Adenoid problems are very common in children. It can be adenoid hypertrophy in which there is only enlargement of adenoids or it can be infection such as adenoiditis / adenotonsillitis. It results in mouth breathing, noisy breathing or snoring while sleeping. Finally it can lead to teeth malocclusion, sinusitis or recurrent ear infection. Child may have foul smelling breath.
