This was Nene’s downfall I was surprised she was asked back for S12 after this reunion.
Downfall… She just had a bad season and was going through serious things and had to keep working in an environment she didn’t want to be in .
I wouldn't call this a downfall for Nene , she was going through alot this season and all the girls saw this as an opportunity to take advantage of the situation .

I believe NeNe was really having a mental breakdown. No words can express how she was feeling when her husband was having health problems, but aside from that, you want her to go on a reunion to argue with the cast about the season. That was pain in her body language! Only somebody strong could endure so much pain! She checked out! I'm not justifying any of her wrong-doing!

Looking back on this, I really believe Greggs cancer was terminal and she and Marco knew this… This was also the same time Wendy said on her show, ‘if you only knew what Nene was going through..’, I don’t think Nene got the grace she deserved that season, she was really going through it.

Let’s be honest, once NeNe found fame outside of Housewives, everything started going downhill for her on this show. She 1) started to feel untouchable and 2) felt like she was always right and everybody else was wrong. She was insufferable after season 6, unfortunately.
This is why I never liked NeNe. She has made me laugh at times but I always saw her as this mean girl behind her fake smiles with the other women. Like she has a jealous streak and will try to humiliate you. She does anything for attention.

I get Nene’s frustration. She was going through a lot and had so much pressure on her. You could tell that she was disassociated from her and others' feelings. The best thing the ladies could have done was support her from a distance, and when she's ready to open up, then be there. One thing I have learned from experience is that when you break down, you do not hear and see nobody because your perspective and perception are cloudy. The only thing that you’re trying to do is stay afloat.

Her friends are not supporting her according to her wishes but pressuring her. If they were supporting her, then they would understand she wants space.
Their intentions for her are not bad, but they’re just not her intentions which is creating a conflict among them. Right now, NeNe’s perception is distorted, thus causing her perspective to become biased. Therefore, the best thing her friends can do is allow her to sort out the two without pressure. Another thing we as viewers can also assume from last season is that the cast talked poorly about NeNe and how they weren’t her friends, etc. Since her family is going through this, she’s supposed to trust them with her vulnerability.

In this case I can see why Nene was so upset and distant. Her husband had been diagnosed and she was reeling as a person who internalizes pain and I can understand that response. Now, she wasn't right for being cold and outwardly angry towards her friends and castmates, but she certainly deserved some leeway this one time.

I'll say this. I dont hold this season against Nene. Her husband had cancer, she had a break down, and she dont trust these women, and bravo is shady as sh!t. This isnt just her hanging around these women for fun, this is her JOB, in the mist of everything eles happening in her life. Everyone deals with grief and trauma differently. All you can do is let ppl heal in their own way. Nene didn’t want to talk don’t try to force her. She probably would’ve never been around that season if she wasn’t contractually obligated to do so. That’s why she gave the energy she gave she was hurting.

When ppl are going thru things internally it doesn't help when "friends" make it about them and how you're hurting them when you're the one hurting. Just say I understand an I'm here for you whenever you're ready for me
I actually agree to that. I get both sides but sis was really grieving. When you hear a close family member has cancer, your brain automatically starts thinking the worse (they aren’t going to survive, you’ll be alone, etc.). That is extremely hard to deal with (speaking from experience). Sometimes there is misplaced anger, there is depression, there are so many things happening inside a person. Empathize and show compassion and understanding. If they aren’t ready to let you in, offer the support when they are ready but forcing it and getting upset at their reaction is not an option.
Facts. I understood where Nene was coming from without having to guess. I went through it myself with my mother getting sick really fast and not expecting her to die. I didn't talk to anyone really. I had to get myself through it. I closed myself off because I had to attend to her funeral, her estate which I'm still dealing with and my sick brother all at once. I had no capacity to hear anyone else's issues. So I shutdown to deal with my grief on my own. Only Jesus could heal my broken heart. This where they all need to get an education on how others deal with things differently then they would. Nene didn't want a pity party or her grief to be front and center because it brings her down. Her anger is from people saying she's nasty and a bitch and uncaring and they keep harping on her not letting them in. Like give her a break.

Someone had to tell me this when some ppl that I considered MY family flipped on me.....she said I know it hurts but look past your hurt, recognize the blessing and thank the Lord for it. Everytime something happened those ppl brought drama and when nothing happened they made up drama, you were their family one day and dead to them the next, now they've cut you off! It's too exhausting dealing with them God blessed you with an out, take it, thank him, keep it moving and don't look back. Nene is like that family.
