      @@brettbaker8357 could you help me with the hand he played yesterday, please, when he folded ace black and king of hearts. The flop was 9 or below with 2 hearts. He said the other guy can't have a flush. Why is that? Because Daniel had the king - was it unlikely he would have the ace or he would not play a possible flush the way he did. Daniel tried to say something about it but I'm thick. Any help would be appreciated - thank you.

    • @brettbaker8357
      @brettbaker8357 Před 6 dny +3

      he can’t have a flush because you need 5 su ited cards and there were only 2 on the table.
      He bet in early position after the turn, betting ~9 big blind about 2/3rds pot. This would indicate he either has a strong hand (like trips or 2 pairs) OR he could be betting a flush draw.
      Daniel would want him to be betting with 2 hearts because those “drawing Hands” that MISSED the river are the only hands he Beats. There are like 15-20 combos of strong suited hearts that would possibly be strong here and another 10-20 possible heart hands that are weak.
      All the A♥️ combos (9 possible combos - after eliminating the K, 9 & 2)
      + Q♥️ (6 possible - disregard crap like Q4 hearts which will be folded)
      + J♥️ (5 possible)
      + T8♥️/ 78♥️/67♥️/56♥️ etc. etc. maybe 5-10 more combos)
      Most likely hands opponent has are:
      All Ace heart combos besides AQ/AJ/9/2 (7 total)
      QJ♥️ J10♥️ 78♥️ 67♥️+ Q10/J9 (6 total)
      + a couple random hearts combos, like T8 or 86h etc. you could add a few more to total and round up to 15 - 20 possible combos.
      Anything better like AQ suited hearts is probably raising pre flop but is still possible, just less likely.
      With the King not in our hand there are 25 combos we beat, without it only 15.
      You see why it’s important or do you need me to break down how you calculate combos?
      So Daniel having that king ♥️ heart so important bc it takes away a huge chunk of hands you would want your opponent to have
      The other drawing hands he could have that MISSED are T7 or TJ etc things like that.
      The opponent is BETTING STRONG ON THE TURN which indicates he is drawing for a strong hand (a straight or flush) or has something like trips.
      If Daniel didn’t have a king of hearts it would be significantly MORE likely the opponent was drawing towards a flush snd missing it on the river, going all in as a bluff .
      The fact he went all in on the river after a strong turn bet indicates he has a strong hand and when you do the math it is more likely Daniel is BEAT than it is that he is being bluffed which leads to the fold being the best play.

  • @FPVSkittles
    @FPVSkittles Před 6 dny +39

    Tip on beat saver - I’m not an expert but I’ve played a bunch and I believe the key to getting a top high score is to cut the boxes with as wide of a swipe as possible. Also try to keep your multiplier streak going as long as possible and try to chop the blocks in half as evenly as possible of course but a wide swipe motion is the key to more points per box. It does not matter at all how “hard” or fast you swing your arm, flicking your wrist is the worst because it makes your swing very short. You want as long and big of a sweep as possible - it will feel weird at first like your using your whole arm unnecessarily but that seems to give me my best scores. Hope that helps you catch your wife’s score.

    • @danyee4668
      @danyee4668 Před 6 dny +8

      This is all great advice and to add to it also the timing of when you hit the boxes is super important, on some of the stages if you look down you can see a white box around you, try to hit the box just as it enters the white box, to me it always feels late but you will notice if you've timed it perfectly the score that comes up when you hit the box will be underlined. Hope this makes sense! Love the vlogs dnegs thank you sir!

  • @yoniker83
    @yoniker83 Před 5 dny +3

    9:39 DNegs, It's not a foolish theoretical laydown. First look at what hands the solver does 3-bet all in on the river. Now ask yourself if the human who gave you a walk 3 times would do that. Also, what's the range of that tight person when action is XBCXX and he bet the river? He doesn't have many T high flushes, as probably he doesn't open T7s,leaving us with T9s,T8s. We can discard most sets combos as he was passive,and just a few combos of straights, which we can discount as he checked the turn (87s). So his range consists of many flushes which beat us, a few flushes which we beat,and tiny fractions of sets straights and overpairs. And that's when he bet the river. So in my view it's a clear call, not a raise. Once you raise and he shoves, his range is almost exclusively hands that beat us. You don't even need nodelock for that. It's a clear theoretical (!) fold. To anyone who is going to write "wtf,some rando guy educates DNegs,one of the best players in the world?", yeah, I'm aware that DNegs is one of the best players in the world who is working hard on his game, but even the best might make mistakes, and if we're not open to openly discuss hands in a logical way and take what the best say as granted, and we can't think for ourselves, how are we different than people who accepted religious blindly? Also, I do intend to become a good poker player some day :)

Since it was a $600 tourney, that made it easier to make the decision to call? Just curious if that goes into your thought process at all?

You can’t just hit them the game also take into about the accuracy off slicing them in half and your wrist to follow through on the cut. This is why Amanda does well. Dnegs, your score is based on how wide you swing your saber. How hard you hit makes no difference, and flipping your wrist for speed will reduce your score because you are limiting your motion. You have to swing your entire arm for maximum score when cutting the cube. As well as make sure slice goes thru center of block

    I enjoyed sharing a table at the WSOP 5 times from 2009-12. My cash rate at the WSOP was 30% but no big scores. Twice in the top 100 in 3000 player fields but two outed for huge stack on the river. I did win a Caesar's event with 460 players. When Phil wad steaming because he did not modify his game to account for Internet and European players we went to dinner and I explained to him the any two cards scenario and 3 gappers. He thought it was nuts but he adapted

    Not questioning your play (clearly I’m not a professional), but if you “know” he has you beat, why would you call any amount, even if you only had 1 chip left?

    Beat Master: Did you consider stepping forward? Instead of standing at the back of your box, stand to the front. Maybe you score more points with a shorter reaction time. Just to be clear, I have NEVER played the game, but Amanda seemed further forward than you in the videos shown.

    I feel like u can get away from the jack high flush. Calling the river also seems reasonable. Raising seemed like the worst option.

    • @jssjss721
      @jssjss721 Před 6 dny

      I concur. Seems less variance to call with the mid flush hand 2. Unfortunate cooler. If anything can be learned, maybe less variance to call with a mid flush facing passive player (multiple walks) that wakes up on flush-completing river.

    To get a better score in beat saber you need to do strong swift strokes. It gives more points when you put power!

    I think it would be a fun idea if you tracked when you made really smart decisions, the opposite of the oopsie tracker. Would be a great way to get some positive reinforcement

    I can't believe they're letting players slow down the game for their vlogs . It has enough delays when you're not playing every hand.
