    you can message the work coach via the UC login in and request to re do specific months income amounts and briefly explain why and if they do not allow you to re write your figures for each month, then put in a formal complaint. Yes its designed to confuse on purpose. jumping through hoops - and it can be humiliating too, that's all part of knocking a claimant's morale - good luck and keep us informed

    Hiya Claudia im about to start a New Style JSA claim which i believe lasts 6 months and then my State pension kicks in in reality dont think someone who is nearly 66 would get taken on for work as just done 10 years in same job and only had 4 jobs since the 1970's.
    listening to you compiling paperwork my stuff is all on PDF format like Bank Statements, Utility bills, and even my recent P45 and wages slips are PDF.
    I would think organisations like DWP & HMRC can see the information cross reference like i can on my HMRC Gateway account.
    Claudia if you downloaded that info onto a memory stick and take it along to DWP would that be ok?
    Good luck i will watch your updates with interest.

    Kind of the same with self assessment , there’s no itemisation of income or expenses - the only deterrent to fraud Is the threat of possible investigation !

  • @peterpiper6837
    @peterpiper6837 Před 8 dny +2

    they are absolutely useless, i work there. SE work coaches are so rushed off their feet that all they will do is have a glance through your evidence, agree, and then reset all of the 'report income and expense' to-do's from the first assessment period, the to-do's will appear in your to-do list for you to complete all over again, (minus the agreed interest expense). If they don't agree, you ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration. Honestly, this country.

    • @workinprogresssince1974
      @workinprogresssince1974  Před 7 dny

      Any new universal claim from experience will see you get another review to see if you're going to be put in the limited support group, it's not going to be like ESA where they don't bother you , they want nearly everyone to think about work, disabled, sick etc doesn't matter your age either.
      It's already started since Conservative a few months ago want to make big changes, it's already happening.

  • @j.d.9848
    @j.d.9848 Před 8 dny

    You have wrongly declared £1600 as your income. You won't get back that money because you hadn't paid it.
    It was counted as your business income therefore it reduced your entitlement by taper rate, meaning your overall payment was cut by 55% of that, i.e. by £880. That much you lost because you provided higher income.
    When you input your income into the box it clearly says: how much was your takings from the business so why you were confused and by what I don't get it as for me it's crystal clear (granted, we all are different though).
    As for vouchers, it's irrelevant the way you are getting paid. You definitely cannot avoid tax because you got Tesco voucher or Amazon one or whatever. Nectar points also bear nominal value of 0.5p but you probably can easily get away with that one unless survey company provide earnings reports to HMRC (ask them). But generally speaking, vouchers are pounds, just not Sterling but Tesco, Morrison's, Amazon, etc
    As for Coffee, you provide the money you received from people as income. Then in costs section you add new line called PayPal fees. You shouldn't deduct PayPal fees from payments as those are two separate things.
    Good luck
