    Great tip. You almost have me inspired enough to ls swap my 69 c10. It is a manual so I was eyeballing the lokar tail mounted floor shifter. I would love to see a full video on a 69 to 72 c10 like Emily's. Every detail. The radiator, maybe power steering box swap, fuel system and guage connection. Every step in detail for a first timer is appreciated. I have a 5.3/4l60 with harness and accessories, 160k for $1700 lined up. I can't believe your CZcams channel hasn't blown up yet with all the c10 fans. Its one of the better channels for folks on a budget that will do the work themselves. I will spread the word in MN for you. Like seeing the dog too. Thanks

    Does the linkage need a little play in it (the part that has the spring and connects to the C bracket on the trans)? Mine doesn’t slide back in forth and won’t completely shift in to park.

    • @UglyTruckExperience
      @UglyTruckExperience  Před rokem +1

      Yes, it should slide back and forth a little bit. You don't want a ton of play, maybe 1/8 inch of movement. You also want to make sure that piece is straight perpendicular to the trans. If the angle is off, it could also cause it to bind up like that. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching! --Emily

      If you're needing the bracket that's attached to the frame rail, I believe it's called a shifter cross link bracket, or shifter cross shaft bracket. You'll probably have to go to a salvage yard or Ebay for an exact replacement. But it looks like OPGI has replacement brackets for A-bodies, which should work with some modifications. Here's a link to those... Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
