I'd add sprawl... Big part of the traffic and infrastructure as well as skyrocketing housing cost as they aren't building small homes(and ripping down those smaller affordable homes to build large apartment/condo blocks and the survivors got expensive). For instance, my first home in the Baker historic district I bought in '95 for $43k a year out of college (house payment was less than my car payments). Now it would list at half a million for a 725sf rowhouse.

One important fact about CO: in the last 20 years the winters have been less snowy and warmer than normal so the people who have moved here in that time span do not realize that CO and Denver prior to the late 1990's had fairly cold and snowy winters. I am a CO native and have noticed how different the weather patterns are now from the normal patterns 30 years ago. I've also noticed that thunderstorms are not as frequent as they used to be as well in the summer. If the weather ever returned to what is was, you might have some pretty unhappy transplants.

I’m from Massachusetts and our winters were *famously* snowy and cold through the 70s (when I was born), 80s, and 90s. Winter began in late September/early October. By halloween our noses would be running into our masks and we’d be *freezing* in our costumes. For the oast few years we have worn t-shirts on New Years. It’s not right. At all. Some winters don’t even really happen. I don’t know what to even say about it.

@@johnorsomeone4609 Yes the overall climate has changed. I've owned a house since the mid-1990's and I remember putting my lawnmower away in September or October but now these last 15 years I'm putting away the mover in late November. The weather has changed but sadly even a lot of the native Coloradoans I talk to have acclimated to this new climate and have forgotten about CO's old climate. This winter they think has been very harsh but in actuality it has been fairly normal. This March we have not received much snow so far but March is the snowiest month for CO but it hasn't materialized. I'm curious to see the Summer because really I haven't seen a good thunderstorm in years. When I was a kid in eastern CO there were thunderstorms almost every day in June, July, and August.

30+ year resident of Denver metro area here. I’ve seen the city grow a lot. And yes, the transportation infrastructure hasn’t kept up, which means there are too many cars on too few roadways. The roadways are also poorly maintained, and the freeze/thaw cycles of winter weather are damaging to road surfaces, which leads to holes in the streets. The weather here is the best and worst. There are a lot of beautiful sunny days but they can be offset by cold temperatures and monster blizzards. Yes, it is dry air, and people from other parts of the country may miss the lushness and greenery they left behind in their home states. We don’t have the best growing season if you like to do your own gardening. But overall, I’ve stayed in Colorado because the plusses outweigh the negatives.

You might also like up north in Fort Collins or Loveland. Potentially even Colorado Springs, though it has its own city type vibes

There isn't one. If by "spring" you mean 70s and sunshine. It happens for about a week, usually in May. Prior to that it's 40-60s, occasionally 70, but snowstorms in March and usually cloudy and rainy in April. So it stays cool, and then, by the end of May it's high-80s/90s.... Summer. Fall is by far my favorite. Dry. Sunny. 80s during the day, 30-40s at night.

Democrats did the same thing to Denver that they have done to every major city in America. They make it so expensive to conduct a profitable business in their city that most of them leave. That is why most of downtown Denver consists of high rise buildings with the lower level doors and windows boarded up. Democrats by design run out all the employers so that the masses become entirely dependent on government handouts just to survive. From that point on the majority of people in that city will vote Democrat because they are afraid that a Republican mayor will take away the government assistance that was forced on them by the Democrats chasing off all the employers with their excessive taxes and fees making it impossible to make a profit.
