- Warren and Sherri Crockett were married on June 1, 1994. At first, the couple kept their early relationship a secret. In fact, most of Sherri's immediate family did not know about Warren until after she was married.
This beautiful and sad at the same time, how can you love someone but live in fear of expressing your love in public due to bigoted people. I'm happy they're still together. Love is love.

Well first of all, do not tell to ''stop saying...". I live in a free nation and we can say what we want. Of course I know if a black couple have a kid, the kid is black and rightly so. If a black and white have a kid, that kid is mixed race and not black. All I'm saying is that here in Europe the incidence of black/white marriage is far higher than black/black marriages, especially among Black people from the Dutch/French/English Caribbean. Africans tend to marry each other and I think that alot to do with their ethnic traditions.

True, the only issue is warning people who blindly believe stereotypes that they can change someone they love who only use them. Over half of relationships end wrong leaving someone suffering. I love how they did everything they could to protect their relationship. Keeping it away from family and the public kept their relationship safe. A lack of acceptance from the community you're a part of will have a detrimental effect on your mental health. That could affect the relationship and even break it up. My family have had interracial marriges since the 1850s and we have had no major problems with discrimination here in New Zealand ... so it comes as a shock that the widespread acceptance of interracial relationships are still relatively new to America

Finally, I see no reason why you should feel entitled to boast of belonging to 'white culture'. I’m in an interracial relationship (in 2017) and my boyfriend and I went to a fundraiser in our small town and were asked to leave. Even though everyone knew (at that point) we had been together for 1 year. I can’t imagine having to hide it.

My Uncle Dave married a black lady in 1973 in Louisiana. They remained married till he passed away. So they had a very long marriage. They say the more diverse the d.n.a., the stronger the children. This couple has the most beautiful children. Lovely
My best friend has a black boyfriend and she says he treats her like a queen unlike the white guys who threaten to leave you if you don't give them what they want sexually. Most races idolise white women, even a Chinese girl in my class talks about my blue eyes and pale skin constantly. I feel sorry for other races lol but I would like to try a black guy too!

I am also a tactical security consultant and personal safety expert and so, I constantly worry about some these people who strike out at others simply because of superficial reasons. This is so Important to consider for your wives, girlfriends and children if, you have the responsibility of providing a safe environment for them.
We are in fact a micro-minority in a time when idiots are brewing false racial and sectarian tensions among neighbors. It is really sad.

My parents are an interracial couple who married in 1978 in the south. They faced hardships I couldn't imagine dealing with and had a very successful 30 year marriage.

To each his own but I was born in the 50s and for the most part interracial marriages was not really the thing almost like unheard of but if I were born in the 80s I probably would have been subjected to interracial relationships. But in my letter years I started to levitate toward religion and spirituality and that took me toward biblical literature and actually I'm glad I didn't get involved in interracial marriages and relationships, in my studies and research it directed me to scriptures and it says that I am in a lineage that connect me to a royal priesthood a special people the chosen people and I should never mix and it is stated in every ancient and modern text pertaining to the words of the creator, so I'm comfortable in Mind and Spirit so any conscience decision that I make to obey his laws decrees and commands there's no flaw in the conscious decision to keeping the lineage of the bloodline a royal priesthood
The last time I checked, love is love and people are people so no matter who you love as long as its a person......that's a blessing.
If you read that sentence again, you will see that there is no space for COLOUR. What really messes things up is the quality of EDUCATION about people and life that SOME people give and get as they grow. That's my view.

We got married in 1981 in Miami. I’m white my beautiful wife of 41 years is black. My parents to say the least where not happy. My future in-laws always welcomed me. White Management at my place of work were displeased. Dating were some of my happiest memories, except when black guys would get mad and give us there unsolicited hate speech. I don’t recall ever having white guys say anything derogatory. As a matter of fact once I was in an accident and the young officer that was white mention how beautiful my girlfriend was. When we got married we went to the Courthouse in downtown. The black lady Clarke was not happy that we were getting married. When I rented our first apartment the owner, a Jewish lady was very kind. I told her my wife would be coming the following day to bring a few things in. When she saw my wife she gave her the money back and said we couldn’t live there. That was the first time I was really upset, we contacted an agency to help, they interviewed us and reached out to the woman and she referred them to her attorney the attorney said I threatened her life, That was a lie and we decided not to pursue it because if we got the apartment perhaps our car windshield would smashed or some other vandalism. We had a friend whose husband was black and she recommended when looking for an apartment to tell them “my wife is black will that be an issue?” I got hung up on multiple times or they got tongue twisted or they just simply said “my tenants would not appreciate that”. Finally found an apartment with the manager and his wife living there. they were 100% redneck, beard, dog, pickup truck I knew i was going to get shoot but they were the nicest people on the planet they loved us being there for 5 years. which helped me appreciate you can’t judge a book by its cover. We have many friends of many nationalities which enrich our lives. I believe the more culture you expose yourself to the better your life. Also the foundation to our long lasting happy life has been our faith and the community that is deeply part of. I just want to say, if you are in an interracial marriage and you find someone looking don’t immediately think they disapprove, I sometimes look because I think it’s a beautiful thing and it brings a smile to my face
