  • The state of big budget games, loot boxes, a lot is discussed here. Apologies for recent inactivity, but my internet connection at home was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad lately.

    I was a big Dead Space fan, a big Mass Effect fan, even to some extent a Mirror's Edge fan. I have not played an EA developed game since EA stopped developing those series - also didn't play Mass Effect Andromeda due to all the reports of it being a humongous mess. Yearly sports titles are repetitive and boring, and I don't care for Star Wars games. EA had 2 awesome scifi franchises and they killed them. You'd think in this era of digital content, improving the value of those IPs would have been essential to their business model - they were reasonably popular, but they could have made them even bigger. Just look at something like Mortal Kombat - it sells more copies now than ever.
