In the remastered version in Los Santos one of the tallest buildings become orange that could be something to include in your part two as it gives the game a weird and distasteful look sometimes
I have the mobile (ios) version and if I’m in a train, quit the game and then reload the game with the resume button, the game always puts me into the train tunnel in Las Venturas. That way you can easily go to LV and SF early on in the game.

Rockstar should've hired modders instead of war drum studios to remaster this game
Spitting facts. Russian modders essentially break the game, they know most of the game inside out, they'd definitely would've done a better job.
On second thought, I think modders should stay away from Rockstar and Take 2 as a company, as they had been taking down mods for legacy GTA games and GTA 5.

Now that the definitive edition has been released Groove Street Games (previously named WarDrum Studios) revealed that they did indeed used artifacts and AI up-scaling to remaster the textures of the games, that explains a lot.

It was the only way they could feasibly "remaster" the game as per Rockstars request with the budget and time given. This is on Rockstar for forcing them to rush it and giving them no help with it whatsoever.

How is this possible that CJ swims much slower in the remastered version? And does it apply to swimming underwater too? And, another question. Does CJ run much slower as well?

And to add insult to injury,if you want to play the original,non fucked up beyond any recognition version of San Andreas on an Xbox console,your best bet is to play the original Xbox game disc on the original Xbox. If you want to play it on say the 360 or the xbone, it will not play it. I've tried it, doesn't work. No way to bypass it.

Well the Sonic modding community had a major part in making one of the best Sonic games ever so you're not wrong at all, War Drum Studios just fucking blows and if there'll ever be classic GTA games on the Switch either they A. actually fix the games or B. (preferable) get another dev to do it or just have Rockstar do it in-house

Happens to all remakes. Always go for period correct hardware and tv and original version of game. Otherwise you will have a broken, sub par experience as it wasn't intended
this game is good. though i play ps3 and ipad i never had any issues. though back on ps2 around 2009 when i still had san andreas and a ps2 my game would freeze and act weird but that was only because of the disc was scratched. xbox disc arent as stable as ps3 disc. xbox had dvds while ps3 had blueray.

The original ps2 version had a beautiful golden/orange tint which made the game feel homely at evening time
Fun fact: this tint only occurs in Los Santos. It's supposed to be smog. I love it, because it helps Los Santos have a different atmosphere from the other cities. Sadly, this fog isn't present in the PC version either. The ultimate versions of this game are the PS2 and Xbox releases. It pisses me off that so many people are introduced to the game through the inferior versions...

In South America back in the day where piracy was rampant during the PS2 era, almost everyone that I knew had two copies of SA due being a demanding game and it was so easy for a pirated DVD to be scratched and being either bugged or unplayable lol

I feel like War Drum Studios was in a serious rush to get the initial 360 version out for the game's 10th anniversary. That's about the only legitimate excuse I can think of for why it's so broken and feels unfinished, but then it's too bad that there was never an effort to try to fix all of the problems afterwards, either. I think they were really pressed by Take Two and got told about it a second before the release date. And then they didn't get an option to update (most likely dev kits were taken back).

I hated how in the "remastered" version there was no tall grass.
Holy shit same. Almost nobody ever complains about this and it's so, so bad. No tall grass, no baby trees, no cacti. So much vegetation gone. I had fun just going in the desert chopping cacti down with my knife or chainsawing small trees down. Can't do that no more.

I guess it was ok to remove these for the mobile port. I mean GTA SA mobile was released in 2014, and I think it was a smart move to optimize the game for the phones at the time. But now I see they just left it like this on actual console versions. It's just like... they just didn't care. At all.
And this is why I refuse to buy the trilogy. The lack of gameplay footage is worrying.

Modders can make all games better, i remember replaying this game with mods and was awesome, mix it with huge nostalgia and you have the best playthrough ever 😏👍.

i dont see any problem with borderlands remastered version but blind squirrel did a horrible port and that is bioshock 1 and 2 remastered on pc completly unplayable cause when starting a new game it will crash

Looking away from bugs and glitchy animations, I think the original is easier on the eyes than the remastered. Perhaps the graphics are better in the remastered, but it's too damn glossy for me. It looks like everything was dipped in grease. It's too distracting and doesn't really fit. The original, while by todays standards have poor graphics, are at least more timeless and stylised
Agreed , that's the ONLY thing I'll give credit too when it comes to the remastered version , tho the graphics in SA didn't look so bad etheir besides it being in 3D

@@drifter402 I get where you're coming from, but I don't want to imply that all remasters are bad. Spyro Reignited kept the style unlike Crash, Modern Warfare Remastered made the game look better and Dead Rising Remastered didn't mess with the style at all but just brought Widescreen support, 4K resolution and better textures. I'm sure there are more games, but it's just so sad to see what happened to one of the greatest games on the PS2. Wish it got more love from Rockstar
Modern Warfare remastered had microtransactions, less maps and goofy menus. So yea they messed up that one. Also Spyro Reignited is ugly as hell and the new voice recordings don't do it justice. Crash also added new bugs but also the style is not the same at all. The original was jagged and cartoony while the new one is smooth and been fed through this disgusting realistic lighting engine.
