Everything you said was spot on. Every time I go, its always a fun time and you can tell the park is taken care of in terms of maintenance. In terms of major new capital, its been four years since the last investment, the larson superloop. If Valleyfair has all of that land in the northeast part of the park going up to the river just above the parking lot, they could build literally anything. Really depends on if that area is on a floodplain or not though since Valleyfair has flooded from that river.

Cedar Fair really needs to just invest in more rides for the smaller parks in general. Valleyfair, Dorney, Worlds of Fun, Michigan’s Adventure. It’s nice that some parks were starting to get more attention such as CGA and Kings Dominion, but they definitely need to step up their game and stop putting coasters in Ohio every single year. A lot of their parks have gone over a decade without a new coaster which is the longest they’ve ever gone without one

Knowing the area pretty well, it is subject to major flooding from the Minnesota River. Half the park can get under water and they have to close the park losing a lot of revenue. They also have the cost of maintenance after the floods. Love the park, though. We really need another invert roller coaster. B&M would be nice.

The high roller is the oldest coaster in the park. Planet snoopy is only a few years old. So the Planet snoopy location is sorta odd. It's hard for Valleyfair to add any rides more extreme. There's a airport across the river that limited the high of Power Tower when they built it.

Valleyfair is my home park and I love it a lot but there definitely needs to be an expansion. I think I’ve heard they got lots of land to work with it’s just about what to put in there. People have been asking for an inverted coaster and they teased us with one that turned out to be fake. Not a multi day park by any means but it’s a great starter park for young thrill seekers cause only one of the coasters goes upside down while the others provide speed. A lot of the layout problems are because of the park's age and them trying to work around what was done in the past. The High Roller, for example, has been there for as long as I can remember and I'm in my 40's - so it long pre dates the Snoopy area and probably explains why the entrance to the coaster seems misplaced.

This is my home park, and it sucks because we haven't gotten a new proper roller coaster since Renegade in 2007. My favorite ride here is actually still Steel Venom - it's I think one of the only impulses that still has the holding brake, and I've always been a fan of launches, so this being the only one at the park, it gets the most attention from me.
Still, I really wish we could get, like, a B&M invert or something. That would be a really fitting coaster I think, since our only inverting ride at the moment is Corkscrew which... I mean, it's an Arrow Corkscrew, there really isn't much value there. I'd take pretty much anything at this point though.

I just went here for the first time in late July and I will agree with pretty much everything you mentioned here. My only little complaints were that ride ops weren't the greatest on my visit and a couple coasters went down for maintenance multiple times, but I still got all the credits. Despite not having the most stellar coaster coaster, I walked away feeling like I had a fantastic time visiting. So much charm. On top of that, I hit Mall of America and Arnold's Park the following day before returning home, so naturally I made a 3 Parks in 2 Days Vlog and also showed off the food I ate at Portillo's that first night.

It’s clear cedar fair does care about this park as before covid they had been adding lots of flat rides to the is park like the Larson loop, star flyer, flying scooters, mega disko and so on but I don’t think the parks attendance justifies a new 20 million dollar coaster

I think they could probably do something much easier and cheaper than building an entire new major coaster, they should just get Chance-Morgan back in to reprofile Wild Thing to give it better speed and more airtime, turn that into a standout coaster rather than spend all the money developing a new one and using up space.
