'm a little late to the video, but I would like to thank you for the guides (specifically the ones for HW). Recently I wanted to replay my favorite game of all time (RE7) and that ended up causing me to go on an achievement hunting spree with games and these guides have been helpful for HW (the first FNaF game to have Steam achievements).

an idea i have for dark rooms is called scraps. The main mode could feature 1 or multiple of the scrap animatronics, and your goal is to complete tasks while shining your light to push back the animatronics ( basically combine plushbabys with vent repair mangle). The characters could come from behind you, vents to the side of you and even from above. The hard mode would feature all 4 attacking at ones
That would be good for vent repair, for dark rooms they should of added the breaker room.

I would replace nightmare BB’s level with a custom level known as power outage. Power outage would start with you under the FNAF 1 desk. A phone call from phone guy would commence.
“Uh hey, so the power went out last night while we were closed, so on your shift could you quickly try and fix the power, look there’s a breaker under your desk for emergencies like this okay. So just flip the switches and press some buttons and try not to make any noise okay. The animatronics luckily aren’t built with some crappy night vision, but if they come in the office, just hide behind the drawers alright. Alright, goodnight.”
In this level you need to repair a breaker under the desk. This breaker has a screen. When you open the breaker the screen will tell you to follow its instructions, like ‘pull the switches in this order,’ ‘press the red button. All of these tasks make noise. Bonnie just goes through the left (now right) door and walks through the office. Hide behind the drawers. Chica acts similarly, just with a different door. Foxy is in the cove, and he is agitated with noise, so when you hear his curtains open, stop the breaker before he runs down the hall and kills you. Wait for the curtains to close again. Freddy laughs when he is almost at the office. Stop the breaker and hide. Until a music box song fades out. If you make a mistake on the breaker. He instantly comes to the office, repeat the process. The second mistake you make, power cuts off and he plays his song and kills you. Complete 20 tasks on the breaker to beat the level.
Blacklight mode: Power surge
Blacklight mode makes it so the cancel button doesn’t work, so foxy becomes a huge threat. Freddy and the others get more active. And the level is monochrome, like night five. Now, a power surge can occur. Lights will flicker as a warning, and then they burst. Have the breaker be idle during the burst. It’s not a huge threat, but be on guard.

WARNING: I tried this on nightmare bb hard mode around five times and each time when he gets to the final two steps, I only ever heard him take one step. Then he appears not immediately after the step, but around a second later. So around halfway between the two steps
Is there a rough time on the clock you should flash the light where he'll probably be on the X? Just so I know if you could make it even easier by just flashing at a certain time

Vent Repair will be done just like everything else in HW.
so basically just wait for 5 footsteps and flash? seems like everything else doesnt matter unless you wanna know where he is

When I first played I encountered the minirinas (I forgot how it's spelled) and they kinda threw me off, but after that I never saw them again in the left door closest to plush trap

Thought it was pretty neat, yep.
I had trouble hearing the sound effects, so I just used the countdown to my advantage:
I waited until 80 seconds and every 4-6 seconds, I would just flash the light and hope that he moved.
A quick question about the timer
Wouldn't it be easier to look at the timer until it has reached 53 or so?
I mean, I guess it might be easier, it just wouldn't be anywhere near as consistent. These are just two runs out of over a dozen, Plushtrap doesn't always arrive at the X at the exact same time. That's why you listen for sound cues.

ambience,my pc runs every game really fast,150+ fps but i always lag in fnaf games. do you know why?
For me I count to 5, I keep my eyes closed while counting so I can also listen to the sounds, and once I get to 5 I flash the light and open my eyes and then repeat. It’s worked everytime for me in both normal and black light mode. I’m on vr btw so idk if it works with flat mode or not

Small problem I just did it and got him at 64 seconds and he was absolutely silent.
Nightmare bb should’ve been replaced with the Funtime Freddy and bon bon thing in night 2 of sl.

Nightmare bb is easy cuz all you need is to listen to hear if he says anything, if he does. Just flash him its really easy.
