- Boy Meets World stars Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong, William Daniels, Will Friedle and Bonnie Bartlett reunited on stage at Fan Expo Boston 2019 for a fun panel and Q&A session with their fans. They spoke about the original hit show and the spinoff/sequel Girl Meets World.
Boy Meets World has meant so much to so many people who grew up with this show. Ben Savage played Corey Matthews, Danielle Fishel played Topanga Lawrence, Rider Strong played Shawn Hunter, William Daniels played George (Mr.) Feeny, Will Friedle played Eric Matthews and Bonnie Bartlett played Dean Lila Bolander. Fans were thrilled to speak to the stars behind this epic show and the cast did not disappoint.

True. So weird they decided to write him out of the show. I wonder how they come to these conclusions that good characters should be scrapped from a show. Same thing happened with Ericas friends Jason from the first and second season.

I get what you are saying, Nes. When the show finished they were in their late teens-20's; now they are in their late 30's-early to mid 40's, and still look really good. They still look like they could be in their late 20's. It's probably a combination of things that preserved their youth. I think mainly, not cosmetically messing with their image and not "living hard", attributed to most of that preservation.
@@fiona9443 I mean, 30’s and 40’s only is an old age to like teens. Once mid 20’s like me you’ll view differently. I’ve met plenty of people looking same age in their mid 30’s to me or my friends in 20’s etc. it’s not uncommon, since still fairly young
@@fiona9443 lmao late 20’s! Ben Savage(Cory) was 20, Ryder(Shawn) was about 21, and Will Friedle was the oldest and was about 23-24 when it ended. So, idk how you got the idea that they were in their late 20’s when it ended. Ben Savage was 13 when the show started and the show lasted 7 years.

@@jayjayh9801 yeah probably. I’m just going off of body language and other interviews. Could be what I said but maybe I’m wrong. But does it ever occur to you that they low key getting tired of being only known for bmw? And by then I mean rider and Will. You just gotta pick up on key words. I feel like they want to keep it at the past and move on but they have to please the fans.
@@FNSSEIOS I think they don’t really get along with Ben, and are just annoyed in general. Every time they do these Rider sits as far away from Ben as possible. The one time I saw him sitting next to Ben at one he looked VERY uncomfortable. They are brilliant actors because they really sold the bromance on tv!
I also get the impression that Ben doesn’t really want to be here…he seems bored. I’ve watched a few of these and he seems bored in all of them.
Ooh this is so nostalgic even if I was born four years after the show ended! BMW has everything we require in life. From quality humor to life lessons, I just love it!

They kind of forced it down our throats. This show and saved by the bell were like the only shows they overplayed during the 90s. This, family matters and full house coming in close.

Polla Bolla well the reason they canceled was because that generation had moved on to other things in life and so the new generation didn’t follow the story so that’s why they made girl meets world

Disney came to Michael Jacobs and asked him if they wanted to bring back BMW, and he declined (MJ said that in an interview about GMW). Personally, I don’t think Disney would be the right network to house BMW because now that everyone is grown, they could have more adult appropriate dialogue, and Disney wouldn’t be able to allow a lot of that.
I would watch “BMW Comes Back”, LOL. I’m their age, and I loved the show. I’m still waiting on them to bring back Saved By The Bell (with the original cast). 😉

There's an accent over the "e" which means that it is pronounced "ey". She pronounced it incorrectly.
Actually, it is pronounced both ways. In the UK it is pronounced, "for-tay", and in the US it is pronounced, "fort".

Omg I loved this ep! Its funny to hear them say they either don’t remember it or that filming it was awful cuz it had me dying. The group (mostly eric, shawn and cory) work together to help feeny woo his woman 😂 They even do a scene with godfather music at “the day of their bake sale” where eric goes to the like two experienced ones (cory and shawn) for help with the issue. Hahah their acting was great cuz I wouldn’t be able to tell that it wasn’t enjoyable to do those scenes !

"Bee"....as in bee's that fly around, make honey and sting you. I don't remember the episode either and i was a pretty hardcore fan.
The bee was the one that Feeny had a crush on the dean and her ex husband was some zoologist or something. Sean and Corey broke a jar in the research room and a bee got out. It landed on the Dean's neck and feeny grabbed it off her. :)

Yes! It's so obvious now that something was off. I met them in 2019 during one of the cons and I just thought that Ben was super shy and I was surprised. Knowing what's going on now, it's pretty clear the vibe was off and he didn't want to be there lol
