It’s what Tal said “When you’re at the top there’s only one way to go . . . and that’s down.” But Anand is always the gentleman both on and off the board and a credit to humility AND humanity.
It’s amazing how anand even though that he is a former world champion, he kept talking with dubov after finishing the game and discussing the game in a very civilized manner. A clear contrast to how other chess players just storm off after defeat or hit their fists on the table.

That was actually okay, I think. It's only when Anand tried to win the pawn by taking with the knight. The rook exchange made the queen move, therefore not protecting his own knight. It was quite a complicated sac and follow-up there. Dubov is pretty quick in those kinds of positions.
@@fabricedesdieux1820 it's generally a bad idea to get king as a defender of minor piece.in this case king itself gets pinned due to bishop on b2 and it is a bad idea to keep defending knight on f6
Dubov played great against Magnus and Nakamura but lost here he won and hope he will face a lot of great chess players and win in future as he is young and still progressing
If you can win Anand hands down than its obvious that you are about to become No1 sooner or later however what is even more exceptional than a great win at chess is Anand's behaviour towards all opponents all these years-he is a beautiful human being and that is a variant no one can beat !
Me encanta el juego de Dubob, y creo que es un chico con valores, la conversación que tienen los dos sobre la partida, hace ver que lo primero es la persona incluso antes que el resultado
The knight on f6 was pinned by bishop on B2. And there was also white knight on g4. So there was 2 white pieces which controlled f6. That's how the knight on f6 has been taken. He moved his king because of following check by queen and very good position for white with the same capture of black knight.
What a player is Dubov; those brilliant sacs and all his moves revel a pretty deep understanding of dynamic positions. No wonder he's an admirer of the style of Mikhail Tal. He made Anand look like an amateur.
How is he surprised? More like terrified. He knows Dubov will eventually win his knight back with his pin on f6. White then has much better play as we saw.
That sort of chess videos is the best.
No comments, no commentators, no music, no cuts.
Just the clear game and the players faces.
Clever job. Thanks.

Does anyone else like it when players talk?
i do
Yepp shows that chess has alot of sportsmanship and is a mature man's game. Kinda wholesome too
4:51 dubov "you kidding, right?" :D
What was the combination if Qd8 protecting the knight? Qh6+ Kg8?? and then?
It’s amazing how anand even though that he is a former world champion, he kept talking with dubov after finishing the game and discussing the game in a very civilized manner. A clear contrast to how other chess players just storm off after defeat or hit their fists on the table.
Dubov won the game.... three time World Champion Anand won the heart by his modesty who has initiated chat
Anish Agarwal But Anand resigned 😑
5 times
Anand is a real gentleman....
Uhhh get your facts straight Neptune "India". It's 5, not 3.
No he didn't, it's a game of chess, not chatting

I played against Dubov in 2012 when he was almost a kid but anyway an experienced master, I survived till the endgame but finally blundered.
Imagine, I played against him in 2010 when we both were 14. Kind of surreal to see how far he has come since then.
I played against anand and won...
In my dreams 🤣🤣🤣
what a great kind guy Anand is
I like when Anand does that 😄hangs around and chats after the game
A fine showing of true sportsmanship from both players. Nice win for Dubov eventually. This is why I love this game so much
every person has it's own choice. But, Anand is still Lion Of Chess
Sorry. Why did anand stop game
Akku Sha Anand resigned the game since he was losing.
Kartik Kesari cat killed lion
Think you mean The Indian Tiger
He is 52 yo and still very high in ranking
My favorite player Anand. Brilliant early sacrifice by Dubov
Amazing tactical win. Dubov will be a terror soon!
World Rapid Champion.
Lucifer R he’s world rapid champion ya dolt
Yup, he already is; Beating Magnus...
Best queen sac and romantic attack game 2020 against Sergey Karjakin.

At the end:
"Phus phus phus kus kus kus kus check check check"
Lol
Que buen homenaje a Tal con este joven que sacrifica elegantemente.... Excelente!!
Wow! What an attacking game by Dubov!
Refreshing to such videos without any commentaries.
Players' body language up close!
Игра Дубова завораживает. Не тушуется перед признанными авторитетами, смело жертвует!
Gentleman Anand. One of best ever and so modest.
Anand is such a class act in defeat per usual in the post-mortem.
Brilliant Knight sac by Dubov... From there the game became rather one-sided.

great game! battle between two great minds playing with determination to win the game..

Anand feel simple at start as he didnt played with Dubov before. But finally he comes to know how dangerous Dubov was.
Great game by Dubov… that’s why I love his gaming style so much…. so beautiful
3:37 is brilliant...

@@fabricedesdieux1820 it's generally a bad idea to get king as a defender of minor piece.in this case king itself gets pinned due to bishop on b2 and it is a bad idea to keep defending knight on f6

Hai ragione amico mio, è veramente strano...ma bello allo stesso tempo. Viva gli scacchi!! Forza Ancona!!
I love how they talk about game afterwards!
I really wanted to know what they were talking about.
Football
Dubov always have different games than the other player he playing like carlsen i like it
He doesn’t play like Carlsen at all. Carlsen likes to win from equal endgames. Dubov plays for complications and imaginative attacks like Tal
wuau que masacre!! me encanta el estilo de Dubov. Brillante
Ezequiel Silva dddeeeeed
What was that handshake lol I don’t get it in chess
Dubov getting better and better.

Why did anand stop the game. I don't understand
The facial expressions are too good!
Dubov is really good. A very very interesting opponent
THIS IS WHY I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH....LOL,LOL THE BEATY OF CHESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
Can any one tell me what they discuss after match’s over
To be a fly on the wall when Anand talks after matches
What does Anand says in the end? "I shouldn't take on ..."?
I guess it's: "I should have taken with the bishop". I guess he's referring when white plays d4, axb4 and Nxb4. Instead, he suggests Bxb4.
Can explain me how did the knight on f6 fall. And why anand sir moved his king.
The knight on f6 was pinned by bishop on B2. And there was also white knight on g4. So there was 2 white pieces which controlled f6. That's how the knight on f6 has been taken.
He moved his king because of following check by queen and very good position for white with the same capture of black knight.

Who won??
Славный Скальп для Дани! Красавчик! И.. что за часы у Ананда? ))
I believe that Dubov should be the next to challenge the title of world champion to Magnus carlsen.
António Viriato Ferreira your crazy Ding L should be!!!!
they did n magnus won
I think so too, but until he breaks with his team of analysts that will not happen.
Yeah, he even beat hikaru recently
I do agree
Who won the game ?
