    I've been a digital nomad for years. I'm naturally introverted so I don't mind being alone. There are certainly pros and cons with the lifestyle.

    This is so true! I did the digital nomad life for the past two years....I'm back home now. I bought a house, have a dog, and live in a quiet boring city. I still have the itch to get out in the world again and that experience has forever changed me. I think I will keep my home base and venture out only a few months a year since my current job is remote.

    I agree with you, especially regarding the age factor. I am 35 years old and I just finished a master's in the Netherlands. As a Colombian, I've always been open to new people and new connections. Before coming here, I wanted to date a girl from another culture with a different mindset, but after a year of experiencing this master's journey full of people in their 20s, I just want to go back to my country, settle down, and meet a lively Spanish-speaking Latina. I want to continue creating memories with my parents and friends. I should have done this master's 10 years ago; maybe I would have had the energy and boldness to experience it in a different way.

    Thank you for this great video 🙏
    I experienced the exact same thing that you are talking about in the video. I've been traveling for almost one year (doing workaway) and I came to the same conclusion as you: Find yourself a place to settle down, stability, deep and meaningful relationships... Then it becomes a completely different feeling to travel for a few weeks in a year to a foreign country and do some tourist activities. Full time traveling is mentally and also physically very exhausting after some time. That's what every traveler told me honestly, after we knew each other for a while.
    By the way, expats experience sometimes the same, when they are not able to adjust themselves to the new country, culture and people. So they will always be an outsider.

    I've been a nomad for 3 and a half years and a lot of what you said resonates with me. Oddly enough, I'm polish american, so lived in poland for a bit like you are now. I'm in the process of finding my new home base. I think the lifestyle has taken a toll on me mentally for sure. I feel blessed to have gotten to see so much of the world and delve deeper into a handful of cultures.
    My dating life is a mess though haha. Wish you luck on your journey to stability and thanks for putting this out there.

    If you take the path least taken, its more interesting but also more lonely. I joined the Navy, dropping out of college after 1 year. It was an awesome time, got to do a lot of cool things, travelled the world, met a lot of really great people. The thing about the Navy is that your path is unique to you, so you are always alone whenever you go to your switch duty stations. I learned to make friends real quick knowing I'll only be with these guys a few months to a couple of years.
    Whenever I go back home either Philippines or Las Vegas, my friends who never left are in awe of my adventures. But then I hang out with them and realize they've created very deep roots, and that is something I have not done. Wherever they go its like Cheers, everybody knew their name. I kind of envied that and realized I only had a few moves left before I'd like to grow roots as well.

    Thank you for your time and posting. I've lived in Germany and Australia, both for ten years. I never hang around Americans. Yes, I'm American. I'm checking out Vietnam for two months in Oct/Sept to see if I want to retire there. I checked out Ecuador, and most Americans there complained so much, they wanted it to be a little US. Many complained about not being able to get the drugs they got in the US in Ecuador, for free.

    I did it for a short time, good luck dating when they find out you're only there for a few months, lots of heart break. Yes, moving around is annoying, so is renting cars, and flying. I'm no longer travelling to travel, just shopping to find a country that suits my values and lifestyle.

    I 100% agree with you. Most of the people pitching the DN life have a financial incentive to do so. It is fun for a year or two max but then you realize that what's important in life are the connections and relationships that you have in your life. And being a DN makes it nearly impossible to build any meaningful relationship with people.
    I am looking to settle down and leaving this DN life forever.

    As you age so do the circumstances. Change is okay. Just keep it moving forward and keep building on your successes. In the military (I’m retired Army) I felt like a nomad moving every few years. At some point I desired to stay put. The U.S. is home base but I do travel out of the country every year to get my travel “fix.” Best of luck.

    People always think the grass is greener on the other side but it isnt. I think people need to come to terms with the fact that no one is going to love you as deep and as well as you can love yourself. Chasing this idea that you can fill the void inside you with going to different places or meeting new people is retarded to me.

    I quite agree on dating someone of a similar background to you. It just makes things a lot easier, family easier and overall life easier. The issue with dating someone from a completely different culture from yours is that, at the end of the day either one person has to go or commit to one or the other. If the other person doesn't commit then the relationship won't work out.

    • @JW0121
      @JW0121 Před 3 měsíci

      Massive difference between Pakistani girls as there is like 4 types , 1- those who wear hijab from religious families 2- The ghetto ass ratchet type from UK Birmingham etc who hang out with the trappers and fuckboys 3- The normal type one who is a bit westernised and goes university. ( does not wear hijab , dresses normal and not too ‘slutty’ ) Go for the third type obviously if your a normal guy. Alot of daddy issues which is the same type from other asians ( dads usually work alot so absent , or the daughter is seen as less value and very strict upbringing in a annoying type way ) , also sports , athleticism, and health is basically non existent for the average household so keep in mind if your a fit healthy guy , look for the one who goes gym and does not eat garbage like naan , parata , biryani , foods cooked in seed oils etc on daily basis. Same can be said for Indian girls of course
