It is really good to see the generations of your family working together. For me, it was 52 years ago that Granddad could no longer work the farm, because of failing health, here in Southwest Oklahoma, and my Dad went immediately from farming to Heaven 16 1/2 years ago. Lots of great memories of Granddad, my Dad, and us boys working together. My 91 year old Mom and I continue the farming est 1908 by Great Granddad's move from the Indiana farm to the new farm in the Great New State of Oklahoma! GOD Bless yalls time together!

We started corn on Friday here in southern Michigan. Our 102 day corn is running at 22 percent and 180 to 200 bushels so far . We planted about 3 weeks earlier than normal this spring . We might switch the combines over to soybeans mid next week while we wait for more corn to dry . The good thing about harvesting early is we can get tillage done and plant more winter wheat. Great video keep up the good work and stay safe !

We blew out a hydrostat going up a hill in the combine going across a town to get to some fields. Brakes didn't work lol. Bine ended up rolling backwards and going sideways in the road and into side of embankment. Luckily no one was smashed in a car or combine turn over. We did fall through a bridge once and front hub broke off once moving to another field on the highway. Tore up the ladder, clean grain elevator and a bunch of other stuff on left side of combine. Not to mention the huge gouge in the pavement lol. Fun times

Hey, I’ve got a Maximizer you can demo!
    Seriously though, the X9 1100
Is great. I invest in equipment to lease out to a custom harvester who operates 85 combines. You can’t put a dent in the harvesting potential of the machine. You run out of forward speed 1st.
A 790 will run as fast as you can practically drive forward in 300 bushel corn. An X-9 would do the same while doing 4 more rows. It’s a game changer. He’s going to scale back machines and they can’t get operators as it is.

I do see a difference in Test Weight & Moisture almost every year. Since with the exception of equipment it’s not costing anything extra we just use it every year, my 2 cents.

Was wandering what would be your average speed on the combine? We cut wheat and Garbanzo beans with a 9240 45ft Macdon header. I have never cut corn or have anything yield like that. We had your best year last year 140 bu wheat. This year in a drought 70 bu or lower yields. That is why you take averages? Have a save harvest.

It’s always a struggle the first few days of harvest. You can always prep things and little items show up those first few days. Hopefully y’all have worked all the bugs out and the rest of the harvest is yielding good like that first dry land field. Corn is drying down here and should be defoliating cotton at the end of the month. It will be some long hours coming up soon.
