And secondly, Etihad is definitelly in top 7 atmospheres in PL, unless you believe myths about Emptyhad. On Derby day against top 6 7 teams Etihad is for sure buzzing. Many players said etihad is hardest place to go.

Just pure recency bias. Everyone in football rates Scholes in particular very highly, even Pep. 11 prem titles and was instrumental in practically all of them, even coming out of retirement at 38 to win his last league title.
KDB might have the longevity to surpass Scholes, but rn he clears.
@@jordanastro4694 Scholes was never voted player of the season by his peers in the premier league. So he was never rated as highly as De Bruyne is, recency bias or no. With the boomers, nostalgia bias is a bigger problem than recency bias.

Yeah I mean Henry and KDB are top 3 for sure. But can’t pretend that CR7 isn’t one of the greatest to ever play in the premier league aswell, might even be the greatest of all of them though that’s debatable. They’re top three in my opinion with players like Suarez and Salah just behind them.

It's about opinion on greatness, and is that swayed by number of games or greatness over time? Hard to say and specific to each person and their own parameters probably.

KDB is Man City's biggest impact player. Gerrard, Scholes, Lampard, Henry's had that level of impact for their teams. For sure he's among them, but we'll need to have the debate of the absolute best among them after he's hung up his boots in the PL .
Paul Scholes won no club player of the year for his own club. As special as Scholes was, I struggle to see how he was better than Gerrard and Lampard

Gerrard is a complete player. He was quick, strong, aggressive. He can tackle, he can play defence, he can be creative, be a playmaker, he can be dangerous with short passes in the final third or long passes from deep like Pirlo, can assist with through balls, switch with diagonal balls, shoot from long range, finish one on ones, score winners, score headers. He was an all action hero. And I am an Arsenal fan.

Nowhere near. Gerrard and Scholes are still clear. Lampard persoanlly I put de Bruyne above him. But Gerrard and Scholes at times played in poor teams, Gerrard especially. De Bruyne has been surrounded with nothing but luxury.

KDB by a long way now. He’s just that good, you could see it first game back from injury subbed on and the whole mood of the stadium, and the pub I was in changed because we just knew he’d do something. Didn’t expect him to do it twice though

If people don't rate Gerrard why is it he's always the first one they compare him to when it comes to comparing other midfielders? For example let's say Odegaard becomes world class and does it for the next 5-8 years, you just know they're gonna compare him to Gerrard.

He’s probably the best in his era but I still considered this modern era really weak as compared to when Keane, Vieira, Scholes or later with Gerrard, Lampard, Carrick run the midfield. Not only that but the number of quality CBs has dropped significantly not only in EPL but also in other league as well.
Has the CB quality dropped? Or have teams focused on attack more leaving CBs on an island to defend on their own?
The issue is these players cant run for 90 minutes putting in tackles placing passes. Back in the day the CBs were the most energetic, strongest, best passers, would score 13 headers a season, always outpaced the opposition striker and never conceded a corner.@@russellward4624

Gerrard from 20 to 37 was unbelievable and could do absolutely everything. KDB started being the best midfielder at 25, in the best assembled squad ever in PL history with the best possession based manager of all time.
Put Gerrard, Scholes, Beckham (played in the middle at Real) even Veron, in that team who have 70 plus possession in almost every game… With full backs that bomb on and a high line….
You would have to add 100 plus assists to Gerrard, Scholes and Becks… and another x50 goals… The stats in a City team under Guardiola are so massively misleading it’s ridiculous…
KDB is a fantastic player… He was just subbed after 70 min vs Liverpool…. Never once saw Gerrard get dragged.
The only areas KDB is better than Gerrard is Vision and through balls. Passing is very close…
Everything else Gerrard is better… Not to mention in big moments in big games…
We also now get to see every minute of football, with everything analysed and sensationalised and spread via social media… We didn’t have that amount of visibility or volume big ups from pundits like we do today…
