@samspry9452 so just like master mechanics take many tests through the A.S.E program, plumbers have their own aswell! It's really only for the sake of the customer, many plumbers can be just as good or experienced but without that certification you may not get the same amount of work.

Not a plumber, but have replaced many faucets for friends and family over many years. When they are looking for a new faucet, I tell them to pick out a DELTA that they like. Probably other strong brands out there but DELTA has proven to be the best I've worked with.
Yall see that white plastic with the screw going into it... it strips out with repeated use... ya looks like the other one u could at least use a screw driver to hob cob it???
I wish I would’ve took plumbing as a skill set in my 20’s.I started late at 39 and first year I made over 70,000 w/job another 12-15,000 on the side. At 42 I was locating burst pipes in the ground,excavation work.I made 3,000 first in ground side job,family tipped me a 100,I was low balling big jobs.It wasn’t so much the money,Plumbing started to be simple and so enjoyable.I loved being a plumber,Plumbers I love you all.I have spinal stenosis and it damaged my nerve roots.I can’t walk around much anymore your videos make me laugh and cry.I wish so bad that I could climb on an excavator and line up some jobs.

Order enough, they'll do runs in their factories to your specs with your name on it. Lamb Weston makes potato products for KFC, McDonald's, market chains, etc. I've been there when they've set up for one company making one product with one label to KFCs specs. Like everything else, plumbing products manufacturers were swallowed up by giant companies. Home Depot sells lots of designed to fail trash at very high markups.

I had an incident where I had a water meter fitted by the water company. After I found that two of the toilets wouldn't shut off and neither would the downstairs shower. Called the plumber and it turned out to be grit had gotten into the system when the meter was fitted. The plumber complained about the quality of the water meter installation and the general quality of the plumbing on both showers. He was lost for words when I told him both showers were installed by his son!😂
You made me feel like an absolute moron when you used the handle of the channel locks to install the shower arm. So simple yet so effective. I’m not a plumber, but I’ve definitely messed up more than a couple shower arms even when using absolute care installing them.
Nick. That's a easy fix. Find the directions online but basically, you just have to rotate the cartridge. A good cartridge shower assembly is made to be reversible and used on either side of the originally vertical plumbing water lines.

Condensation? The pipes are copper. If their is Condensation it will be on the outside of the pipes and by not siliconing the bottom, will do nothing for draining imaginary condensation. When you cut a hoke that big, you need to seal it up good.

As a guy who does plumbing on a very large 180 unit multi story building, don't caulk the bottom under the valve escutcheon. Yeah, I know you tickled it with that little red tube, but that's not gonna cut it.

My new house has one of those fancy shower valve and its backwards. Hot is cold, cold is hot. It was a learning curve

I never seal the bottoms with silicone because condensation needs to get out. I pretty much use this practice on all my construction projects.
Maybe im wrong but it looks like he pokes through the bottom of the silicon after he puts the plate on

Smart fernco trick and most plumbers wouldn’t even care about flushing the valve out but that’s what separates a hero from a zero.
