    Hello,
I’m interested in getting Italian citizenship by descent but in the line of descent, there was a common law marriage with children born out of wedlock. Is there any legal precedent for this type of Italian citizenship by descent case or would this be new in Italian law? Has your firm handled this type of case?
    Thank you
    .

Hi! I was wondering if you could help me in my case. I was born in italy from filipino parents but I did not grow up there. Basically i arrived in italy when i was 18 and currently on my 2nd year of residence. My mother recently got her italian citizenship and i was thinking if this will affect my case if i were to apply too. Will this reduce the time of residence I need? Or does me being born in Italy also help with that? Thank you!

Thank you for this. Do you have any idea how a court might look at a minor case where one of the minor’s Italian citizen parents (mother) naturalized while the minor was a minor but the other (father) died before naturalizing and before the mother naturalized?

Can this apply in this situation: GF naturalized in US in Oct 1922. Married Italian GM in Italy in 1926. Father born in US in 1929. GM naturalized in 1938 (while F was a minor). Any chance GM technically passed Italian citizenship back to GF because of the marriage, thus eliminating the minor issue?
