- Pair of brand new Peed Equipment 657G scrapers hitting the dirt for the very first time after being assembled at the CAT factory. These are 2 of the 4 657G scrapers purchases by Peed, the very last 4 of the 657"G" series.

A rare treat seeing two such expensive machines touching dirt for the first time.
I miss running heavy equipment. Born n grew up in the industry of building roads with my brothers n my dad .GENE NORTON AND SONS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY. RIP dad.
I love the 657G, how can that even feel like work when it looks so peaceful and calm in that cab. No drama, politics, nothing, just you in the driverseat doing a hard earned day of work.
Nothing like the feel of a new scraper. All the joints and stress points are tight, no creaking, all the electronics and hydraulics work properly. You almost don't want to get it dirty.
Been along time since I've been on a dirt spread. Brings back memories.
Fellas... this is one of the best videos I have ever seen. The cab view is clear. The drone did a fantastic job. Here in the South we use farm tractors with single, double, even triple dirtpans. Great video
What tractors do u use
Case quad’s by any chance..
Brings back memories, my arm twitched at the right time the bowl needed to start opening. Great vijao. Push pull, no elevators and no tynes. The lack of bounce is impressive. Top notch operators here. Well done.
I'm trying to figure out the purpose of the push/pull type method. They dont move dirt like that down here in Louisiana. I just dont get why attach em when they'll do the same job separate?
@@Coonass with push pull it increases power. You get a larger more compacted heavier load quicker than alone. It also decreases strain on components as the machines dont have to work so hard to get a load. I've been in triple trains where it's taken less than a minute to load all 3 and I mean load em. We where moving around 200 loads a piece push pulling
@@Bowiiihowdy
That’s impressive
How much overburdened do these scarpers carry in tons..
How much does one of these 757 cost in dollars $
The best push pull video ever! but was worried as only two but then the others came. brings back memorys from long ago from ts-14 to a 637
Yes, only the most
Experience get the
New ones! 🚜🇺🇸
Push pull. A thing of beauty. You make it look easy. Nice job SCEM.
Awesome video. On a job-site from 2001-2004 in San Jose (Ranch on Silver Creek) I worked with at least a dozen or so 657's, and a number of 637's and a bunch of 631's. It was an awesome site to see 8-10 657's in a cut, ripping it up, then running to the fill-sites. Was a HUGE job, and I believe the contractor was Independent from NorCal. Worked with a bunch of awesome people down there!! Was a great job!!
Is GRANITE still going worked for them at gopher canyon Rd 1979
Huge machines ripping up dirt. Doesn`t get much better than that! Thanks for doing these videos!
God the sound of those motors. I operate a 631k. It's a great thing when you love what you do.
I work for caterpillar as an engineer and have worked on projects with scrapers in the past. I love watching SoCal earth movers putting our machines to work!
As someone that operates some heavy equipment (not scrapers but others), I really appreciate you guys for your work. I mean people always admire the operator for his smooth work, but its you guys making it possible. Machines these days are so well engineered its a pleasure operating them. Thank you
Haha try working on them.
You a mechanic?
Yeah. I love the 657's
What a great sight two double barrel 657g right off the show room floor, put to work the first time.
Those G's are sweet. I ran a 637 C in the 70's/80's building Americas freeway system
The first time I’ve seen brand new scrapers in action.
awesome vid, love watching scrapers in action!
Fantastic to see these monsters in action close up, excellent drone work and it was awesome to see the lowboys hauling them on to the site. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe. Pat. UK.
My favorite scraper as a mechanic because they break down so often😂😂
superb great to see you back!
At first there’s two, and then they arrive in force! 💪🏻👷🏻♂️🇺🇸
Back in my day in the year 1975 while building lake Montcello in South Carolina, we had a fleet of 631 pans with sides added to haul 38 yards. We had to have D-9's with push blades to get us out of the Pitt. We had 25 pans running round the clock except Sunday when they service all pans and dozers and 16G Motorgrader for the haul roads. I miss those days. Today the machines you have would put me to sleep. Too easy
Those 16s thro a windrow
With so many pans running, and the haul road over two miles at times, it is all the graders could do to keep the holes out of the road. @@dennisholst4322
If you're not the lead scraper, the view never changes. Excellent video. Very well done.
Even as a lead, it's not much better, but my ride is a lot worst than this. I run a Terex TS14G.
Brilliant video. So relaxing to watch!
Sweet get-er done.
The sound and video quality is very good thank you.
Good video: lots of action and movement; this must be scraper technology/operations at it's top. Looks like they work in pairs, helping each other to load, very productive.
Thanks for the ground level video to go with the aerial views. Gives a perspective.
Love it. Takes me back to the late 1960s early 1970s building the M3 in UK, Cat 657s being helped to load with Cat D8s

Those are some badass machines. Very awesome.
I never have had the privilege of operating these beautiful 657s but I sure ran those awesome 637s when they were King of the dirt
Push Pull Pans are absolutely awesome
Bail on a 57 will the radiator on a 37
Love those scrapers. Nice video!
I like the first scene.
I want more like that. ✌️
Enjoy watching these new monsters in action!!!
Wow thats a beast!
and it looks like a
smooth ride. It Should its a new one. The newest 1
That I operated was
627G
That was so cool to watch
Nothing purrs like a cat 😀😀
Super video. Very enjoyable to watch 👍
You guys have the best videos.!!!
Tasty new machines, yummy!
Can you dig it!
True LHD machines...Load Haul and Dump. Love the big machinery as a mechanic
Fantastic video! Like watching professional ballet! There is not much I like about California any more but the site preperation for subdivisions is excellent. Here in Wyoming, the developer just grubs the brush off. Nothing level about them here.
Thanks for making these videos.
very great and good video !! thanks
I ran these 657G. They are very nice machine never easily stuck.. they drive like Benz Fi real...
Fantastic video!!!!
Damn they're Big Machines
Holy crap thats in my back yard!
At the coal fired power plant I worked at...we used a 657 with a "coal bowl". Since coal was much lighter the bowl could be much larger. One day it was loaded with rock to spread on the road using the ejector to feed it out. They loaded the large bowl like normal but since the rock weighed so much more it blew out the rear tires. Expensive day.
Somebody shouda said something.
Never heard of that. Very cool. Always new tricks to learn
My interest in diggers started with a ride in aTerex scraper at about 10 years old in 76, I'm 53 now and still have a huge interest, but never worked in the industry, did do a course in a Volvo bendy dump truck, but couldn't get a start, as I had no experience,
,those are some big ass pans . It's amazing how much faster they can move dirt, than a loader and rock trucks
Oh ya. In good dirt down hill 20 seconds or less per machine. They never stop moving. It's a recipe for dirt moving
brilliant strategy !!!!!
They are so pretty when new, would break my heart to get them dirty. :)
That smell of fresh newness ,
Good to see good operators I'm miss you guys lol🤣
we love CAT the best.
Biggest scraper i been on was 627 scraper i mostly do finish grade with 13 and 23.. would love push pull .with 57s tho..
Awesome video
Just plain beuteefull Vid and brand new big girls!! ;-)
That the best video I have seen yet . A view from in side of the cab and again from a aerial view well done thank you for that
Kind of cool how the connect during a load..and seperate after loading..the front one fill first then the back one..The whole time they are inter locked to help each other load up..
saves a cat running back and scrapers waiting for it.
When I win that powerball I’m gettin one 🙏
..... and then you will have the smoothest lawn in the neighborhood.
They are rough as guts! Go work for someone and get paid to drive them 💡
Yes Indeed very enjoyable to watch alright
Those look so beautiful, the biggest ive operated was a 621G. I would love to operate a 657G for a couple of days
sterling Wilkey they’re fun!
Well if you like Gs haha. I prefer the 57Es way smoother but compared to a 21G a 57g runs smooth
I love run 7s
Amazing
So saudade bons tempos
interesting looking place
Big money!!

Empurra Puxa Carrega Descarrega e vamo que vamo
That's big like Benny Hill used to say.🚧👍
Oh the memories😂😂😂😂
Yep
They stopped makin em.
Great stuff
I don't think so. They are still on the CAT web page!
Sweet vid!! Man i love that new CAT smell :) :)
nice but you aint run a pan until you hear a detroit screaming all day.
rubypearl Wilson ha, yup.. ain't that the truth!
+kevin webster sitting on a wet peice of plywood to. cant forget that
A braços.

It must be nice to operate for a company that buys good equipment. The last company I ran scrapers for Would do dirty shit like disconnect the rear brakes on them. Plus they were mostly old 621 b models where the cushion hitch never worked. Open cabs when it was 100+ and 100% humidity and open cabs when it was 10 degrees and snowing. They didn't care.
Good grief. Reminds me of open cab D8 Cat dozers I ran in my early teen years on the Mississippi River in Memphis. Sweat bees would have you smacking yourself 100 times a day..
Amen. You gotta invest in your business and keep your employees happy. A comfortable operator can get way more work done.
Fun to look at nice to touch, ridin inside not so much.
what an operation. you guys must send out some eye-popping bills for all that heavy machine time. hope your cat dealer sends you more than a christmas card every year.😉
how cool
I'm crazy to drive this one
good video :D
Need D9 for pushing if you like good work progress . i love this job .
CATERPILLAR 657G WPV 568 DE BARRANQUILLA
Very good
Did I click the load counter??
mototraillas exelencia del trabajo
Those have nice lines, but I still want a Bentley.
push-pull, right? very cool!
wow - these beasts can move can't they! ...would love to have done something like this - these guys are really lucky driving these massive machines around on their own all day with their colleagues - an awesome job!
(can anyone tell me how much these cost new ...I've noticed 1985 versions going for a quarter of a mill - so they obviously hold their value)
Very Nice. How many cubic meters of dirt can they transport each time?
Awesome technology on tour. They're cruizin' right along! Mph?
do they still have a bunch of 660B's i would think that checking out the used ones on the market to keep a fleet for spare parts.. nice new scrapers though. must have a huge storage yard when they are not all out flattening out the mountains. a friend (rip) dug foundations for hundreds of home projects in the 50s thru the late 70s.. with a challenger ring trencher on an oliver crawler frame and a ford super 5000 backhoe..
